    This crash dataset does include crashes from 2023 up until near the middle of July that have been reviewed and loaded into the Maine DOT Asset Warehouse. This crash dataset is static and was put together as an example showing the clustering functionality in ArcGIS Online. In addition the dataset was designed with columns that include data items at the Unit and Persons levels of a crash. The feature layer visualization by default will show the crashes aggregated by the predominant crash type along the corridor. The aggregation settings can be toggled off if desired and crashes can be viewed by the type of crash. Both the aggregation and standard Feature Layer configurations do include popup settings that have been configured.As mentioned above, the Feature Layer itself has been configured to include a standard unique value renderer based on Crash Type and the layer also includes clustering aggregation configurations that could be toggled on or off if the user were to add this layer to a new ArcGIS Online Map. Clustering and aggregation options in ArcGIS Online provide functionality that is not yet available in the latest version of ArcGIS Pro (<=3.1). This additional configuration includes how to show the popup content for the cluster of crashes. Users interested in learning more about clustering and aggregation in ArcGIS Online and some more advanced options should see the following ESRI article (https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-online/mapping/summarize-and-explore-point-clusters-with-arcade-in-popups/).Popups have been configured for both the clusters and the individual crashes. The individual crashes themselves do include multiple tables within a single text element. The bottom table does include data items that pertain to at a maximum of three units for a crash. If a crash includes just one unit then this bottom table will include only 2 columns. For each additional unit involved in a crash an additional column will appear listing out those data items that pertain to that unit up to a maximum of 3 units. There are crashes that do include more than 3 units and information for these additional units is not currently included in the dataset at the moment. The crash data items available in this Feature Layer representation includes many of the same data items from the Crash Layer (10 Years) that are available for use in Maine DOT's Public Map Viewer Application that can be accessed from the following link(https://www.maine.gov/mdot/mapviewer/?added=Crashes%20-%2010%20Years). However this crash data includes data items that are not yet available in other GIS Crash Departments used in visualizations by the department currently. These additional data items can be aggregated using other presentation types such as a Chart, but could also be filtered in the map. Users should refer to the unit count associated to each crash and be aware when a units information may not be visible in those situations where there are four or more units involved in a crash.

    Dealing with large Notebooks can be daunting. Wouldn’t it be nice to import existing logic from other Modules and Code Libraries just like you can with standalone installs of Python? Well, now you can! The Manage Notebook Code Dependencies (MNCD) tool allows you to manage a cache of Python ‘Code Sample’ and ‘Notebook’ item content in your user home folder. Once cached, the content from these items can be imported into your Notebook using the Python import statement, just like your standalone scripts do. Once you import the Python modules from these items, they become ‘Code Dependencies’ to your Notebook and local scripts.This Python logic contains Functions that manage caching Python 'Code Sample' and 'Notebook' item types from ArcGIS Online or Enterprise Portal, unpacking and storing their contents in your Notebook home directory. This makes them accessible to the Notebook Kernel and Python.Once the Python objects are stored, their locations are then added to Python's import path, allowing Python to import the locally cached Modules, Classes, and Functions right to your logic.This enables you to build or leverage existing libraries of reusable code or just offload the bulk of your Notebook logic as a modular Python Script, greatly simplifying your Notebook. Share your IDE developed Python code as a 'Python Code Sample' item, call the manageDependents function to load the item contents, and then import what you need. Later, when updating your Code Sample, the manageDependents function will automatically update the cached Module next time you run the Notebook or call the function.During the MNCD import process, the logic will check for and apply updates to the MNCD logic automatically, just like it does for any managed item.RevisionsOct 20, 2020: Version 1.1 provides the abilty to import logic from other Pyton Notebooks. Any of these variables can be displayed or analyzed by selecting their processing template. In ArcGIS Online, select the Image Display Options on the layer. Then pull down the list of variables from the Renderer options. Click Apply and Close. In ArcGIS Pro, go into the Layer Properties. Select Processing Templates from the left hand menu. From the Processing Template pull down menu, select the variable to display. Using TimeBy default, the map will display as a time series animation, one year per frame. A time slider will appear when you add this layer to your map. To see the most current data, move the time slider until you see the most current year. In addition to displaying the past quarter century of land cover maps as an animation, this time series can also display just one year of data by use of a definition query. For a step by step example using ArcGIS Pro on how to display just one year of this layer, as well as to compare one year to another, see the blog called Calculating Impervious Surface Change.Hierarchical ClassificationLand cover types are defined using the land cover classification (LCCS) developed by the United Nations, FAO. It is designed to be as compatible as possible with other products, namely GLCC2000, GlobCover 2005 and 2009. This is a heirarchical classification system. For example, class 60 means "closed to open" canopy broadleaved deciduous tree cover. But in some places a more specific type of broadleaved deciduous tree cover may be available. In that case, a more specific code 61 or 62 may be used which specifies "open" (61) or "closed" (62) cover. Land Cover ProcessingTo provide consistency over time, these maps are produced from baseline land cover maps, and are revised for changes each year depending on the best available satellite data from each period in time. These revisions were made from AVHRR 1km time series from 1992 to 1999, SPOT-VGT time series between 1999 and 2013, and PROBA-V data for years 2013, 2014 and 2015. When MERIS FR or PROBA-V time series are available, changes detected at 1 km are re-mapped at 300 m. The last step consists in back- and up-dating the 10-year baseline LC map to produce the 24 annual LC maps from 1992 to 2015.Source dataThe datasets behind this layer were extracted from NetCDF files and TIFF files produced by ESA.     Department: Geographic Information Systems Group; Department of Administrative Services

