    Description

Smart packaging, an emerging technology in the food packaging industry incorporates both active and intelligent technologies. Consumer demand for natural products and increasingly extended and diverse supply chains required to feed the growing global population, mean that traditional packaging is becoming less capable of meeting the functional demands placed on it. To help ensure the commercial success of proposed smart packaging technologies a thorough understanding of consumers attitudes toward them is required. Understanding the cultural, social and cognitive factors that affect acceptance will help “fine tune” smart packaging development to best meet consumer preferences and needs and ensure that communication about the technologies effectively addresses consumer concerns and educates them on the benefits. This systematic review of 28 peer reviewed journal articles summarizes the current knowledge on consumer acceptance or rejection of active and intelligent packaging, and the behavioral forces behind those attitudes. Articles containing primary data and published in the English language over the last 10 years reporting consumer responses to active and/or intelligent packaging technologies in general or to more specific technologies that achieved the functional goals of active or intelligent packaging were obtained and analyzed for themes in the qualitative data analysis software NVivo. Themes were organized into groups as to whether they identified control variables, moderating variables, barriers or motivations to purchase and the benefits of the technology. To develop a conceptual framework for understanding consumer preferences for smart packaging, the identified themes were integrated with several consumer behavior models including the theory of planned behavior and an attitude model. Consumer perceptions of smart packaging is a poorly covered research area with most research being clustered in Europe and a smaller cluster in the Americas so there were significant opportunities to build on the body of knowledge.

    Description

Abstract Transformative Consumer Research (TCR) has emerged to fill the gaps and overcome fragmentation in the field of consumer research in the well-being domain. This movement gave rise to Transformative Service Research (TSR), which is aimed at identifying and evaluating the well-being effects arising from the services. The objective of this paper was to map the scientific production on TCR and TSR, based on a bibliometric analysis and a content analysis of a sample consisting of 114 studies available in the Scopus, SciELO and SPELL databases. Our study offers a map of the most productive journals and authors, the most impactful studies and an analysis of thematic categories and some network analyses. The results show a slight increase in the interest on the topic, which indicates the need for intensified research in the field, especially focused on areas of study such as economic vulnerability, obesity, alcohol and drug consumption, individuals with physical disabilities, environmental practices, and adoption of sustainable strategies, technology and social services. In the Brazilian context, we identified the need to disseminate the themes in the academic field, that is, postgraduate programs in marketing area, scientific journals and conferences. Finally, our study is considered a call for a change in the perspectives of researchers and journal reviewers in the field of consumer studies.

    Description

This document provides an overview of the characteristics of 49 empirical papers and 63 studies that were reviewed for "Virtual Reality Research in Marketing Focusing on Consumers”. This study used two distinct strategies to identify relevant research articles for inclusion in the analysis. Strategy A: Utilizing the SCImago Institutions Rankings as a reference, we targeted the top 50 ranked academic journals and extracted articles that incorporated "Virtual Reality" within their titles, abstracts, or keywords. Articles were obtained directly from the publisher of each journal. In cases where keyword search functionality was absent (e.g., Emerald), we limited the search to papers containing "Virtual Reality" in either their titles or abstracts. This approach resulted in the identification of 65 articles. Strategy B: Our search extended to various databases featured on the EBSCOhost platform, including "Academic Search Premier," "Business Source Premier," "Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection," "ERIC," "EconLit with Full Text," and "Teacher Reference Center." We focused on articles that pertained to both "Marketing" and "Virtual Reality," ensuring that they were peer-reviewed and available in full text. After removing duplicates identified in Strategy A, we extracted an additional 58 articles. In total, 123 articles were retrieved from both strategies. We meticulously reviewed the abstracts and keywords of each article to exclude those unrelated to Virtual Reality or not targeting consumers (e.g., articles on education, research, and development). Consequently, our final dataset included 51 articles (49 empirical papers, comprising 48 quantitative and 1 qualitative study, and 2 framework papers) for further examination.

