The TIGER/Line shapefiles and related database files (.dbf) are an extract of selected geographic and cartographic information from the U.S. Census Bureau's Master Address File / Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (MAF/TIGER) Database (MTDB). The MTDB represents a seamless national file with no overlaps or gaps between parts, however, each TIGER/Line shapefile is designed to stand alone as an independent data set, or they can be combined to cover the entire nation. Census tracts are small, relatively permanent statistical subdivisions of a county or equivalent entity, and were defined by local participants as part of the 2010 Census Participant Statistical Areas Program. The Census Bureau delineated the census tracts in situations where no local participant existed or where all the potential participants declined to participate. The primary purpose of census tracts is to provide a stable set of geographic units for the presentation of census data and comparison back to previous decennial censuses. Census tracts generally have a population size between 1,200 and 8,000 people, with an optimum size of 4,000 people. When first delineated, census tracts were designed to be homogeneous with respect to population characteristics, economic status, and living conditions. The spatial size of census tracts varies widely depending on the density of settlement. Physical changes in street patterns caused by highway construction, new development, and so forth, may require boundary revisions. In addition, census tracts occasionally are split due to population growth, or combined as a result of substantial population decline. Census tract boundaries generally follow visible and identifiable features. They may follow legal boundaries such as minor civil division (MCD) or incorporated place boundaries in some States and situations to allow for census tract-to-governmental unit relationships where the governmental boundaries tend to remain unchanged between censuses. State and county boundaries always are census tract boundaries in the standard census geographic hierarchy. In a few rare instances, a census tract may consist of noncontiguous areas. These noncontiguous areas may occur where the census tracts are coextensive with all or parts of legal entities that are themselves noncontiguous. For the 2010 Census, the census tract code range of 9400 through 9499 was enforced for census tracts that include a majority American Indian population according to Census 2000 data and/or their area was primarily covered by federally recognized American Indian reservations and/or off-reservation trust lands; the code range 9800 through 9899 was enforced for those census tracts that contained little or no population and represented a relatively large special land use area such as a National Park, military installation, or a business/industrial park; and the code range 9900 through 9998 was enforced for those census tracts that contained only water area, no land area.
The Juvenile Residential Facility Census (JRFC), which is conducted biennially, collects basic information on juvenile residential facility characteristics, including security, capacity and crowding, injuries and deaths in custody, and facility ownership and operation. The JRFC also includes questions about facility type (such as detention center, training school, ranch, or group home) and residential services provided by the facility (such as independent living, foster care, or other arrangements), and detailed questions about mental health, substance abuse, and educational services provided to young persons. In 2014, the JRFC was divided into seven sections: General facility information Mental health services Educational services Substance abuse services Events in the 30 days prior to the census reference date Deaths in the year prior to the census reference date Space shared with other facilities Congress requires the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) to report annually on the number of deaths of juveniles in custody; the JRFC gathers this information and offers a portrait of the nation's juvenile facilities. Census 2014 data containing the School Attendance Age (between 5 and 17 year-old) variables. This data is disagregated by female/male, urban/rural and both categories. It has indicators such as: Percent of population (5-17 years) currently attending school.
Geostat conducted Census of Agriculture 2014 in accordance with the World Programme of Agricultural Censuses 2006-2015 recommended by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). The census was based on the FAO methodology. Statistics experts of FAO and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) were actively engaged at every stage of the census process. At the first stage, in November 2014, together with Population Census there was conducted Census of Agriculture for households. In addition to this, in spring 2015 there was conducted Census of Agriculture for legal entities. As a result, the census covered all agricultural holdings in the country (on the territory controlled by the Government of Georgia) – all households and legal entities, who, as of October 1, 2014, were owning or temporarily operating agricultural land, livestock, poultry, beehive or permanent crop (agricultural), regardless the fact whether there was produced any kind of agricultural product or not during the reference year. The census provided diverse information about agriculture of Georgia such is structure and use of land operated by holdings, livestock, poultry and beehive numbers.

