TwitterThe Land Capability Classification for Agriculture has as its objective the presentation of detailed information on soil, climate and relief in a form which will be of value to land use planners, agricultural advisers, farmers and others involved in optimising the use of land resources. The classification ranks land on the basis of its potential productivity and cropping flexibility determined by the extent to which its physical characteristics (soil, climate and relief) impose long term restrictions on its agricultural use. THE CLASSES Class 1. Land capable of producing a very wide range of crops with high yields Class 2. Land capable of producing a wide range of crops with yields less high than Class 1. Class 3. Land capable of producing good yields from a moderate range of crops. Class 4. Land capable of producing a narrow range of crops. Class 5. Land suited only to improved grassland and rough grazing. Class 6. Land capable only of use as rough grazing. Class 7. Land of very limited agricultural value. THE DIVISIONS A division is a ranking within a class. As the requirements of the crops suited to Classes 1 and 2 are fairly stringent, land in these classes has inherently low degrees of internal variability and no divisions are present. The requirements of crops grown in the remaining classes are less rigorous, consequently land included is more variable in character.

This spatial dataset provides polygon information on the land capability map units of the Weddell area, Northern Territory. This survey provides high resolution (1:10,000 scale) land capability information to support the development of the proposed Township of Weddell and surrounds specifically describing the land capability for urban development with respect to soil drainage, soil depth, slope, gravels and rock. This dataset was completed in 2011 however was made available to the public in July 2020.

The increased availability of customer information has inspired personalized pricing in recent years. However, the implementation of personalized pricing faces some challenges. On the one hand, personalized pricing is imperfect and its accuracy depends on firms’ big data capability. On the other hand, customers have growing privacy concerns about personalized pricing. The above two downward factors hinder the profitability of personalized pricing, but how these factors affect the interests of supply chain members and customers remains unclear. Moreover, when facing privacy-concerned customers, it is worth exploring which strategy is better: personalized or uniform pricing. Our findings indicate that (i) As big data capability increases, supply chain members’ profits increase and customer surplus decreases; as privacy concerns increase, both supply chain members’ profits and customer surplus decrease. (ii) Personalized pricing can reduce double marginalization compared to uniform pricing. Privacy-concerned customers always prefer uniform pricing than personalized pricing. (iii) Uniform pricing is a win-win strategy when the big data capability is low, and personalized pricing is a win-win strategy when the big data capability is high. These findings can provide practical insights for firms to choose an optimal price strategy when facing privacy-concerned customers.

Land capability for grazing in the south west of Western Australia based on analysis and interpretation of the best available soil-landscape mapping dataset (DPIRD-027). This assessment covers the grazing of sheep and cattle on broadscale dryland (i.e. nonirrigated) pastures in agricultural areas (receiving an average annual rainfall more than 350 mm). Land capability refers to the ability of land to support a type of land use without causing damage. See DAFWA Resource Management Technical Report 298 for a description of the qualities assessed and the methodology involved. Capability ratings do not take into account factors such as the availability and quality of water supplies for irrigation or climatic risks such as frost or heat stress. Such factors need to be considered as a separate layer of information.

Although big data analytics capability (BDAC) leads to competitive performance, the mechanism of the relationship is still unclear. To narrow the research gap, this paper investigates the mediating roles of two forms of resource integration (resource optimization and resource bricolage) in the relationship between two forms of BDAC [big data analytics (BDA) management capability and BDA technology capability] and competitive performance. Supported by Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and the cross-sectional survey data from 219 Chinese enterprises, the results show that the resource bricolage plays a significantly mediating role in the relationships between BDA management capability and competitive performance as well as in the relationship between BDA technology capability and competitive performance. Furthermore, the mediating effect in the former relationship is stronger than that in the latter relationship. Additionally, BDA technology capability only has a direct effect on resource bricolage, while BDA management capability has a stronger effect on resource optimization than that on resource bricolage. Finally, resource bricolage has a stronger impact on competitive performance than resource optimization. These findings contribute to understanding how enterprises could apply different forms of BDAC to other kinds of resource integration to achieve outstanding competitive performance.

ABSTRACT The goal of the study is to investigate the influence of dynamic capabilities on organizational performance and the role of marketing capabilities as a mediator in this relationship in the context of private HEIs in Brazil. As a research method we carried out a survey with 316 IES and data analysis was operationalized with the technique of structural equation modeling. The results indicate that the dynamic capabilities have influence on organizational performance only when mediated by marketing ability. The marketing capability has an important role in the survival, growth and renewal on educational services offerings for HEIs in private sector, and consequently in organizational performance. It is also demonstrated that mediated relationship is more intense for HEI with up to 3,000 students and other organizational profile variables such as amount of courses, the constitution, the type of institution and type of education do not significantly alter the results.
