    DESCRIPTION OF ORIGINAL PARCELS DATASET HOSTED BY NJ OGIS: The statewide composite of parcels (cadastral) data for New Jersey is made available here in Web Mercator projection (3857.) It was developed during the Parcels Normalization Project in 2008-2014 by the NJ Office of Information Technology, Office of GIS (NJOGIS). The normalized parcels data are compatible with the New Jersey Department of Treasury MOD-IV system currently used by Tax Assessors and selected attributes from that system have been joined with the parcels in this dataset. Please see the NJGIN parcel dataset page for additional resources, including a downloadable zip file of the statewide data: https://njgin.nj.gov/njgin/edata/parcels/index.html#!/This composite of parcels data serves as one of New Jersey's framework GIS data sets. Stewardship and maintenance of the data will continue to be the purview of county and municipal governments, but the statewide composite will be maintained by NJOGIS.Parcel attributes were normalized to a standard structure, specified in the NJ GIS Parcel Mapping Standard, to store parcel information and provide a PIN (parcel identification number) field that can be used to match records with suitably-processed property tax data. The standard is available for viewing and download at https://njgin.state.nj.us/oit/gis/NJ_NJGINExplorer/docs/NJGIS_ParcelMappingStandardv3.2.pdf. The PIN also can be constructed from attributes available in the MOD-IV Tax List Search table (see below).This dataset includes a large number of additional attributes from matched MOD-IV records; however, not all MOD-IV records match to a parcel, for reasons explained elsewhere in this metadata record. The statewide property tax table, including all MOD-IV records, is available as a separate download "MOD-IV Tax List Search Plus Database of New Jersey." Users who need only the parcel boundaries with limited attributes may obtain those from a separate download "Parcels Composite of New Jersey ". Also available separately are countywide parcels and tables of property ownership and tax information extracted from the NJ Division of Taxation database.The polygons delineated in this dataset do not represent legal boundaries and should not be used to provide a legal determination of land ownership. Parcels are not survey data and should not be used as such. Please note that these parcel datasets are not intended for use as tax maps. They are intended to provide reasonable representations of parcel boundaries for planning and other purposes.     The dataset has combined the Parcels and Computer-Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) data for 2023 into a single dataset. This dataset is designed to make it easier for stakeholders and the GIS community to use and access the information as a geospatial dataset. Included in this dataset are geometries for all 169 municipalities and attribution from the CAMA data for all but one municipality. Pursuant to Section 7-100l of the Connecticut General Statutes, each municipality is required to transmit a digital parcel file and an accompanying assessor’s database file (known as a CAMA report), to its respective regional council of governments (COG) by May 1 annually. These data were gathered from the CT municipalities by the COGs and then submitted to CT OPM. This dataset was created on 12/08/2023 from data collected in 2022-2023. Data was processed using Python scripts and ArcGIS Pro, ensuring standardization and integration of the data.CAMA Notes:The CAMA underwent several steps to standardize and consolidate the information. Python scripts were used to concatenate fields and create a unique identifier for each entry. The resulting dataset contains 1,353,595 entries and information on property assessments and other relevant attributes.CAMA was provided by the towns.Canaan parcels are viewable, but no additional information is available since no CAMA data was submitted.Spatial Data Notes:Data processing involved merging the parcels from different municipalities using ArcGIS Pro and Python. The resulting dataset contains 1,247,506 parcels.No alteration has been made to the spatial geometry of the data.Fields that are associated with CAMA data were provided by towns.The data fields that have information from the CAMA were sourced from the towns’ CAMA data.If no field for the parcels was provided for linking back to the CAMA by the town a new field within the original data was selected if it had a match rate above 50%, that joined back to the CAMA.Linking fields were renamed to "Link".All linking fields had a census town code added to the beginning of the value to create a unique identifier per town.Any field that was not town name, Location, Editor, Edit Date, or a field associated back to the CAMA, was not used in the creation of this Dataset.Only the fields related to town name, location, editor, edit date, and link fields associated with the towns’ CAMA were included in the creation of this dataset.     King County Assessor data has been summarized to the tax parcel identification number (PIN) and City of Seattle spatial overlay data has been assigned through geographic overlay processes. This data is updated periodically and is used to support the analytical and reporting functions of the City of Seattle long-range and policy planning office.

    The table includes attribute data from the King County Assessor as well as spatial overlay data for various City of Seattle reporting geographies. These geographic attributes are assigned as "majority rules" by land area in cases where multiple geographies span a single tax parcel.

