    Description

    Multispectral Landsat 8 OLI Image Service covering the landmass of the World. This service includes 8-band multispectral scenes, at 30 meter resolution. It can be used for mapping and change detection of agriculture, soils, vegetation health, water-land features and boundary studies. Using on-the-fly processing, the raw DN values are transformed to scaled (5000 - 55000) apparent reflectance values and then different service based renderings for band combinations and indices are applied. The service is updated on a daily basis to include the latest best scenes from the USGS.

    This map contains a number of world-wide dynamic image services providing access to various Landsat scenes covering the landmass of the World for visual interpretation. Landsat 8 collects new scenes for each location on Earth every 16 days, assuming limited cloud coverage. Newest and near cloud-free scenes are displayed by default on top. Most scenes collected since 1st January 2015 are included. The service also includes scenes from the Global Land Survey* (circa 2010, 2005, 2000, 1990, 1975).The service contains a range of different predefined renderers for Multispectral, Panchromatic as well as Pansharpened scenes. The layers in the service can be time-enabled so that the applications can restrict the displayed scenes to a specific date range. This ArcGIS Server dynamic service can be used in Web Maps and ArcGIS Desktop, Web and Mobile applications using the REST based image services API. Users can also export images, but the exported area is limited to maximum of 2,000 columns x 2,000 rows per request.Data Source: The imagery in these services is sourced from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).     Description

    This dataset, produced by Impact Observatory, Microsoft, and Esri, displays a global map of land use and land cover (LULC) derived from ESA Sentinel-2 imagery at 10 meter resolution for the years 2017 - 2023. Each map is a composite of LULC predictions for 9 classes throughout the year in order to generate a representative snapshot of each year. This dataset was generated by Impact Observatory, which used billions of human-labeled pixels (curated by the National Geographic Society) to train a deep learning model for land classification. Each global map was produced by applying this model to the Sentinel-2 annual scene collections from the Mircosoft Planetary Computer. Each of the maps has an assessed average accuracy of over 75%. These maps have been improved from Impact Observatory’s previous release and provide a relative reduction in the amount of anomalous change between classes, particularly between “Bare” and any of the vegetative classes “Trees,” “Crops,” “Flooded Vegetation,” and “Rangeland”. This updated time series of annual global maps is also re-aligned to match the ESA UTM tiling grid for Sentinel-2 imagery. Data can be accessed directly from the Registry of Open Data on AWS, from the STAC 1.0.0 endpoint, or from the IO Store for a specific Area of Interest (AOI).

    This layer includes Landsat GLS, Landsat 8, and Landsat 9 imagery for use in visualization and analysis. This layer is time enabled and includes a number band combinations and indices rendered on demand.     This is a 13-band multispectral image service application that's part of the Living Atlas of the World on ArcGIS Online. It's also multi-temporal with a 5 day revisit time and includes the last 14 months of available imagery. It's updated daily with the latest imagery. The source imagery is hosted on AWS S3 in Franfurt. Anyone with an ArcGIS subscription has access to the service and does not use credits.

These COG formatted files support the dynamic imagery services available from the GIO ESRI-based imagery solution. The Open Data on AWS is a repository of publicly available datasets for access from AWS resources. These datasets are owned and maintained by the Indiana GIO. These images are licensed by Creative Commons 0 (CC0). Cloud Optimized GeoTIF behaves as a GeoTIFF in all products; however, the optimization becomes apparent when incorporating them into web services.

    Landsat 8 OLI, 30m multispectral and multitemporal 8-band imagery, rendered on-the-fly as Bathymetric with DRA. Time-enabled for visualization and analytics, this imagery layer pulls directly from the Landsat on AWS collection and is updated daily with new imagery.

    • This layer is updated daily with new imagery.
    • Landsat 8 imagery is collected for each point on Earth every 16 days.
    • Most images collected from January 2015 to present are included.
    • Approximately 5 images for each path/row from 2013 and 2014 are also included.

    Analysis Ready

    • This imagery layer is analysis ready with Top of Atmosphere (TOA) correction applied.
    • The TOA reflectance values (ranging 0 – 1 by default) are scaled using a range of 0 – 10,000.
    • The scale is equivalent to other TOA reflectance products, including those provided by the USGS.

    Image Selection/Filtering

    • The three most recent and cloud free images for any area are available by default.
    • The entire archive is accessible via custom filtering.
    • A number of fields are available for filtering, including Acquisition Date, Estimated Cloud Cover, and Product ID.

Description

Multispectral Landsat 8 OLI Image Service covering the landmass of the World. This service includes 8-band multispectral scenes, at 30 meter resolution. It can be used for mapping and change detection of agriculture, soils, vegetation health, water-land features and boundary studies. Using on-the-fly processing, the raw DN values are transformed to scaled (5000 - 55000) apparent reflectance values and then different service based renderings for band combinations and indices are applied. The service is updated on a daily basis to include the latest best scenes from the USGS.
