    In 2023, the state of Morelos occupied the third place among Mexican federal entities with the largest number of kidnapping cases, counting a total of 29 occurrences. It was only behind State of Mexico and Michoacan, with 69 and 48 kidnappings respectively. The only two federal entities that recorded 0 kidnappings were Durango and Yucatán.