    KCA tax parcels are created by King County for property tax assessment and collection and may not match development sites as defined by the City of Seattle (single buildings may span multiple tax parcels), may be stacked on top of each other to represent undivided interest and vertical parcels, or may be made up of several sites that are not contiguous. Every effort is made to accurately summarize key tax parcel attributes to a single PIN.

    Attributes include parcel centroid locations in latitude/longitude and Washington State Plane X,Y. To get polygon representation of the data please see King County's open data page for parcels and join this table through the PIN field. Please be aware that the King County Assessor site address is not a postal address and may not match other address sources for the same property such as postal, utility billing, and permitting.

Included in this dataset are geometries for all 169 municipalities and attribution from the CAMA data for all but one municipality. These data were gathered from the CT municipalities by the COGs and then submitted to CT OPM. This dataset was created on September 2025 from data collected in 2024-2025. Data was processed using Python scripts and ArcGIS Pro for standardization and integration of the data. To learn more about Parcel and CAMA in CT visit our Parcels Page in the Geodata Portal.Coordinate system: This dataset is provided in NAD 83 Connecticut State Plane (2011) (EPSG 2234) projection as it was for 2024. Prior versions were provided at WGS 1984 Web Mercator Auxiliary Sphere (EPSG 3857). Ownership Suppression: The updated dataset includes parcel data for all towns across the state, with some towns featuring fully suppressed ownership information. In these instances, the owner’s name was replaced with the label "Current Owner," the co-owner’s name will be listed as "Current Co-Owner," and the mailing address will appear as the property address itself. For towns with fully suppressed ownership data, please note that no "Suppression" field was included in the submission to confirm these details and this labeling approach was implemented as the solution.New Data Fields:The new dataset introduces the “Property Zip” and “Mailing Zip” fields, which will display the zip codes for the owner and property.Service URL:In 2024, we implemented a stable URL to maintain public access to the most up-to-date data layer. Users are strongly encouraged to transition to the new service as soon as possible to ensure uninterrupted workflows. This URL will remain persistent, providing long-term stability for your applications and integrations.     This parcels polygons feature class represents current city parcels within the City of Los Angeles. It shares topology with the Landbase parcel lines feature class. The Mapping and Land Records Division of the Bureau of Engineering, Department of Public Works provides the most current geographic information of the public right of way, ownership and land record information. The legal boundaries are determined on the ground by license surveyors in the State of California, and by recorded documents from the Los Angeles County Recorder's office and the City Clerk's office of the City of Los Angeles. Parcel and ownership information are available on NavigateLA, a website hosted by the Bureau of Engineering, Department of Public Works.Associated information about the landbase parcels is entered into attributes. Principal attributes include:PIN and PIND: represents the unique auto-generated parcel identifier and key to related features and tables. This field is related to the LA_LEGAL, LA_APN and LA_HSE_NBR tables. PIN contains spaces and PIND replaces those spaces with a dash (-).LA_LEGAL - Table attributes containing legal description. Principal attributes include the following:TRACT: The subdivision tract number as recorded by the County of Los AngelesMAP_REF: Identifies the subdivision map book reference as recorded by the County of Los Angeles.LOT: The subdivision lot number as recorded by the County of Los Angeles.ENG_DIST: The four engineering Districts (W=Westla, C=Central, V= Valley and H=Harbor).CNCL_DIST: Council Districts 1-15 of the City of Los Angeles. The parcels polygons layer delineates the right of way from Landbase parcels lots. The parcels polygons layer is a feature class in the LACityLandbaseData.gdb Geodatabase dataset. The layer consists of spatial data as a polygon feature class and attribute data for the features. The area inside a polygon feature is a parcel lot. The area outside of the parcel polygon feature is the right of way. Several polygon features are adjacent, sharing one line between two polygons. For each parcel, there is a unique identifier in the PIND and PIN fields. The only difference is PIND has a dash and PIN does not. The types of edits include new subdivisions and lot cuts. Associated legal information about the landbase parcels lots is entered into attributes. The landbase parcels layer is vital to other City of LA Departments, by supporting property and land record operations and identifying legal information for City of Los Angeles. The landbase parcels polygons are inherited from a database originally created by the City's Survey and Mapping Division. Parcel information should only be added to the Landbase Parcels layer if documentation exists, such as a Deed or a Plan approved by the City Council. When seeking the definitive description of real property, consult the recorded Deed or Plan.List of Fields:ID: A unique numeric identifier of the polygon. The ID value is the last part of the PIN field value.ASSETID: User-defined feature autonumber.MAPSHEET: The alpha-numeric mapsheet number, which refers to a valid B-map or A-map number on the Cadastral grid index map. Values: • B, A, -5A - Any of these alpha-numeric combinations are used, whereas the underlined spaces are the numbers. An A-map is the smallest grid in the index map and is used when there is a large amount of spatial information in the map display. There are more parcel lines and annotation than can fit in the B-map, and thus, an A-map is used. There are 4 A-maps in a B-map. In areas where parcel lines and annotation can fit comfortably in an index map, a B-map is used.     The State Lands Commission has prepared the Significant Lands Inventory (report) for the California Legislature as a general identification and classification of those unconveyed State school lands and tide and submerged lands which possess significant environmental values. The publication incorporates evaluated and pertinent comments received on the initial draft report which was circulated statewide in February 1975.The absence of a particular digitized waterway in the dataset does not mean that the State does not claim ownership of that parcel or waterway, or that such specific parcel or waterway has no significant environmental values. This dataset is not intended to establish ownership, only to identify those parcels which possess significant environmental values. Staff was unable to physically inventory all of the considered lands; instead, the advice and participation of those with known enviornmental expertise was utilized as additional to staff survey.Tide and submerged lands are digitized in the WaterBody and WaterLine feature classes; WaterLines for coastal areas, WaterBody for inland areas. Tide and submerged lands under the jurisdiction of the State Lands Commission are those sovereign lands received from the Federal Government by virtue of California's admission to the Union on an equal footing with the original States. Such lands, and State interest therein, are generally the lands waterward of the ordinary high water mark of the Pacific Ocean (seaward to a three-mile limit); tidal bays, sloughs, estuaries; and, navigable lakes and streams within the State.School Lands are digitized in the SchoolLand feature class. State school lands under the jurisdiction of the Commission are largely composed of the 16th and 36th sections of each township. The Federal Government transferred these lands to the State in 1853, in order to establish a financial foundation for a public school system. In cases where the 16th and 36th sections were mineral in character, incomplete as to acreage total, or already claimed or granted by the Federal Government, the State was permitted to select other lands "in lieu" of the specific sections.The public trust of commerce, navigation and fisheries which the State retains on patented sovereign lands should also be considered included in this inventory. Wherever a waterway, or body of water, is listed or mapped, the common trust state interest in patented sovereign lands, if any, is also included.The State Lands Commission emphasized when it adopted this report at its December 1, 1975 meeting that all tide and submerged lands are significant by the nature of their public ownership. Only because of the methodology used for this report are all of these waterways not specifically listed in this inventory.It is the intent of the State Lands Commission that the Significant Lands Inventory be periodically updated. This dataset should be considered informational, to assist the Legislature, the Commission, and the public in considering the environmental aspects of a proposed project and the significant values to be protected therein.

