This web map contains layers that contain some of the more commonly used variables from the General Community Profile information from the Australian Bureau of Statistics 2021 census. Data is available for Country, Greater Capital City Statistical Area (GCCSA), Local Government Area (LGA), Statistical Area Level 1 (SA1) and 2 (SA2), and Suburb and Localities (SAL) boundaries. The General Community Profile contains a series of tables showing the characteristics of persons, families and dwellings in a selected geographic area. The data is based on place of usual residence (that is, where people usually live, rather than where they were counted on Census night). Community Profiles are excellent tools for researching, planning and analysing geographic areas for a number of social, economic and demographic characteristics.Download the data here.Data and Geography notes:View the Readme files located in the DataPacks and GeoPackages zip files. To access the 2021 DataPacks, visit https://www.abs.gov.au/census/find-census-data/datapacksGlossary terms and definitions of classifications can be found in the 2021 Census DictionaryMore information about Census data products is available at https://www.abs.gov.au/census/guide-census-data/about-census-tools/datapacksDetailed geography information: https://www.abs.gov.au/statistics/standards/australian-statistical-geography-standard-asgs-edition-3/jul2021-jun2026/main-structure-and-greater-capital-city-statistical-areas: 2021 Statistical Area Level 1 (SA1), 2021 Statistical Area Level 2 (SA2), 2021 Greater Capital City Statistical Areas (GCCSA), 2021 Australia (AUS)https://www.abs.gov.au/statistics/standards/australian-statistical-geography-standard-asgs-edition-3/jul2021-jun2026/non-abs-structures: 2021 Suburbs and Localities (SAL), 2021 Local Government Areas (LGA)Please note that there are data assumptions that should be considered when analysing the ABS Census data. Abstract (en): The General Social Survey (GSS) conducts basic scientific research on the structure and development of American society with a data-collection program designed to both monitor societal change within the United States and to compare the United States to other nations. Begun in 1972, the GSS contains a standard 'core' of demographic, behavioral, and attitudinal questions, plus topics of special interest. Many of the core questions have remained unchanged since 1972 to facilitate time-trend studies as well as replication of earlier findings. All noninstitutionalized, English and Spanish speaking persons 18 years of age or older, living in the United States. Smallest Geographic Unit: census region 2016-06-30 The study metadata has been updated.2015-11-12 The study metadata has been updated. Funding insitution(s): National Science Foundation. computer-assisted personal interview (CAPI), face-to-face interview, telephone interview Please note that NORC may have updated the General Social Survey data files. Additional information regarding the General Social Surveys can be found at the General Social Survey (GSS) Web site and the Roper Center Web site.
The evaluation employs administrative data from 12 states, covering approximately 160,000 WIA Adult, WIA Dislocated Worker and WIA Youth participants and nearly 3 million comparison group members. Focusing on participants who entered WIA programs between July 2003 and June 2005, the evaluation considers the impact for all those in the program, the impact for those receiving only Core or Intensive Services, and the incremental impact of Training Services. This dataset contains all of the information used to conduct the non-experimental evaluation estimates for the 1) WIA Client Treatment Group and 2) The Unemployment Insurance and Employment Service Client comparison group. The administrative data collected by IMPAQ for the "Workforce Investment Act Non-Experimental Net Impact Evaluation" project were received from state agencies in three segments: annual Workforce Investment Act Standardized Record Data (WIASRD) or closely related files, Unemployment Insurance data, and Unemployment Insurance Wage Record data. The analysis were conducted for twelve states; however, based on the data sharing agreements, the Public Use Data (PUD) set includes data for nine states only. Our agreement for use of these data required that the identity of those states was not revealed. As a result, all geographical identifiers were removed to preserve states' anonymity.

The Generations and Gender Contextual Database is part of the Generations and Gender Programme (GGP). The GGP is Longitudinal Survey in around 60 countries that aims to improve the understanding of the various factors -including public policy and programme interventions - which affect the relationships between parents and children (generations) and between partners (gender). The GGP is coordinated by the United Nations Commission for Europe. The Generations and Gender Contextual Database is hosted by the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research. Since 2018, the French National Institute for Demographic Studies maintains the GGP Contextual Database. The database contains around 200 comparative indicators on topics closely linked to the GGP for around 60 countries. The Contextual Database before 2018, which is still available, holds data on: legal norms and regulations, social norms, measures of welfare state policies and institutions as well as general economic and cultural indicators. The indicators of the new database since 2018 are reduced to a set of 35 core indicators and it is compiled exclusively from international databases and is restricted to country level. Three main domains are covered: economics, gender and welfare and education.
