    This Alberta Official Statistic describes the mobility status (Place of Residence 5 years ago) of Albertans by Census Division for 2011. Mobility status refers to the relationship between a person’s usual place of residence on Census Day 2011 and his or her usual place of residence five years earlier in 2006. “Movers” are those who reported a change of address. “Internal migrants” resided in a different census division (CD) within Canada. “External migrants” resided outside Canada. Internal migrants who moved within the same province are called “intraprovincial migrants”, while those who moved between two provinces are identified as “interprovincial migrants”. Non-migrants are people who, on Census Day, were living at a different address but within the same CD five years earlier.

    For many countries lat/lng are determined with an algorithm that searches the place names in the main geonames database using administrative divisions and numerical vicinity of the postal codes as factors in the disambiguation of place names. For postal codes and place name for which no corresponding toponym in the main geonames database could be found an average lat/lng of 'neighbouring' postal codes is calculated. It is released under the Open Government License - Canada.

    The ODHF compiles open, publicly available, and directly-provided data on health facilities across Canada. Data sources include regional health authorities, provincial, territorial and municipal governments, and public health and professional healthcare bodies. This database aims to provide enhanced access to a harmonized listing of health facilities across Canada by making them available as open data.     The inputs for the ODHF are datasets whose sources include regional health authorities, provincial, territorial and municipal governments, and public health and professional healthcare bodies. These datasets were available either under one of the various types of open data licences, e.g., in an open government portal, or as publicly available data. In certain cases, data were obtained directly from administrative sources. Details of the sources used are available in the ODHF metadata.

    The data sources used do not deploy a uniform classification system. The ODHF harmonizes facility type by assigning one of three types to each health facility. This was done based on the facility type provided in the source data as well as using other research carried out for the purpose. The 3 facility types used in the ODHF include:Ambulatory Health Care ServicesHospitalsNursing and Residential Care FacilitiesHowever, alternative medicine (e.g., herbalists) and specialist areas (e.g., chiropractors, dentists, mental health specialists, etc.) are not in scope for the current ODHF version (version 1.1).

    The ODHF does not assert having exhaustive coverage and may not contain all facilities in scope for the current version. While efforts have been made to minimize these, facility type classification and geolocation errors are also possible. While all data are released on the same date, the dates as of which data are current depends on the update dates of the sources used.

    A subset of geo-coordinates available in the source data were validated using the internet and updated as needed. When latitude and longitude were not available, geocoding was performed for some sources using address data in the source. Some coordinates were also removed from the original sources when it was determined they were derived from postal codes or other aggregate geographic areas as opposed to street address.

    Deduplication was done to remove duplicates for cases where sources overlapped in coverage.

    This current version of the database (version 1.1) contains approximately 7,000 records. Data were collected by accessing sources between November 2019 and March 2020 for the initial release, with additional data collected or otherwise updated from May to June 2020 for version 1.1.

    Description

    TOLNet_ECCC_Data is the lidar data collected by the Autonomous Mobile Ozone LIDAR instrument for Tropospheric Experiments (AMOLITE) lidar at Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) in Toronto, Canada as part of the Tropospheric Ozone Lidar Network (TOLNet). Data collection for this product is ongoing.In the troposphere, ozone is considered a pollutant and is important to understand due to its harmful effects on human health and vegetation. Tropospheric ozone is also significant for its impact on climate as a greenhouse gas. Operating since 2011, TOLNet is an interagency collaboration between NASA, NOAA, and the EPA designed to perform studies of air quality and atmospheric modeling as well as validation and interpretation of satellite observations. TOLNet is currently comprised of six Differential Absorption Lidars (DIAL). Each of the lidars are unique, and some have had a long history of ozone observations prior to joining the network. Five lidars are mobile systems that can be deployed at remote locations to support field campaigns. This includes the Langley Mobile Ozone Lidar (LMOL) at NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC), the Tropospheric Ozone (TROPOZ) lidar at the Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), the Tunable Optical Profile for Aerosol and oZone (TOPAZ) lidar at the NOAA Chemical Sciences Laboratory (CSL) in Boulder, Colorado, the Autonomous Mobile Ozone LIDAR instrument for Tropospheric Experiments (AMOLITE) lidar at Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) in Toronto, Canada, and the Rocket-city O3 Quality Evaluation in the Troposphere (RO3QET) lidar at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Alabama. The remaining lidars, the Table Mountain Facility (TMF) tropospheric ozone lidar system located at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), and City College of New York (CCNY) New York Tropospheric Ozone Lidar System (NYTOLS) are fixed systems.TOLNet seeks to address three science objectives. The primary objective of the network is to provide high spatio-temporal measurements of ozone from near the surface to the top of the troposphere. Detailed observations of ozone structure allow science teams and the modeling community to better understand ozone in the lower-atmosphere and to assess the accuracy and vertical resolution with which geosynchronous instruments could retrieve the observed laminar ozone structures. Another objective of TOLNet is to identify an ozone lidar instrument design that would be suitable to address the needs of NASA, NOAA, and EPA air quality scientists who express a desire for these ozone profiles. The third objective of TOLNET is to perform basic scientific research into the processes create and destroy the ubiquitously observed ozone laminae and other ozone features in the troposphere. To help fulfill these objectives, lidars that are a part of TOLNet have been deployed to support nearly ten campaigns thus far. This includes campaigns such as the Deriving Information on Surface conditions from Column and Vertically Resolved Observations Relevant to Air Quality (DISCOVER-AQ) mission, the Korea United States Air Quality Study (KORUS-AQ), the Tracking Aerosol Convection ExpeRiment – Air Quality (TRACER-AQ) campaign, the Front Range Air Pollution and Photochemistry Éxperiment (FRAPPÉ), the Long Island Sound Tropospheric Ozone Study (LISTOS), and the Ozone Water–Land Environmental Transition Study (OWLETS).