Menopause Symptom Journal App Market Outlook

According to our latest research, the global menopause symptom journal app market size reached USD 267 million in 2024, reflecting robust demand for digital health solutions tailored to women’s health. The market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 12.6% from 2025 to 2033, reaching a forecasted value of USD 781 million by 2033. This significant growth is driven by increasing awareness of menopause management, the proliferation of mobile health technologies, and a growing emphasis on personalized healthcare experiences. As per our latest research, rising digital health adoption and the expanding role of self-care in women’s health are key factors fueling this market’s expansion.

The primary driver for the menopause symptom journal app market is the growing global population of women entering perimenopause and menopause, projected to reach over 1.2 billion women by 2030. This demographic shift is fueling demand for accessible, user-friendly tools that empower women to track and manage their symptoms. Digital health platforms offer a discreet, personalized, and interactive way to monitor symptoms such as hot flashes, sleep disturbances, and mood changes, which are often underreported in traditional healthcare settings. The stigma associated with menopause is gradually diminishing, encouraging more women to seek digital solutions for symptom management and to communicate more effectively with healthcare providers. Moreover, the integration of artificial intelligence and data analytics in these apps is enhancing the accuracy and usefulness of symptom tracking, further boosting market adoption.

Another significant growth factor is the increasing collaboration between digital health startups and established healthcare providers. Many menopause symptom journal apps are now being integrated into broader telehealth platforms, allowing seamless data sharing between patients and clinicians. This integration supports more informed clinical decision-making and enables personalized treatment plans based on real-time symptom data. The trend towards value-based healthcare is also pushing providers to adopt digital tools that enhance patient engagement and outcomes. Additionally, the proliferation of smartphones and improved internet connectivity, especially in emerging markets, is making these apps more accessible to a wider audience. The rise of wearable health devices and IoT integration is further expanding the functionality of menopause symptom journal apps, allowing for comprehensive tracking of physiological and behavioral data.

Furthermore, the menopause symptom journal app market is benefiting from increased investment in women’s health technology, or “femtech.” Venture capital funding for femtech startups has surged in recent years, reflecting recognition of the untapped potential in digital solutions for women’s health needs. Regulatory support for digital therapeutics and patient-centered care is also encouraging innovation and market entry. Consumer expectations for privacy, data security, and user-centric design are shaping the development of new apps, resulting in highly customizable and secure platforms. As a result, the market is witnessing a surge in both general wellness apps and specialized menopause-focused solutions, catering to diverse user preferences and needs. These factors collectively underpin the strong growth trajectory of the menopause symptom journal app market through the forecast period.

Regionally, North America continues to dominate the menopause symptom journal app market, accounting for over 38% of global revenue in 2024. This leadership is attributed to high digital health adoption rates, a mature healthcare infrastructure, and strong consumer awareness of menopause management. Europe follows closely, driven by proactive government initiatives and robust investment in health technology. The Asia Pacific region is emerging as a high-growth market, propelled by rising smartphone penetration, increasing healthcare expenditure, and growing acceptance of digital health solutions among women. Latin America and the Middle East & Africa are experiencing steady growth, albeit from a smaller base, as cultural attitudes toward menopause evolve and access to mobile health technologies improves. Each region presents unique opportunities and challenges, shaping the competitive landscape and innovation trajectory in the global menopause symptom journal app market.

    Publishing Paper Market Outlook

The global publishing paper market size was valued at approximately USD 102.4 billion in 2023 and is projected to reach USD 128.7 billion by 2032, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.5% during the forecast period. This growth is primarily driven by the increasing demand for educational materials, the continued expansion of digital distribution channels, and the enduring value placed on printed content in various sectors. The publishing industry, while facing challenges from digital media, continues to find growth opportunities in niche segments and emerging markets. This ensures that paper remains an essential medium for knowledge dissemination and entertainment, balancing tradition with innovation.

One major growth factor for the publishing paper market is the significant demand from educational institutions. As global literacy rates improve and governments invest more in education, the need for textbooks and academic materials is on the rise. Educational institutions remain one of the largest consumers of printed paper, leveraging physical textbooks to complement digital learning platforms. Moreover, the cultural importance of printed books in many societies ensures that they remain a preferred medium for educational content, further boosting demand. The emphasis on comprehensive education systems in developing countries is expected to contribute significantly to market growth, propelling the demand for academic journals and textbooks.