    King County Assessor (KCA) data has been compiled to create a dataset of unit types and sizes by tax parcel identification number (PIN). City of Seattle spatial overlay data has been assigned through geographic overlay processes. This data is updated periodically and is used to support the analytical and reporting functions of the City of Seattle long-range and policy planning office.

    The table includes attribute data from the King County Assessor tables that characterize the use, number of units, number of bedrooms and building square footage (net) for all buildings that indicate a residential use. Due to the way KCA reports the data, some records are for all units within individual buildings (residential and commercial building records), while other records are for the combination of unit type and number of bedrooms (apartment and condominium records) on a particular property (called complex in the table). Therefore there may be many records for any given PIN.

    Some unit counts and type assignments have been imputed based on other data to allow characterization of the complete data set. Other fields have been added to aid in classification for planning purposes such as the complex category. Every effort is made to characterize the data accurately.

    Spatial overlay data for various City of Seattle reporting geographies are assigned as "majority rules" by land area in cases where multiple geographies span a single tax parcel.

    KCA tax parcels are created by King County for property tax assessment and collection and may not match development sites as defined by the City of Seattle (single buildings may span multiple tax parcels), may be stacked on top of each other to represent undivided interest and vertical parcels, or may be made up of several sites that are not contiguous.

    Attributes include parcel centroid locations in latitude/longitude and Washington State Plane X,Y. To get polygon representation of the data please see King County's open data page for parcels and join this table through the PIN field. Please be aware that the King County Assessor site address is not a postal address and may not match other address sources for the same property such as postal, utility billing, and permitting.