Abstract: We introduce the StatCan Dialogue Dataset consisting of 19,379 conversation turns between agents working at Statistics Canada and online users looking for published data tables. The conversations stem from genuine intents, are held in English or French, and lead to agents retrieving one of over 5000 complex data tables. Based on this dataset, we propose two tasks: (1) automatic retrieval of relevant tables based on a on-going conversation, and (2) automatic generation of appropriate agent responses at each turn. We investigate the difficulty of each task by establishing strong baselines. Our experiments on a temporal data split reveal that all models struggle to generalize to future conversations, as we observe a significant drop in performance across both tasks when we move from the validation to the test set. In addition, we find that response generation models struggle to decide when to return a table. Considering that the tasks pose significant challenges to existing models, we encourage the community to develop models for our task, which can be directly used to help knowledge workers find relevant tables for live chat users.

    This dataset includes the listing prices for the sale of properties (mostly houses) in Ontario. They are obtained for a short period of time in July 2016 and include the following fields: - Price in dollars - Address of the property - Latitude and Longitude of the address obtained by using Google Geocoding service - Area Name of the property obtained by using Google Geocoding service

    This dataset will provide a good starting point for analyzing the inflated housing market in Canada although it does not include time related information. Initially, it is intended to draw an enhanced interactive heatmap of the house prices for different neighborhoods (areas)

    However, if there is enough interest, there will be more information added as newer versions to this dataset. Some of those information will include more details on the property as well as time related information on the price (changes).