Another important growth factor is the resilience of trade journals and magazines. Despite the rise of digital content, there is a persistent demand for specialized publications that offer in-depth analysis and insights across various industries. Trade journals serve as crucial sources of information for professionals, providing them with the latest industry trends, research, and developments. Similarly, magazines continue to attract a dedicated readership due to their curated content and high-quality design. This segment’s ability to adapt to changing consumer preferences, by integrating digital presence with print, has ensured its sustainability and growth within the publishing paper market.

The diversification of distribution channels also plays a pivotal role in market growth. The integration of online and offline channels allows publishers to reach a wider audience, catering to diverse consumer preferences. While online distribution offers convenience and instant access to a global audience, offline channels retain their charm through tactile engagement. Bookstores, newsstands, and direct subscription models continue to thrive by offering personalized experiences. This hybrid distribution strategy not only maximizes reach but also optimizes revenue streams, ensuring that publishers can navigate the changing landscape effectively.

Regionally, North America remains a significant player in the publishing paper market, driven by a well-established publishing industry and a strong preference for printed literature. However, the Asia Pacific region is anticipated to exhibit the highest growth rate during the forecast period. Rapid urbanization, increasing literacy rates, and expanding educational sectors are key contributors to this growth. As countries like China, India, and Japan invest heavily in educational infrastructure, the demand for publishing paper is expected to surge. Furthermore, the cultural value placed on printed materials in these regions will continue to fuel market demand, making Asia Pacific a focal point for future growth.

    Product Type Analysis

The publishing paper market is segmented into various product types, including academic journals, trade journals, magazines, newspapers, and others. Rachmad, Yoesoep Edhie. 2023. Brand Awareness and Loyalty Theory. Sunshine Coast Beach Book Publishing, Special Edition 2023. https://doi.org/10.17605/osf.io/7syq8

The Brand Awareness and Loyalty Theory, developed by Yoesoep Edhie Rachmad and published in his 2023 book "Sunshine Coast Beach Book Publishing, Special Edition," examines the interconnected dynamics between brand awareness and consumer loyalty, highlighting strategies for enhancing both to achieve long-term business success. Initiated in 2016, Rachmad’s research investigates the processes through which a brand can not only capture but also retain consumer attention in a saturated market. This theory was formulated against the backdrop of the digital marketing revolution, where consumers are inundated with choices and messages. Rachmad identifies that while brand awareness is the initial step towards attracting consumer interest, it is the cultivation of deep loyalty that ensures sustainable business growth. The Brand Awareness and Loyalty Theory posits that effective brand management must seamlessly integrate strategies for enhancing both awareness and loyalty. Brand awareness is the degree to which consumers are familiar with the qualities or image of a particular brand's goods or services. It serves as the foundation for developing brand loyalty, which refers to a consumer's consistent preference for one brand over all others, often reflected in repeated purchases and positive word-of-mouth. Rachmad concludes that the key to converting awareness into loyalty involves consistent and meaningful engagement with consumers. He stresses the importance of maintaining a strong, recognizable brand identity across all marketing channels and creating value that resonates with the target audience beyond the product or service itself. He suggests implementing personalized marketing strategies that address individual consumer needs and preferences, thereby deepening the emotional connection with the brand. Moreover, Rachmad emphasizes the role of customer service and quality assurance in reinforcing brand loyalty; consumers are more likely to remain loyal to a brand that consistently delivers high-quality experiences and resolves issues effectively. The theory also advises ongoing evaluation and adaptation of marketing strategies based on consumer feedback and market trends. This adaptability ensures that the brand remains relevant and continues to meet the evolving needs of its consumer base. Overall, the Brand Awareness and Loyalty Theory provides a comprehensive framework for businesses aiming to thrive in competitive environments. It highlights the necessity of not just attracting consumers through awareness but more importantly, retaining them through strategic loyalty-building initiatives. This approach ensures that brands not only survive but prosper by fostering lasting relationships with their customers.   Table of Contents Rachmad, Yoesoep Edhie. 2023. Description
