The Town converted its existing analog tax maps to digital format in 1998. At the time of conversion, tax maps consisted of 108 27"x39" mylar sheets at 1"=100', originally created in 1957 from controlled and rectified photography taken by Air Survey Inc. (VA) in 1956. The tax maps were scanned, and digital line files were created with text annotation. The new line files were then overlayed onto digital color orthophotos produced in 1999, and updated, by first matching road right-of-ways, then adjusting all parcel boundaries. This data set is a spatial view that is created through a one-to-many join between TOA_Parcels_Poly and TOA_CAMA_TABLE. The join is through Map & Lot, which creates stacked parcel polygons in cases where there are multiple block numbers (accounts) for one parcel; this occurs primarily with condominium complexes, as well as with properties with agricultural preservation restrictions. This data set is refreshed on a nightly basis & reflects current information from the Town of Amherst Assessor's Vision Appraisal Database.

This data is also available for download in shapefile and CAD formats. The Town of Amherst, MA basemap project encompasses the land area of Town of Amherst and University of Massachusetts Campus with a 200 foot fringe surrounding the area. The entire project area has been sub-divided into 5 blocks, viz. Amherst/UMass, Area A (primarily Leverett), Area-B (Shutesbury/Pelham/Belchertown), Area-C (Hadley) and Area D (UMass-owned land at Deerfield). Basemap data was collected at 1" = 40' mapping scale for Amherst (31.1 sq. miles) and Area-D (1.3 sq. miles) using digital photogrammetric techniques. LiDAR data was collected for the entire project area except Area-D to develop 1ft contour data. LiDAR data was supplemented with photogrammetrically collected breaklines, hydro and other terrain features over the Amherst block to generate 1ft contours. For rest of the area the bare earth classified LiDAR data was supplemented with hydro enforced breaklines to generate the 1ft contour data.

This public feature service is maintained for the Nashua Regional Planning Commission's (NRPC) member municipalities, their stakeholders, and the wider GIS community. The service contains the most frequently-requested, general-purpose GIS basemap datasets that are originated and maintained by NRPC. The service can be used by any software that can ingest an ESRI rest endpoint, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online.Edits to these datasets are made in NRPC's on-premise GIS database on an ongoing basis; online published data are refreshed weekly through an automatic script. This hosted feature view containing data specific to Amherst, NH is a derivative of NRPC Open Data - All Communities feature service which is regional in nature; i.e., the geographic coverage includes the entire NRPC region. For convenience, NRPC has published community-specific hosted feature views for each of its 13-member communities. Non-GIS users are invited to browse the data in MapGeo, NRPC's interactive parcel viewer. "The Virginia Geographic Information Network (VGIN) acquired the Virginia Base Mapping Program (VBMP) aerial photography through funding provided by the E911 Services Board. The photography was captured in the spring 00 (during the leaf-off season). This is a statewide product. The aerial photography was initially captured at 1- or -foot resolution (contingent on local population density) in true color. In addition, some localities opted up for a 6-inch-resolution product. The data set provided on the DVD is a 1-meter resampled product. It is available in Virginia Lambert Conformal Conic (a customized projection developed by VDOT; see projection information in Appendix A). Note that areas associated with military bases and other points of national interest have been resampled at 5-meter resolution. The imagery is stored in tiles that measure ~3 miles on each side. Additional information on the VBMP aerial photography program and other VBMP data products available in www.vgin.virginia. gov/VBMP/VBMPHandbook_r2.pdfFor more information on this data refer to the supplemental metadata pdf found at: https://secure-archive.gis.vt.edu/gisdata/public/UnitedStates/Virginia/VCE_2002_metadata/METADATA.pdf "

"The digital topographic map is a United States Geological Survey (USGS) product. The original topographic maps for each county have been scanned and rectified (assigned coordinate information). The collars (the white margins along the sides of the map) have been removed. In addition, all topographic maps for a given county have been tiled together to provide seamless topographic coverage for each locality. The source scale of this product is 1: 4,000. It is available as a Mr. Sid (proprietary format that is “readable” by ArcGIS).For more information on this data refer to the supplemental metadata pdf found at: https://secure-archive.gis.vt.edu/gisdata/public/UnitedStates/Virginia/VCE_2002_metadata/METADATA.pdfThis data has been curated by the Virginia Cooperative Extension at Virginia Tech and Virginia Tech University Libraries.
