The dataset includes data on the density and species composition of birds during the breeding season at the permanent sample plots (the areas for bird census). Surveys were conducted from 1984 to 2018 with survey season between May and middle of July. The permanent sample plots are located in typical forest habitats of the strict nature reserve (category IUCN Ia): pine forest, oakwood, spruce forest, and mixed forest. During surveys 52 species of birds were recorded in total.

    Description

Reserve appreciation, also called reserve growth, is the increase in the estimated ultimate recovery (the sum of year end reserves and cumulative production) from fields subsequent to discovery from extensions, infield drilling, improved recovery of in-place resources, new pools, and intrapool completions. In recent years, reserve appreciation has become a major component of total U.S. annual natural gas reserve additions. Over the past 15 years, reserve appreciation has accounted for more than 80 percent of all annual natural gas reserve additions in the U.S. lower 48 states (Figure 1). The rise of natural gas reserve appreciation basically came with the judgment that reservoirs were much more geologically complex than generally thought, and they hold substantial quantities of natural gas in conventionally movable states that are not recovered by typical well spacing and vertical completion practices. Considerable evidence indicates that many reservoirs show significant geological variations and compartmentalization, and that uniform spacing, unless very dense, does not efficiently tap and drain a sizable volume of the reservoir (Figure 2). Further, by adding reserves within existing infrastructure and commonly by inexpensive recompletion technology in existing wells, reserve appreciation has become the dominant factor in ample, low-cost natural gas supply. Although there is a wide range in natural gas reserve appreciation potential by play and that potential is a function of drilling and technology applied, current natural gas reserve appreciation studies are gross, averaging wide ranges, disaggregated by broad natural gas provinces, and calculated mainly as a function of time. A much more detailed analysis of natural gas reserve appreciation aimed at assessing long-term sustainability, technological amenability, and economic factors, however, is necessary. The key to such analysis is a disaggregation to the play level. Plays are the geologically homogeneous subdivision of the universe of hydrocarbon pools within a basin. Typically, fields within a play share common hydrocarbon type, reservoir genesis, trapping mechanism, and source. Plays provide the comprehensive reference needed to more efficiently develop reservoirs, to extend field limits, and to better assess opportunities for intrafield exploration and development in mature natural gas provinces. Play disaggregation reveals current production trends and highlights areas for further exploration by identifying and emphasizing areas for potential reserve appreciation.

    Description

The FR 2644 is a balance sheet report that is collected as of each Wednesday from an authorized stratified sample of 875 domestically chartered commercial banks and U.S. branches and agencies of foreign banks. The FR 2644 is the only source of high-frequency data used in the analysis of current banking developments. The FR 2644 collects sample data that are used to estimate universe levels for the entire commercial banking sector in conjunction with data from the quarterly commercial bank Consolidated Reports of Condition and Income (FFIEC 031, FFIEC 041, and FFIEC 051; OMB No. 7100-0036) and the Report of Assets and Liabilities of U.S. Branches and Agencies of Foreign Banks (FFIEC 002; OMB No. 7100-0032) (Call Reports). Data from the FR 2644 and the Call Reports are utilized in construction of weekly estimates of U.S. bank credit, balance sheet data for the U.S. commercial banking sector, and sources and uses of banks' funds, and to analyze current banking developments, including the monitoring of broad credit and funding conditions. The Board publishes the data in aggregate form in the weekly H.8 statistical release, Assets and Liabilities of Commercial Banks in the United States, which is followed closely by other government agencies, the banking industry, financial press, and other users. The H.8 release provides a balance sheet for the commercial banking industry as a whole as well as disaggregated data for three bank groups: large domestically chartered banks, small domestically chartered banks, and U.S. branches and agencies of foreign banks.

Mineral production in South Australia in 1948 reached an all time record value of approximately £4,000,000 and was largely due to the increased output of non-metallic minerals which enter into every phase of our industrial life. Excluding fuels, these include limestone, salt, gypsum, silica sand, building stone, road metal, clays, etc. and the fact that the State is well endowed with ample reserves of them readily available at low cost means that she is able to maintain and encourage the growth of manufacturing industry. Few South Australians realise that, without these resources, the recent change in our economy from one based almost exclusively on agriculture and export of raw materials to one incorporating a well integrated manufacturing industry, could scarcely have taken place. For instance, the key position occupied by industrial minerals is well illustrated by the I.C.I. alkali plant at Osborne, in which the two principal raw materials are limestone and salt. The chief products, soda ash and caustic soda, are essential ingredients of window glass, soap for the housewife, paper, rayon and many other industrial substances. It is important to realise that the industrial mineral industry in Australia is on the threshold of a rapid expansion and, as South Australia possesses the more important ones in abundance, she has much to gain by pursuing a vigorous programme of development at this critical stage. Brief reference may be made to the more important minerals and their uses in some of the main branches of industry.

The H.8 release provides an estimated weekly aggregate balance sheet for all commercial banks in the United States. The release also includes separate balance sheet aggregations for several bank groups: domestically chartered commercial banks; large domestically chartered commercial banks; small domestically chartered commercial banks; and foreign-related institutions in the United States. Foreign-related institutions include U.S. branches and agencies of foreign banks as well as Edge Act and agreement corporations. Published weekly, the release is typically available to the public by 4:15 p.m. each Friday. If Friday is a federal holiday, then the data are released on Thursday. The H.8 release is primarily based on data that are reported weekly by a sample of approximately 875 domestically chartered banks and foreign-related institutions. As of December 2009, U.S. branches and agencies of foreign banks accounted for about 60 of the weekly reporters and domestically chartered banks made up the rest of the sample. Data for domestically chartered commercial banks and foreign-related institutions that do not report weekly are estimated at a weekly frequency based on quarterly Call Report data.
