These purpose-built apps do not store, collect, or share any data other than the physical location (without tying context back to an actual human being and their mobile device).

    USE CASES

The main goal of POI data is to identify a place of interest, establish its accurate location, and help businesses understand the happenings around that place to make better, well-informed decisions. POI can be essential in assessing competition, improving operational efficiency, planning the expansion of your business, and more.

It can be used by businesses to power their apps and platforms for last-mile delivery, navigation, mapping, logistics, and more. Combined with mobility data, POI data can be employed by retail outlets to monitor traffic to one of their sites or of their competitors. Logistics businesses can save costs and improve customer experience with accurate address data. Real estate companies use POI data for site selection and project planning based on market potential. Governments can use POI data to enforce regulations, monitor public health and well-being, plan public infrastructure and services, and more. A few common and widespread use cases of POI data are:

    • Navigation and mapping for digital marketplaces and apps.

    Description

What exactly is data analytics and do you want to learn so Visit BookMyShiksha they provide the Best Data Analytics Course in Delhi, INDIA. Analytics can be defined as "the science of analysis." A more practical definition, however, would be how an entity, such as a business, arrives at an optimal or realistic decision based on available data. Business managers may choose to make decisions based on past experiences or rules of thumb, or there may be other qualitative aspects to decision-making. Still, it will not be an analytical decision-making process unless data is considered.

Analytics has been used in business since Frederick Winslow Taylor pioneered time management exercises in the late 1800s. Henry Ford revolutionized manufacturing by measuring the pacing of the assembly line. However, analytics gained popularity in the late 1960s, when computers were used in decision support systems. Analytics has evolved since then, with the development of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, data warehouses, and a wide range of other hardware and software tools and applications.

Analytics is now used by businesses of all sizes. For example, if you ask my fruit vendor why he stopped servicing our street, he will tell you that we try to bargain a lot, which causes him to lose money, but on the road next to mine, he has some great customers for whom he provides excellent service. This is the nucleus of analytics. Our fruit vendor TESTED servicing my street and realised he was losing money - within a month, he stopped servicing us and will not show up even if we ask him. How many companies today are aware of who their MOST PROFITABLE CUSTOMERS are? Do they know who their most profitable customers are? And, knowing which customers are the most profitable, how should you direct your efforts to acquire the MOST PROFITABLE customers?

Analytics is used to drive the overall organizational strategy in large corporations. Here are a few examples: • Capital One, a credit card company based in the United States, employs analytics to differentiate customers based on credit risk and to match customer characteristics with appropriate product offerings.

    • Harrah's Casino, another American company, discovered that, contrary to popular belief, their most profitable customers are those who play slots. They have developed a mamarketing program to attract and retain their MOST PROFITABLE CUSTOMERS in order to capitalise on this insight.

    • Netflicks, an online movie service, recommends the most logical movies based on past behavior. This model has increased their sales because the movie choices are based on the customers' preferences, and thus the experience is tailored to each individual.

Analytics is commonly used to study business data using statistical analysis to discover and understand historical patterns in order to predict and improve future business performance. In addition, some people use the term to refer to the application of mathematics in business. Others believe that the field of analytics includes the use of operations research, statistics, and probability; however, limiting the field of Best Big Data Analytics Services to statistics and mathematics would be incorrect.

While the concept is simple and intuitive, the widespread use of analytics to drive business is still in its infancy. Stay tuned for the second part of this article to learn more about the Science of Analytics.

    Description

The Data Quality Management (DQM) software market is experiencing robust growth, driven by the increasing volume and complexity of data across industries. The market's expansion is fueled by the urgent need for businesses to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness for improved decision-making, regulatory compliance, and enhanced customer experiences. Factors like the rising adoption of cloud-based solutions, the growing demand for real-time data processing, and the increasing focus on data governance initiatives are key market drivers. While the precise market size for 2025 is unavailable, considering a plausible CAGR of 15% (a conservative estimate given the industry's growth trajectory) and assuming a 2024 market size of $10 billion, the 2025 market size could be estimated around $11.5 billion. This growth is anticipated to continue through 2033, driven by ongoing digital transformation and the expanding adoption of advanced analytics. However, challenges remain, including the complexity of implementing DQM solutions, the scarcity of skilled professionals, and the high initial investment costs. These factors can act as restraints on market growth, particularly for smaller enterprises. The market is segmented by deployment (cloud, on-premise), organization size (SME, large enterprise), and industry vertical (BFSI, healthcare, retail, etc.). Key players like IBM, Informatica, Oracle, and SAP dominate the market, constantly innovating to offer comprehensive solutions that address the evolving needs of businesses. The competitive landscape is dynamic, with established players facing pressure from emerging niche players offering specialized DQM solutions. The market is also witnessing a shift towards AI-powered solutions, which automate data quality processes and improve efficiency. Furthermore, the increasing adoption of data mesh architectures is creating new opportunities for DQM vendors. To capitalize on this growth, vendors are focusing on developing solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing data ecosystems and offer superior user experiences. This trend towards user-friendly interfaces and enhanced analytical capabilities is expected to further accelerate market adoption. The overall outlook for the DQM software market remains positive, with continued growth projected in the coming years, driven by a confluence of factors ranging from regulatory pressures to enhanced business intelligence needs.