    Development Notes: This data set is a digital soil survey and generally is the most detailed level of soil geographic data developed by the National Cooperative Soil Survey. The information was prepared by digitizing maps, by compiling information onto a planimetric correct base and digitizing, or by revising digitized maps using remotely sensed and other information. This data set consists of georeferenced digital map data and computerized attribute data. The map data are in a soil survey area extent format and include a detailed, field verified inventory of soils and miscellaneous areas that normally occur in a repeatable pattern on the landscape and that can be cartographically shown at the scale mapped. A special soil features layer (point and line features) is optional. This layer displays the location of features too small to delineate at the mapping scale, but they are large enough and contrasting enough to significantly influence use and management. The soil map units are linked to attributes in the National Soil Information System relational database, which gives the proportionate extent of the component soils and their properties. The soil map and data used in the SSURGO product were prepared by soil scientists as part of the National Cooperative Soil Survey.

    Description

    The pathway representation consists of segments and intersection elements. A segment is a linear graphic element that represents a continuous physical travel path terminated by path end (dead end) or physical intersection with other travel paths. Segments have one street name, one address range and one set of segment characteristics. A segment may have none or multiple alias street names. Segment types included are Freeways, Highways, Streets, Alleys (named only), Railroads, Walkways, and Bike lanes. SNDSEG_PV is a linear feature class representing the SND Segment Feature, with attributes for Street name, Address Range, Alias Street name and segment Characteristics objects. Part of the Address Range and all of Street name objects are logically shared with the Discrete Address Point-Master Address File layer. Appropriate uses include: Cartography - Used to depict the City's transportation network location and connections, typically on smaller scaled maps or images where a single line representation is appropriate. Used to depict specific classifications of roadway use, also typically at smaller scales. Used to label transportation network feature names typically on larger scaled maps. Used to label address ranges with associated transportation network features typically on larger scaled maps. Geocode reference - Used as a source for derived reference data for address validation and theoretical address location Address Range data repository - This data store is the City's address range repository defining address ranges in association with transportation network features. Polygon boundary reference - Used to define various area boundaries is other feature classes where coincident with the transportation network. Does not contain polygon features. Address based extracts - Used to create flat-file extracts typically indexed by address with reference to business data typically associated with transportation network features. Thematic linear location reference - By providing unique, stable identifiers for each linear feature, thematic data is associated to specific transportation network features via these identifiers. Thematic intersection location reference - By providing unique, stable identifiers for each intersection feature, thematic data is associated to specific transportation network features via these identifiers. Network route tracing - Used as source for derived reference data used to determine point to point travel paths or determine optimal stop allocation along a travel path. Topological connections with segments - Used to provide a specific definition of location for each transportation network feature. Also provides a specific definition of connection between each transportation network feature. (defines where the streets are and the relationship between them ie. 4th Ave is west of 5th Ave and 4th Ave does intersect with Cherry St) Event location reference - Used as source for derived reference data used to locate event and linear referencing.Data source is TRANSPO.SNDSEG_PV. Updated weekly.

    This web map shows the Hong Kong Domestic households by type of housing by 18 districts in 2021. It is a subset of the 2021 Population Census made available by the Census and Statistics Department under the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (the "Government") at https://portal.csdi.gov.hk ("CSDI Portal"). The source data is in CSV format and has been processed and converted into Esri File Geodatabase format and then uploaded to Esri’s ArcGIS Online platform for sharing and reference purpose. The objectives are to facilitate our Hong Kong ArcGIS Online users to use the data in a spatial ready format and save their data conversion effort.For details about the data, source format and terms of conditions of usage, please refer to the website of CSDI Portal at https://portal.csdi.gov.hk.

    Development Notes: This data set is a digital soil survey and generally is the most detailed level of soil geographic data developed by the National Cooperative Soil Survey. The information was prepared by digitizing maps, by compiling information onto a planimetric correct base and digitizing, or by revising digitized maps using remotely sensed and other information. This data set consists of georeferenced digital map data and computerized attribute data. The map data are in a soil survey area extent format and include a detailed, field verified inventory of soils and miscellaneous areas that normally occur in a repeatable pattern on the landscape and that can be cartographically shown at the scale mapped. A special soil features layer (point and line features) is optional. This layer displays the location of features too small to delineate at the mapping scale, but they are large enough and contrasting enough to significantly influence use and management. The soil map units are linked to attributes in the National Soil Information System relational database, which gives the proportionate extent of the component soils and their properties. The soil map and data used in the SSURGO product were prepared by soil scientists as part of the National Cooperative Soil Survey

This polygon feature class was derived from the MunicipalDistrict feature class. It differs from the MunicipalDistrict feature class in areas where the tax authority differs from the legal authority. For example, two municipalities may have a 425 agreement in which an annexation does not occur, but the tax authority for certain parcels changes from one municipality to another. Key attributes include the Name (CVT name) and Type (CVT type: city, village, general law township, charter township), and CVTCode (unique code identifying the tax authority).

