TwitterAll of the ERS mapping applications, such as the Food Environment Atlas and the Food Access Research Atlas, use map services developed and hosted by ERS as the source for their map content. These map services are open and freely available for use outside of the ERS map applications. Developers can include ERS maps in applications through the use of the map service REST API, and desktop GIS users can use the maps by connecting to the map server directly.

TwitterIn support of new permitting workflows associated with anticipated WellSTAR needs, the CalGEM GIS unit extended the existing BLM PLSS Township & Range grid to cover offshore areas with the 3-mile limit of California jurisdiction. The PLSS grid as currently used by CalGEM is a composite of a BLM download (the majority of the data), additions by the DPR, and polygons created by CalGEM to fill in missing areas (the Ranchos, and Offshore areas within the 3-mile limit of California jurisdiction).CalGEM is the Geologic Energy Management Division of the California Department of Conservation, formerly the Division of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources (as of January 1, 2020).Update Frequency: As Needed

TwitterLands Department of Hong Kong SAR has released Location Search API which is available in Hong Kong Geodata Store (https://geodata.gov.hk/gs/). This API is very useful to Esri Users in Hong Kong as it saves vast amount of time to carry out data conversion to support location searching. The API is HTTP-based for application developers to find any locations in Hong Kong by addresses, building names, place names or facility names.
This code sample contains sample HTML and JavaScript files. Users can follow This Guidelines to use the Location Search API with ArcGIS API for JavaScript to build web mapping applications with ArcGIS API for JavaScript.

TwitterThis layer is designed to support exporting small volumes of basemap tiles for offline use. The content of this layer is equivalent to World Imagery. World Imagery provides one meter or better satellite and aerial imagery in many parts of the world and lower resolution satellite imagery worldwide. See World Imagery for more details. The map service supporting this layer will enable you to export up to 150,000 tiles in a single request. For estimation purposes, this is large enough to support the export of:Large city (e.g. San Francisco) down to full level of detail at ~1:1,000 scale (Level 19)Medium size state or province (e.g. Colorado) down to scale of ~1:36,000 (Level 14)Medium to large country (e.g. Continental United States) down to scale of ~1:288,000 (Level 11)This layer is not intended to be used to display live map tiles for use in a web map or web mapping application. To display map tiles, please use World Imagery basemap.Service Information for DevelopersTo export tiles for World Imagery, you must use the instance of the World_Imagery service hosted on the tiledbasemaps.arcgis.com server referenced by this layer (see URL in Contents below), which has the Export Tiles operation enabled. This layer is intended to support export of basemap tiles for offline use in ArcGIS applications and other applications built with an ArcGIS Runtime SDK.

Alquist-Priolo Earthquake Fault Zoning Act (1972) and the Seismic Hazards Mapping Act (1990) direct the State Geologist to delineate regulatory "Zones of Required Investigation" to reduce the threat to public health and safety and to minimize the loss of life and property posed by earthquake-triggered ground failures. Cities and counties affected by the zones must regulate certain development "projects" within them. These Acts also require sellers of real property (and their agents) within a mapped hazard zone to disclose at the time of sale that the property lies within such a zone.
NOTE: Fault Evaluation Reports are available for those areas covered by a Regulatory Map however there are reports available for areas outside the Regulatory map boundary. For a complete set of maps available for purchase on CD please contact the CGS Library.

The 2011 Bedrock Geologic Map of Vermont (1:100,000 scale) was created to integrate detailed (1:12,000- to 1:24,000-scale) modern mapping with the theory of plate tectonics to provide a framework for geologic, tectonic, economic, hydrogeologic, and environmental characterization of the bedrock of Vermont. It supersedes the 1961 bedrock geologic map which was produced at a scale of 1:250,000 (Doll and others, 1961).Please see the metadata and readme files at the publication website:https://pubs.usgs.gov/sim/3184/

TwitterIndex map page boundaries of the Mat-Su Borough Tax Map Page Index. The entire Borough is divided into a series of "base maps" and "index" or "grid maps". Base maps are given names that represent the geographical area represented (similar to USGS quad mapping) and index maps are numbered sequentially within the base map. The result is a base map with a two-character name (for example: ("WA" for Wasilla) and numbered index maps (usually numbered "1" thru "16"). The Mat-Su Borough tax map set is published using these pages.

TwitterMineral Land Classification studies are produced by the State Geologist as specified by the Surface Mining and Reclamation Act (SMARA, PRC 2710 et seq.) of 1975. To address mineral resource conservation, SMARA mandated a two-phase process called classification-designation. Classification is carried out by the State Geologist and designation is a function of the State Mining and Geology Board. The classification studies contained here evaluate the mineral resources and present this information in the form of Mineral Resource Zones. The objective of the classification-designation process is to ensure, through appropriate local lead agency policies and procedures, that mineral materials will be available when needed and do not become inaccessible as a result of inadequate information during the land-use decision-making process.
