    Description

    Use the Geospatial Ontario Imagery Orders App to select and request uncompressed or compressed digital imagery tiles from Geospatial Ontario for transfer directly to you.

    This colour aerial photography was flown using a Zeiss Jena LMK15 aerial camera equipped with a 6" (152mm) focal length lens mounted in a Piper Aztec F aircraft. It was captured on September 15, 28, and 29, 1995. The altitude of the aircraft, 15,000 feet above mean ground, provided photography at a nominal scale of 1:30000. Originally captured on film, the imagery was converted digitally and orthorectified. The final product has the same accuracy as a 1:20000 map.

    Available Products Orthorectified Tiles - approx. 5km x 2.8km, 100cm resolution, 8-bit, RGB in .TIFF format (40MB/tile) and a compressed format (approx. 1MB/tile)

    This data is only available to ministries of the Ontario Public Service (OPS) and their agencies, boards and commissions. By obtaining the imagery data described in this record, you accept the terms outlined in the Memorandum of Restricted Imagery Use.For more information and to order imagery products please refer to the Imagery Order Form.

    The 6" focal length aerial photography was flown in late April 1999 at an altitude of 10,000 feet above mean ground producing aerial photography at a nominal scale of 1:20000. The film was later converted to digital and orthorectified to an accuracy of less than 2m on the ground.

    The aerial imagery from which the orthophotography was derived, was collected during the spring of 2002. The imagery features 20 cm resolution for Niagara, Hamilton, Halton, Peel, York, Toronto and Durham, 30 cm resolution for Simcoe, and 50cm resolution for Peterborough and Northumberland.

    Time of Capture: Spring 2002 Coverage: Approximately 26,000 sq km Canopy Coverage: Leaf-Off

    Available Products Orthorectified Tiles - 1km x 2km, 20cm to 50cm resolution, 8-bit, RGB in .TIFF format (approx. 11MB to 72MB/tile) and a compressed format (approx. 0.2MB to 1.45MB/tile)

    Greater Toronto Area (GTA) Orthophotography 1995 consists of 5km x 2.8 km tiles of orthorectified colour imagery for the Greater Toronto Area, 100cm resolution, covering an area of 6,289 sq. km.

    This colour aerial photography was captured on September 15, 28, and 29, 1995, using a Zeiss Jena LMK15 aerial camera equipped with a (152mm) focal length lens mounted in a Piper Aztec F aircraft.
