    In 2024, the retail price of one pound of bananas in the United States decreased slightly compared to the year before and registered at **** cents. Prices have hovered around ** cents for the past seven years. Banana trade in the U.S. Consumers in the United States love bananas. The country was the biggest importer of bananas by a wide margin, receiving around *** billion U.S. dollars worth of the fruit in 2021.
