More than three quarters of adult Russians used their smartphones for communication in messenger apps, according to a survey conducted from August to September 2019. Approximately 70 percent consumed digital music and video with such device. More than 60 percent stated that they read news from aggregator websites, such as Yandex, Mail.ru, or Rambler, from their smartphones.
