In 2010, 28.3 percent of students in the graduating class nationwide took an Advanced Placement Exam.The Advanced Placement (AP) program is a curriculum in the United States and Canada sponsored by the College Board which offers standardized courses to high school students that are generally recognized to be equivalent to undergraduate courses in college. Participating colleges grant credit to students who obtained high enough scores on the exams to qualify.

Key statistics produced from CRDC 2017-18 can provide information about critical civil rights issues as well as contextual information on the state of civil rights in the nation, including enrollment demographics, advanced placement, school discipline, and special education services.