    Description

Abstract: How can we measure and explain the precision of international organizations’ (IOs) founding treaties? We define precision by its negative – imprecision – as indeterminate language that intentionally leaves a wide margin of interpretation for actors after agreements enter into force. Compiling a “dictionary of imprecision” from almost 500 scholarly contributions and leveraging insight from linguists that a single vague word renders the whole sentence vague, we introduce a dictionary-based measure of imprecision (DIMI) that is replicable, applicable to all written documents, and yields a continuous measure bound between zero and one. To demonstrate that DIMI usefully complements existing approaches and advances the study of (im-)precision, we apply it to a sample of 76 IOs. Our descriptive results show high face validity and closely track previous characterizations of these IOs. Finally, we explore patterns in the data, expecting that imprecision in IO treaties increases with the number of states, power asymmetries, and the delegation of authority, while it decreases with the pooling of authority. In a sample of major IOs, we find robust empirical support for the power asymmetries and delegation propositions. Overall, DIMI provides exciting new avenues to study precision in International Relations and beyond. Description

This data set is captured from a robot workcell that is performing activities representative of several manufacturing operations. The workcell contains two, 6-degree-of-freedom robot manipulators where one robot is performing material handling operations (e.g., transport parts into and out of a specific work space) while the other robot is performing a simulated precision operation (e.g., the robot touching the center of a part with a tool tip that leaves a mark on the part). This precision operation is intended to represent a precise manufacturing operation (e.g., welding, machining). The goal of this data set is to provide robot level and process level measurements of the workcell operating in nominal parameters. There are no known equipment or process degradations in the workcell. The material handling robot will perform pick and place operations, including moving simulated parts from an input area to in-process work fixtures. Once parts are placed in/on the work fixtures, the second robot will interact with the part in a specified precise manner. In this specific instance, the second robot has a pen mounted to its tool flange and is drawing the NIST logo on a surface of the part. When the precision operation is completed, the material handling robot will then move the completed part to an output. This suite of data includes process data and performance data, including timestamps. Timestamps are recorded at predefined state changes and events on the PLC and robot controllers, respectively. Each robot controller and the PLC have their own internal clocks and, due to hardware limitations, the timestamps recorded on each device are relative to their own internal clocks. All timestamp data collected on the PLC is available for real-time calculations and is recorded. The timestamps collected on the robots are only available as recorded data for post-processing and analysis. The timestamps collected on the PLC correspond to 14 part state changes throughout the processing of a part. Timestamps are recorded when PLC-monitored triggers are activated by internal processing (PLC trigger origin) or after the PLC receives an input from a robot controller (robot trigger origin). Records generated from PLC-originated triggers include parts entering the work cell, assignment of robot tasks, and parts leaving the work cell. PLC-originating triggers are activated by either internal algorithms or sensors which are monitored directly in the PLC Inputs/Outputs (I/O). Records generated from a robot-originated trigger include when a robot begins operating on a part, when the task operation is complete, and when the robot has physically cleared the fixture area and is ready for a new task assignment. Robot-originating triggers are activated by PLC I/O. Process data collected in the workcell are the variable pieces of process information. This includes the input location (single option in the initial configuration presented in this paper), the output location (single option in the initial configuration presented in this paper), the work fixture location, the part number counted from startup, and the part type (task number for drawing robot). Additional information on the context of the workcell operations and the captured data can be found in the attached files, which includes a README.txt, along with several noted publications. Disclaimer: Certain commercial entities, equipment, or materials may be identified or referenced in this data, or its supporting materials, in order to illustrate a point or concept. Such identification or reference is not intended to imply recommendation or endorsement by NIST; nor does it imply that the entities, materials, equipment or data are necessarily the best available for the purpose. Description

