    An online survey conducted in 2019 asked teens in the United States and the United Kingdom how Instagram had affected the way they feel about themselves and their mental health. Overall, 41 percent of U.S. teens and 46 percent of U.K. teens said that the social media platform had no effect on they way they felt about themselves. However, between twelve and 23 percent of teens said that the platform made them feel somewhat worse and between two and three percent of respondents stated that it had made them feel much worse.

    This National Statistics release is based on data from the Labour Force Survey.

    The release was published quarterly until March 2018, but has since been published annually.

    It gives estimates of young people not in education, employment or training (NEET), and estimates of young people not in education or training (NET).

    The figures cover 16 to 24 year olds in England, together with age breakdowns such as 16 to 17 year olds.

    The figures include breakdowns by region, sex and labour market status. Breakdowns by health condition are included using the Annual Population Survey.

    An online survey conducted in 2019 asked teens in the United States and the United Kingdom about negative things they had felt in the last month that had had started as a result of using Instagram. Overall, 51 percent of U.S. teens and 39 percent of U.K. teens stated that wanting to create the perfect image had started on the social media platform. Over 40 percent of all teens that participated stated that the platform resulted in them not feeling attractive and feeling that they did not have enough money. In addition, seven to nine percent of teens reported that use of the platform evoked feelings of wanting to self-harm.

    About this dataset

    Context

    The dataset presents the the household distribution across 16 income brackets among four distinct age groups in Olds: Under 25 years, 25-44 years, 45-64 years, and over 65 years. The dataset highlights the variation in household income, offering valuable insights into economic trends and disparities within different age categories, aiding in data analysis and decision-making..

    Key observations

    • Upon closer examination of the distribution of households among age brackets, it reveals that there are 10(21.74%) households where the householder is under 25 years old, 9(19.57%) households with a householder aged between 25 and 44 years, 18(39.13%) households with a householder aged between 45 and 64 years, and 9(19.57%) households where the householder is over 65 years old.
    • The age group of 25 to 44 years exhibits the highest median household income, while the largest number of households falls within the 45 to 64 years bracket. This distribution hints at economic disparities within the city of Olds, showcasing varying income levels among different age demographics.

    • 25 to 44 years: The count of households led by a head of household 25 to 44 years old with income within a specified income bracket.
    • 45 to 64 years: The count of households led by a head of household 45 to 64 years old with income within a specified income bracket.
    • 65 years and over: The count of households led by a head of household 65 years and over old with income within a specified income bracket.