    Description

    The Yukon civic address point data layer was created by Geomatics Yukon at the Yukon government on behalf of all Yukon address authorities as part of the Civic Address data management and integration project. The civic address data layer was modelled to meet the Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG 9-1-1) data standards for site structure address points based on the Canadian GIS data model version 2. This Civic address layer is incomplete but is based on the best available data that the Yukon government contains. The original source of the data was from the polygon-based parcel address layer that was linked with legal survey parcels. This point address layer is being regularly updated as more information is provided and confirmed with the project team. Updates are expected to be loaded monthly or bimonthly. The project team is working with Yukon address authorities to compile civic addresses for all Yukon government site structures. Address authorities are the governments, municipalities, communities, and First Nations governments that are responsible for determining addresses on their land. The project team has reached out to these address authorities as part of the project to offer support to include their civic addresses into one consolidated authoritative Yukon civic address point layer that will meet these NG 9-1-1 standards. The communities and First Nations addresses will be added as they are ready and able to provide them to the project team, based on the project team's available resources. The target will be to have a complete civic address database by the end of 2024. A long term program will need to be established for maintenance of this data beyond the life of the project.     This map presents the full data available on the MLTSD GeoHub, and maps several of the key variables reflected by the Second Career Program of ETD.The Second Career program provides training to unemployed or laid-off individuals to help them find employment in high demand occupations in Ontario. The intention of the SC program is to return individuals to employment by the most cost effective path. Second Career provides up to $28,000 to assist laid-off workers with training-related costs such as tuition, books, transportation, and basic living expenses, based on individual need. Additional allowances may be available for people with disabilities, and for clients needing help with the costs of dependent care, living away from home and literacy and basic skills upgrading, also based on individual need. People with disabilities may also be given extensions on training and upgrading durations, to meet their specific needs. Clients may be required to contribute to their skills training, based on the client’s total annual gross household income and the number of household members.About This DatasetThis dataset contains data on SC clients for each of the twenty-six Local Board (LB) areas in Ontario for the 2015/16 fiscal year, based on data provided to Local Boards and Local Employment Planning Councils (LEPC) in June 2016 (see below for details on Local Boards). These clients have been distributed across Local Board areas based on the client’s home address, not the address of their training institution(s).Different variables in this dataset cover different groups of Second Career clients, as follows:Demographic and skills training variables are composed of all SC clients that started in 2015/16.At exit outcome variables are composed of all SC clients that completed their program in 2015/16.12-month outcome variables are composed of all SC clients that completed a 12-month survey in 2015/16.The specific variables that fall into each of the above categories are detailed in the Technical Dictionary. For the 2015/16 fiscal year there were twenty-six Local Boards, which collectively covered all of the province of Ontario. The primary role of Local Boards is to help improve the conditions of their local labour market by:engaging communities in a locally-driven process to identify and respond to the key trends, opportunities and priorities that prevail in their local labour markets;facilitating a local planning process where community organizations and institutions agree to initiate and/or implement joint actions to address local labour market issues of common interest;creating opportunities for partnership development activities and projects that respond to more complex and/or pressing local labour market challenges; andorganizing events and undertaking activities that promote the importance of education, training and skills upgrading to youth, parents, employers, employed and unemployed workers, and the public in general.In December 2015, the government of Ontario launched an eighteen-month Local Employment Planning Council pilot program, which established LEPCs in eight regions in the province formerly covered by Local Boards.     TOLNet_CSL_Data is the lidar data collected by the Tunable Optical Profile for Aerosol and oZone (TOPAZ) lidar at the NOAA Chemical Sciences Laboratory (CSL) in Boulder, Colorado as part of the Tropospheric Ozone Lidar Network (TOLNet). Data collection for this product is ongoing.In the troposphere, ozone is considered a pollutant and is important to understand due to its harmful effects on human health and vegetation. Tropospheric ozone is also significant for its impact on climate as a greenhouse gas. Operating since 2011, TOLNet is an interagency collaboration between NASA, NOAA, and the EPA designed to perform studies of air quality and atmospheric modeling as well as validation and interpretation of satellite observations. TOLNet is currently comprised of seven Differential Absorption Lidars (DIAL). Each of the lidars are unique, and some have had a long history of ozone observations prior to joining the network. Five lidars are mobile systems that can be deployed at remote locations to support field campaigns. This includes the Langley Mobile Ozone Lidar (LMOL) at NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC), the Tropospheric Ozone (TROPOZ) lidar at the Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), the Tunable Optical Profile for Aerosol and oZone (TOPAZ) lidar at the NOAA Chemical Sciences Laboratory (CSL) in Boulder, Colorado, the Autonomous Mobile Ozone LIDAR instrument for Tropospheric Experiments (AMOLITE) lidar at Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) in Toronto, Canada, and the Rocket-city O3 Quality Evaluation in the Troposphere (RO3QET) lidar at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Alabama. The remaining lidars, the Table Mountain Facility (TMF) tropospheric ozone lidar system located at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), and City College of New York (CCNY) New York Tropospheric Ozone Lidar System (NYTOLS) are fixed systems.TOLNet seeks to address three science objectives. The primary objective of the network is to provide high spatio-temporal measurements of ozone from near the surface to the top of the troposphere. Detailed observations of ozone structure allow science teams and the modeling community to better understand ozone in the lower-atmosphere and to assess the accuracy and vertical resolution with which geosynchronous instruments could retrieve the observed laminar ozone structures. Another objective of TOLNet is to identify an ozone lidar instrument design that would be suitable to address the needs of NASA, NOAA, and EPA air quality scientists who express a desire for these ozone profiles. The third objective of TOLNET is to perform basic scientific research into the processes create and destroy the ubiquitously observed ozone laminae and other ozone features in the troposphere. To help fulfill these objectives, lidars that are a part of TOLNet have been deployed to support nearly ten campaigns thus far.