Accurate geo-referencing information is a basic requirement for combining remote satellite imagery with other geographic information. To detect changes in time-series satellite images, it is extremely important for the images to be precisely co-registered and orthorectified, so that images acquired from different sensors and dates can be compared directly. Precise registration relates satellite images to the ground reference based on carefully selected ground control points between the image and corresponding ground objects. Co-registration matches two images based on the tie points in the images. The topographical variations of the earth’s surface and the satellite view zenith angle affect the pixel’s distance projected onto the satellite image. The distortion inherent in the image is determined by topographical elevation. The orthorectification process is used to correct the pixel displacement caused by the topographical variations at the off-nadir viewing and to make the image orthographic, with every pixel in its correct _location regardless of elevation and viewing direction. The automated registration and orthorectification package (AROP) uses precisely registered and orthorectified Landsat data (e.g., GeoCover or recently released free Landsat Level 1T data from the USGS EROS data center) as the base image to co-register, orthorectify and reproject (if needs) the warp images from other data sources, and thus make geo-referenced time-series images consistent in the geographic extent, spatial resolution, and projection. The co-registration, orthorectification and reprojection processes were integrated and thus image is only resampled once. This package has been tested on the Landsat Multi-spectral Scanner (MSS), TM, Enhanced TM Plus (ETM+) and Operational Land Imager (OLI), Terra ASTER, CBERS CCD, IRS-P6 AWiFS, and Sentinel-2 Multispectral Instrument (MSI) data. The development of the AROP package was supported by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Landsat Science Team project and the NASA EOS project. The package was initially developed at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center by Dr. Feng Gao (from September 2005 to June 2011). Further improvement and continuous maintenance are now being undertaken in the Hydrology and Remote Sensing Laboratory, Agricultural Research Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) by Dr. Feng Gao. Description

The Terra Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) Level 1 Precision Terrain Corrected Registered At-Sensor Radiance (AST_L1T) Version 3.1 data contains calibrated at-sensor radiance, which corresponds with the ASTER Level 1B (AST_L1B), that has been geometrically corrected and rotated to a north-up UTM projection. The AST_L1T V3.1 is created from a single resampling of the corresponding ASTER Level 1A (AST_L1A) product. Radiometric calibration coefficients Version 5 (RCC V5) are applied to this product to improve the degradation curve derived from vicarious and lunar calibrations. The bands available in the AST_L1T V3.1 depend on the bands in the AST_L1A and can include up to three Visible and Near Infrared (VNIR) bands, six Shortwave Infrared (SWIR) bands, and five Thermal Infrared (TIR) bands. The AST_L1T V3.1 dataset does not include the aft-looking VNIR band 3. The AST_L1T product has a spatial resolution of 15 meters (m) for the VNIR bands, 30 m for the SWIR bands, and 90 m for the TIR bands. The 3.1 version uses a precision terrain correction process that incorporates GLS2000 digital elevation data with derived ground control points (GCPs) to achieve topographic accuracy for all daytime scenes where correlation statistics reach a minimum threshold. Alternate levels of correction are possible (systematic terrain, systematic, or precision) for scenes acquired at night or that otherwise represent a reduced quality ground image (e.g., cloud cover). For daytime images, if the VNIR or SWIR telescope collected data and precision correction was attempted, each precision terrain corrected image will have an accompanying independent quality assessment. It will include the geometric correction available for distribution in both a text file and a single band browse image with the valid GCPs overlaid. This multi-file product also includes georeferenced full resolution browse images. The number of browse images and the band combinations of the images depend on the bands available in the corresponding AST_L1A dataset. The AST_L1T V3.1 data product is only available through NASA's Earthdata Search. The ASTER L1T Earthdata Search Order Instructions provide step-by-step directions for ordering this product.Known Issues A modification has been incorporated within the processing of the AST_L1T data product for correcting zero-filled scans that appear in the processing of low-latitude, ascending orbit (night) thermal infrared (TIR) data acquisitions. This correction has been implemented for the historical archive of the ASTER L1T data product and for newly processed scenes as of October 1, 2017. Additional information can be found in the ASTER L1T User Advisory document. Users are advised that ASTER SWIR data acquired, from April 2008 to the present, exhibit anomalous saturation of values and anomalous striping. This effect is also present for some prior acquisition periods. Please refer to the ASTER SWIR User Advisory for more details. Since April 1, 2008, when the anomalies in the SWIR data rendered it unusable, the SWIR band data has not been included in the AST_L1T product. Data acquisition gaps: On November 28, 2024, one of Terra's power-transmitting shunt units failed. As a result, there was insufficient power to maintain functionality of the ASTER instrument. ASTER resumed acquisitions for the VNIR bands on January 18, 2025, and for the TIR bands on April 15, 2025. Users should note the data gap in ASTER acquisitions from November 28, 2024, through January 16, 2025, for VNIR observations, and a gap from November 28, 2024, through April 15, 2025, for TIR acquisitions.Improvements/Changes from Previous Version* Available via on-demand processing through NASA's Earthdata Search. * Utilizes new radiometric calibration coefficients. Details regarding RCC V5 are described in the following journal article. * Tsuchida, S., Yamamoto, H., Kouyama, T., Obata, K., Sakuma, F., Tachikawa, T., Kamei, A., Arai, K., Czapla-Myers, J.S., Biggar, S.F., and Thome, K.J., 2020, Radiometric Degradation Curves for the ASTER VNIR Processing Using Vicarious and Lunar Calibrations: Remote Sensing, v. 12, no. 3, at https://doi.org/10.3390/rs12030427.
