    Description

The Digital Geologic-GIS Map of Grant's Headquarters at City Point, Petersburg National Battlefield, Virginia is composed of GIS data layers and GIS tables, and is available in the following GRI-supported GIS data formats: 1.) a 10.1 file geodatabase (cipo_geology.gdb), a 2.) Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) geopackage, and 3.) 2.2 KMZ/KML file for use in Google Earth, however, this format version of the map is limited in data layers presented and in access to GRI ancillary table information. The file geodatabase format is supported with a 1.) ArcGIS Pro map file (.mapx) file (cipo_geology.mapx) and individual Pro layer (.lyrx) files (for each GIS data layer), as well as with a 2.) 10.1 ArcMap (.mxd) map document (cipo_geology.mxd) and individual 10.1 layer (.lyr) files (for each GIS data layer). The OGC geopackage is supported with a QGIS project (.qgz) file. Upon request, the GIS data is also available in ESRI 10.1 shapefile format. Contact Stephanie O'Meara (see contact information below) to acquire the GIS data in these GIS data formats. In addition to the GIS data and supporting GIS files, three additional files comprise a GRI digital geologic-GIS dataset or map: 1.) A GIS readme file (pete_geology_gis_readme.pdf), 2.) the GRI ancillary map information document (.pdf) file (pete_geology.pdf) which contains geologic unit descriptions, as well as other ancillary map information and graphics from the source map(s) used by the GRI in the production of the GRI digital geologic-GIS data for the park, and 3.) a user-friendly FAQ PDF version of the metadata (cipo_geology_metadata_faq.pdf). Please read the pete_geology_gis_readme.pdf for information pertaining to the proper extraction of the GIS data and other map files. Google Earth software is available for free at: https://www.google.com/earth/versions/. QGIS software is available for free at: https://www.qgis.org/en/site/. Users are encouraged to only use the Google Earth data for basic visualization, and to use the GIS data for any type of data analysis or investigation. The data were completed as a component of the Geologic Resources Inventory (GRI) program, a National Park Service (NPS) Inventory and Monitoring (I&M) Division funded program that is administered by the NPS Geologic Resources Division (GRD). For a complete listing of GRI products visit the GRI publications webpage: For a complete listing of GRI products visit the GRI publications webpage: https://www.nps.gov/subjects/geology/geologic-resources-inventory-products.htm. For more information about the Geologic Resources Inventory Program visit the GRI webpage: https://www.nps.gov/subjects/geology/gri,htm. At the bottom of that webpage is a "Contact Us" link if you need additional information. You may also directly contact the program coordinator, Jason Kenworthy (jason_kenworthy@nps.gov). Source geologic maps and data used to complete this GRI digital dataset were provided by the following: U.S. Geological Survey. Detailed information concerning the sources used and their contribution the GRI product are listed in the Source Citation section(s) of this metadata record (cipo_geology_metadata.txt or cipo_geology_metadata_faq.pdf). Users of this data are cautioned about the locational accuracy of features within this dataset. Based on the source map scale of 1:24,000 and United States National Map Accuracy Standards features are within (horizontally) 12.2 meters or 40 feet of their actual location as presented by this dataset. Users of this data should thus not assume the location of features is exactly where they are portrayed in Google Earth, ArcGIS, QGIS or other software used to display this dataset. All GIS and ancillary tables were produced as per the NPS GRI Geology-GIS Geodatabase Data Model v. 2.3. (available at: https://www.nps.gov/articles/gri-geodatabase-model.htm).

Statewide Download (FGDB) (SHP)Users can also download smaller geographic areas of this feature service in ArcGIS Pro using the Copy Features geoprocessing tool. The address service contains statewide address points and related landmark name alias table and street name alias table. The New Jersey Office of Information Technology, Office of GIS (NJOGIS), in partnership with several local GIS and public safety agencies, has built a comprehensive statewide NG9-1-1 database meeting and exceeding the requirements of the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) 2018 NG9-1-1 GIS Data Standard (NENA-STA-006.1-2018). The existing New Jersey Statewide Address Point data last published in 2016 has been transformed in the NENA data model to create this new address point data. The initial address points were processed from statewide parcel records joined with the statewide Tax Assessor's (MOD-IV) database in 2015. Address points supplied by Monmouth County, Sussex County, Morris County and Montgomery Township in Somerset County were incorporated into the statewide address points using customized Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) procedures. The previous version of the address points was loaded into New Jersey's version of the NENA NG9-1-1 data model using Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) procedures created with Esri's Data Interoperability Extension. Subsequent manual and bulk processing corrections and additions have been made, and are ongoing.***NOTE*** For users who incorporate NJOGIS services into web maps and/or web applications, please sign up for the NJ Geospatial Forum discussion listserv for early notification of service changes. This resource links to the Texas Address and Base Layers Story Map (Esri ArcGIS Online web app) [1] that provides a graphical overview and set of interactive maps to download Texas statewide address points, as well as contextual map layers including roads, rail, bridges, rivers, dams, low water crossings, stream gauges, and others. The addresses were compiled over the period from June 2016 to December 2017 by the Center for Water and the Environment (CWE) at the University of Texas at Austin, with guidance and funding from the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM). These addresses are used by TDEM to help anticipate potential impacts of serious weather and flooding events statewide.

For detailed compilation notes, see [2]. Contextual map layers will be found at [3] and [4].

November 2023 update: in 2019, TNRIS took over maintenance of the Texas Address Database, which is now updated annually as part of the StratMap program [5]. Also, TNRIS changed its name this year to the Texas Geographic Information Office (TxGIO). The StratMap and DataHub download sites still use the tnris.org domain but that may change .

These addresses reside and are maintained in the Fairfax Master Address Repository (MAR) which is housed in the enterprise GIS database. This data contains not only the address, including street name, unit numbers for condominiums, city, state, and zip, but also several other related attributes such as jurisdiction and subdivision name that the address resides. This layer is updated daily from the data maintained in the MAR layer and related tables. Updates to this data occur when address data is recorded or approved and authorized by Land Development Service, Facilitation and Address Center (LDS-FAC).Important information about unit numbers. This data is based on ownership and address site location. Therefore, addresses for apartment buildings will just have the primary building address. They will not include the unit numbers as there is no requirement for submission of unit numbers for apartment buildings in the county. Addresses for condominiums will have the primary address as well as the unit number as these are recorded with the Act of Condominium documents and each unit has separate ownership.Contact: Fairfax County Department of Information Technology GIS DivisionData Accessibility: Publicly AvailableUpdate Frequency: DailyLast Revision Date: 4/15/2023Creation Date: 3/1/2004Layer Name: GISMGR.ADDRESSES

National Address DatabaseThis National Geospatial Data Asset (NGDA) dataset, shared as a U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) feature layer, displays address data in the United States. Per USDOT, "The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) and its partners from all levels of government recognize the need for a National Address Database (NAD). Accurate and up-to-date addresses are critical to transportation safety and are a vital part of Next Generation 9-1-1. They are also essential for a broad range of government services, including mail delivery, permitting, and school siting. To meet this need, USDOT partners with address programs from state, local, and tribal governments to compile their authoritative data into the NAD."District of Columbia (DC) Residential AddressesData currency: Current federal service (Address Points from National Address Database)NGDAID: 196 (National Address Database (NAD))For more information: Getting to know the National Address Database (NAD); National Address DatabaseFor feedback, please contact: Esri_US_Federal_Data@esri.com NGDA Data SetThis data set is part of the NGDA Transportation Theme Community.