The main statistical unit was the agricultural holding, defined as an economic unit engaged in agricultural production under single management without regard to size and legal status. An economic unit that operates agricultural land or permanent crop trees, but that during the reference year has no agricultural production, is also considered an agricultural holding. As the AC 2014 data collection for the agricultural holdings in the household sector was carried out jointly with the GPC, the common statistical unit was the agricultural production household. Two types of agricultural holdings were distinguished: family holdings and agricultural enterprises.

(a) Frame In 2013, Geostat conducted preliminary fieldwork to establish the list of dwellings and households existing in Georgia. The information received from the preliminary fieldwork was used to update and finalize the census frame for data collection. For agricultural enterprises, to ensure full coverage of the list of potential agricultural enterprises, all existing reliable sources in the country were used.

The AC 2014 questionnaire covered 15 of the 16 core items recommended for the WCA 2010 round. The following item was not covered: "Other economic production activities of the holding's enterprise".
(a) DATA PROCESSING AND ARCHIVING For several months after the census enumeration, approximately 300 people worked on the digitalization of census data. They were permanently supervised by IT and other technical staff. In parallel, digitized questionnaires were compared with paper questionnaires by editors. Finally, data were cleaned by the appropriate division at the central office of Geostat. The data cleaning process used several methods. Data relating to large holdings were verified by telephone calls. In addition, different reliable sources (registers) were used to fill in missing data. Furthermore, donor imputation was used to fill in the missing values. For tabulation, a special software was prepared by Geostat. Geostat implemented a microdata archiving system to save the census data.
(b) CENSUS DATA QUALITY Geostat conducted a PES to assess the quality of the AC. During the fieldwork, Geostat used a six-level control system, which involved the following categories of census staff: field work coordinator, regional coordinator, municipal supervisor, sector supervisor, instructor-coordinator and enumerator.

After each decennial census, the Census Bureau delineates Public Use Microdata Areas (PUMAs) for the tabulation and dissemination of decennial census Public Use Microdata Sample (PUMS) data, American Community Survey (ACS) PUMS data, and ACS period estimates. Nesting within states, or equivalent entities, PUMAs cover the entirety of the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. PUMA delineations are subject to population, building block geography, geographic nesting, and contiguity criteria. The purpose of conducting an Agricultural Census (AC) in the Republic of Armenia is to obtain information about the structure of agriculture in the country, establish an integral survey system of statistical data on agriculture, create a statistical register for rural households, and ensure comparability with international statistical data.
The data collected during the census will be used to create systems of monitoring indices for poverty monitoring, food security monitoring, agricultural programming and relevant policy development, maintenance of gender-based statistics, improvement of the quality of the current statistics, delivery of more comprehensive information to consumers etc. The data will also enable improvement of the current statistics in the sphere of agriculture, establish a complete system on statistical information about agriculture, create statistical registers for entities engaged in agriculture, develop the sampling tools for statistics and ensure their compliance with the current standards and criteria, identify trends in changes of agricultural infrastructures and specify a more detailed composition and structure of agriculture as an entrepreneurship.

Universe includes individual (rural) households, individual agricultural holdings of urban population, individual holdings of members of horticultural associations, communities, all agricultural holdings with legal status, private entrepreneurs, and, collective holdings (penitentiary institutions, military units, social care institutions for the elderly and disabled, educational institutions, and scientific experimantal units).
The Agricultural Census has also considered the units which implemented the following types of agricultural activities (irrespective of whether the agricultural activities were their major or secondary type of activity):
- Cultivation of agricultural crops (grain crops and leguminous crops, technical crops, potato, vegetable crops, melon crops, forage crops, fruit and berries, grapes).
- Cultivation of flowers, mushroom, saplings, seedlings, etc.
- Livestock and poultry breeding.
- Production of plant cultivation and cattle-breeding products.
- Activities related to maintaining the agricultural lands in favourable agricultural and environmental conditions, etc.
The Agricultural Census did not consider the units which have only the following: - Stables, areas designated for horse riding, - Slaughter- houses or points of animal sale.
The units engaged only in the following activities were not considered either: - Hunting and forestry.
