TwitterThese maps display the areas throughout the city that were impacted by the new school attendance zones as of SY2015-16. The area is considered impacted if it was reassigned to a different school or reassigned to just one of its current school options (previously some areas had rights to multiple schools due to school closures). These maps do not take into account phasing in policies. For more information about the 2014 Student Assignment and Boundaries Review Process, visit https://dme.dc.gov.

TwitterAttendance boundaries for middle schools in the Chicago Public Schools district for school year 2022-2023. Note: only 24 middle schools have attendance boundaries in school year 2022-2023. Middle school boundaries are often established to relieve overcrowding at nearby elementary schools. Generally, all students in the applicable middle school grades who live within one of these boundaries may attend the school.

This dataset is an updated version of the 2008 dataset containing all public school locations in North Carolina. New schools were geocoded in ArcGIS 10 and merged with the existing dataset. Closed schools were removed, and existing attribute information was updated with current data. Some new fields were added, including designations for Pre-K, Elementary, Middle, High, and Early College schools. A review process was performed to move incorrect existing school points to new correct locations. Not all points were able to be individually reviewed, and may represent approximate school locations. This update was a collaborative effort among the Center for Geographic Information and Analysis, Institute for Transportation Research and Education, and NC Department of Public Instruction. Current school data was provided by NC DPI, using the Educational Directory and Demographical Information Exchange (EDDIE), found at http://apps.schools.nc.gov/eddie. ITRE used this dataset to conduct the update process, which included all steps of GIS analysis listed above. CGIA consulted on processing steps, lineage, and quality control to prepare the dataset for the NC OneMap Geospatial Portal.

TwitterThis file represents the boundaries of all reported public school attendance areas in the state of Minnesota for school year 2025-26. Attendance areas attempt to represent the detailed sub-district breakdowns that determine where students attend elementary, middle, and high schools. These areas are unique to each public school system, and this file is only a generalization of those breakdowns.
In most cases, users are interested in the "dissolved" school district boundaries, without attendance area breakdowns. Those boundaries are available in a separate resource, with one record for each independent, common, and special school district in Minnesota. For many districts that operate only a few schools, attendance area breakdowns are not used or defined; in those cases, attendance areas are equivalent to district boundaries.
Each year Minnesota public school systems are asked to report any changes to their elementary, middle and high school attendance area boundaries. This file was developed from this annual information. Users should be aware that reporting compliance is not mandatory, so the information included is only as accurate as provided by those independent, common, and special school districts. Actual decisions on where students attend which schools are made entirely by the districts, and changes are not always reported to MDE.
Please also see Horizontal Positional Accuracy notes in the school district boundary dataset, many of which also apply to this layer.

This data shows the attendance boundaries used to assign students to feeder pattern schools based on their place of residence. These boundaries were adopted for the 2012-13 school year by the Pittsburgh Public Schools. The boundaries were drawn to align with major roads, neighborhood boundaries, and natural features. Efforts were also made to enable all students within an elementary school to move to the same middle school, and allow all students in a middle school to transition to the same high school.

TwitterThis file represents the boundaries of all public school districts in the state of Minnesota for school year 2006-2007. Minnesota school districts identify their current elementary, middle and high school attendance area boundaries on a yearly basis using large format maps supplied by the Land Management Information Center (LMIC). This file is now maintained at the Department of Education, but is also supplied to the State of Minnesota Legislative Coordinating Commission GIS Office. The LCC keeps the 'official' school district information for the State of Minnesota. This school district file was dissolved from a file containing both the school district and attendance boundaries to produce just school district boundaries.
