The Hyderabad Annual Tree Biodiversity Survey is an initiative of WWF-India Hyderabad Office, dedicated to systematically documenting and studying the diverse tree species within the city. To be conducted annually, this survey aims to assess the urban tree population, identify biodiversity, and collect valuable ecological data. It is conducted to understand the relation between trees and animals in the city by recording different types of fauna observed on all trees we encounter during the survey. We also want the survey volunteers to feel more connected with nature by knowing more about flora and fauna around them, to promote environmental awareness. The survey is a collaborative effort, uniting community members, researchers, and environmentalists in having a deeper connection with nature and promoting a greener and healthier Hyderabad.