    Description

    This dataset overlays a grid on the County to assist in locating a parcel. The grid squares are 3,500 by 4,500 square feet. The data was derived from original MAPINDX: Map Index Sheets from Block and Lot Grid of Property Assessment and based on aerial photography. Tiles are numbered in a clockwise spiral fashion starting with #1 at the point in downtown Pittsburgh. Each tile contains 16 Blocks. Each Index Sheet contains 16 lot/block sheets, labeled from left to right, top to bottom (4 across, 4 down): A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, J, K, L, M, N, P, R, S. The first (4) numeric characters in a parcelID indicate the Index sheet in which the parcel can be found, the alpha character identifies the block in which most (or all) of the property lies.

    This dataset was compiled by selecting all tax parcels with a use description of mobile home park or camper park and creating a new layer from this selection. This layer was then used to erase duplicate features in the old mobile home parks layer. The altered, original mobile home parks layer was joined to the new layer so that any mobile home parks not indicated in the tax parcel layer would be included. The new layer was manually checked for errors to ensure that each feature accurately depicted the boundaries of the tax parcel for each mobile home park and the name and owner information for each park.

    This dataset includes one file for each of the 51 counties that were collected, as well as a CA_Merged file with the parcels merged into a single file.Note – this data does not include attributes beyond the parcel ID number (PARNO) – that will be provided when available, most likely by the state of California.DownloadA 1.6 GB zipped file geodatabase is available for download - click here.DescriptionA geodatabase with parcel boundaries for 51 (out of 58) counties in the State of California. The original target was to collect data for the close of the 2013 fiscal year. As the collection progressed, it became clear that holding to that time standard was not practical. Out of expediency, the date requirement was relaxed, and the currently available dataset was collected for a majority of the counties. Most of these were distributed with minimal metadata.The table “ParcelInfo” includes the data that the data came into our possession, and our best estimate of the last time the parcel dataset was updated by the original source. Data sets listed as “Downloaded from” were downloaded from a publicly accessible web or FTP site from the county. Other data sets were provided directly to us by the county, though many of them may also be available for direct download. Â These data have been reprojected to California Albers NAD84, but have not been checked for topology, or aligned to county boundaries in any way. Tulare County’s dataset arrived with an undefined projection and was identified as being California State Plane NAD83 (US Feet) and was assigned by ICE as that projection prior to reprojection. Kings County’s dataset was delivered as individual shapefiles for each of the 50 assessor’s books maintained at the county. These were merged to a single feature class prior to importing to the database.The attribute tables were standardized and truncated to include only a PARNO (APN). The format of these fields has been left identical to the original dataset. The Data Interoperablity Extension ETL tool used in this process is included in the zip file. Where provided by the original data sources, metadata for the original data has been maintained. It was developed during the Parcels Normalization Project in 2008-2014 by the NJ Office of Information Technology, Office of GIS (NJOGIS). The normalized parcels data are compatible with the New Jersey Department of Treasury MOD-IV system currently used by Tax Assessors and selected attributes from that system have been joined with the parcels in this dataset. Please see the NJGIN parcel dataset page for additional resources, including a downloadable zip file of the statewide data: https://njgin.nj.gov/njgin/edata/parcels/index.html#!/This composite of parcels data serves as one of New Jersey's framework GIS data sets. Stewardship and maintenance of the data will continue to be the purview of county and municipal governments, but the statewide composite will be maintained by NJOGIS.Parcel attributes were normalized to a standard structure, specified in the NJ GIS Parcel Mapping Standard, to store parcel information and provide a PIN (parcel identification number) field that can be used to match records with suitably-processed property tax data. The standard is available for viewing and download at https://njgin.state.nj.us/oit/gis/NJ_NJGINExplorer/docs/NJGIS_ParcelMappingStandardv3.2.pdf. The PIN also can be constructed from attributes available in the MOD-IV Tax List Search table (see below).This dataset includes a large number of additional attributes from matched MOD-IV records; however, not all MOD-IV records match to a parcel, for reasons explained elsewhere in this metadata record. The statewide property tax table, including all MOD-IV records, is available as a separate download "MOD-IV Tax List Search Plus Database of New Jersey." Users who need only the parcel boundaries with limited attributes may obtain those from a separate download "Parcels Composite of New Jersey ". Also available separately are countywide parcels and tables of property ownership and tax information extracted from the NJ Division of Taxation database.The polygons delineated in this dataset do not represent legal boundaries and should not be used to provide a legal determination of land ownership. Parcels are not survey data and should not be used as such. Please note that these parcel datasets are not intended for use as tax maps. They are intended to provide reasonable representations of parcel boundaries for planning and other purposes.
