Schaal and is intended solely as an indicator of wetland sites for which field review should be conducted. The satellite data reflect conditions during the specific year and season the data was acquired and all wetlands may not be indicated. Statistics generated from the inventory are intended solely as an approximation.

The Ohio Wetlands Inventory for Adams County was produced from April 1986 Landsat Thematic mapper data (cell size 30 meters by 30 meters) using ERDAS Image processing software. The raster data has been converted to ARC/INFO format and exported to an interchange file.

The data was originally georeferenced to UTM zone 17 coordinates NAD 27 and is also available in this coordinate system in ERDAS Imagine format.

The class of woods on hydric soils, wet meadow and farmed wetland fall on hydric soils when digital soils data is available for the county.

This data release for the reconnaissance geologic map of the Hells Canyon Study Area, Wallowa County, Oregon, and Idaho and Adams Counties, Idaho, is a Geologic Map Schema (GeMS, 2020)-compliant version of the geologic map published in U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Scientific Investigations Report Map SIR 2007-5046 (Simmons, et al, 2007). The database represents the geology for the 625,177-acre (2,530 square kilometers), geologically complex Hells Canyon Study Area in two plates, at a publication scale of 1:48,000. The study area includes (1) the Hells Canyon Wilderness; (2) parts of the Snake River, Rapid River, and West Fork Rapid River Wild and Scenic Rivers; (3) lands included in the second Roadless Area Review and Evaluation (RARE II); and (4) part of the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area. Data was created based on these projects:West Adams Densification published April 1996. This GPS project was performed by John E Chance & Associates Inc. for Adams County Urban Drainage & Flood Control District and Metro Wastewater Reclamation District. Field observations were made in 1995 with the Final Report published in January 1996. The horizontal accuracy was 1:500;000 and the vertical accuracy was Third Order (NGS).The 1999 Adams County GIS Survey of Section Corners was completed by locating the Aliquot Corners (Section corners) within the westerly 1/3 of Adams County utilizing GPS Real Time Kinematic (RTK) survey techniques as part of the East Adams Densification published in November 1999. East Adams Densification horizontal accuracy was 1:500;000 and the vertical accuracy was Third Order (NGS).The horizontal coordinates are in North American Datum(NAD) 1983 (1992). The orthometric (vertical) values are in North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) 1988.

The feature is derived from coordinates obtained from the Division of Oil and Gas Resources Management (DOGRM) oil and gas well database – Risk Based Data Management System (RBDMS). The RBDMS database has a long history and is a comprehensive collection of well data from historic pre-1980 paper well records (digitized by the Division of Geological Survey (DGS)) to post-1980 DOGRM database solutions.Since 1860, it is estimated that more than 267,000 oil-and-gas wells have been drilled in Ohio. The compressed file also includes a feature used to connect the surface location to the bottom location of a well that has been drilled directionally or horizontally.