Esri recommends updating your maps and apps to use the new version.Areas protected from conversion include areas that are permanently protected and managed for biodiversity such as Wilderness Areas and National Parks.     This layer presents the best-known point and perimeter locations of wildfire occurrences within the United States over the past 7 days. Points mark a location within the wildfire area and provide current information about that wildfire. Perimeters are the line surrounding land that has been impacted by a wildfire. Consumption Best Practices:As a service that is subject to very high usage, ensure peak performance and accessibility of your maps and apps by avoiding the use of non-cacheable relative Date/Time field filters. To accommodate filtering events by Date/Time, we suggest using the included "Age" fields that maintain the number of days or hours since a record was created or last modified, compared to the last service update. These queries fully support the ability to cache a response, allowing common query results to be efficiently provided to users in a high demand service environment. When ingesting this service in your applications, avoid using POST requests whenever possible. These requests can compromise performance and scalability during periods of high usage because they too are not cacheable. Source:  Wildfire points are sourced from Integrated Reporting of Wildland-Fire Information (IRWIN) and perimeters from National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC).  Current Incidents: This layer provides a near real-time view of the data being shared through the Integrated Reporting of Wildland-Fire Information (IRWIN) service. IRWIN provides data exchange capabilities between participating wildfire systems, including federal, state and local agencies. Data is synchronized across participating organizations to make sure the most current information is available. The display of the points are based on the NWCG Fire Size Classification applied to the daily acres attribute. Current Perimeters: This layer displays fire perimeters posted to the National Incident Feature Service. It is updated from operational data and may not reflect current conditions on the ground. For a better understanding of the workflows involved in mapping and sharing fire perimeter data, see the National Wildfire Coordinating Group Standards for Geospatial Operations. Update Frequency:  Every 15 minutes using the Aggregated Live Feed Methodology based on the following filters:Events modified in the last 7 daysEvents that are not given a Fire Out DateIncident Type Kind: FiresIncident Type Category: Prescribed Fire, Wildfire, and Incident Complex Area Covered: United StatesWhat can I do with this layer? The data includes basic wildfire information, such as location, size, environmental conditions, and resource summaries. Features can be filtered by incident name, size, or date keeping in mind that not all perimeters are fully attributed. Attribute InformationThis is a list of attributes that benefit from additional explanation. Not all attributes are listed. Incident Type Category: This is a breakdown of events into more specific categories.Wildfire (WF) -A wildland fire originating from an unplanned ignition, such as lightning, volcanos, unauthorized and accidental human caused fires, and prescribed fires that are declared wildfires. Prescribed Fire (RX) - A wildland fire originating from a planned ignition in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations to meet specific objectives. Incident Complex (CX) - An incident complex is two or more individual incidents in the same general proximity that are managed together under one Incident Management Team. This allows resources to be used across the complex rather than on individual incidents uniting operational activities. IrwinID: Unique identifier assigned to each incident record in both point and perimeter layers. Acres: these typically refer to the number of acres within the current perimeter of a specific, individual incident, including unburned and unburnable islands.Discovery: An estimate of acres burning upon the discovery of the fire.Calculated or GIS:  A measure of acres calculated (i.e., infrared) from a geospatial perimeter of a fire.Daily: A measure of acres reported for a fire.Final: The measure of acres within the final perimeter of a fire. More specifically, the number of acres within the final fire perimeter of a specific, individual incident, including unburned and unburnable islands. Dates: the various systems contribute date information differently so not all fields will be populated for every fire.FireDiscovery: The date and time a fire was reported as discovered or confirmed to exist. May also be the start date for reporting purposes. Containment: The date and time a wildfire was declared contained. Control: The date and time a wildfire was declared under control.ICS209Report: The date and time of the latest approved ICS-209 report.Current: The date and time a perimeter is last known to be updated.FireOut: The date and time when a fire is declared out.ModifiedOnAge: (Integer) Computed days since event last modified.DiscoveryAge: (Integer) Computed days since event's fire discovery date.CurrentDateAge: (Integer) Computed days since perimeter last modified.CreateDateAge: (Integer) Computed days since perimeter entry created. GACC: A code that identifies one of the wildland fire geographic area coordination centers. A geographic area coordination center is a facility that is used for the coordination of agency or jurisdictional resources in support of one or more incidents within a geographic coordination area.Fire Mgmt Complexity: The highest management level utilized to manage a wildland fire event. Incident Management Organization: The incident management organization for the incident, which may be a Type 1, 2, or 3 Incident Management Team (IMT), a Unified Command, a Unified Command with an IMT, National Incident Management Organization (NIMO), etc. This field is null if no team is assigned. Unique Fire Identifier: Unique identifier assigned to each wildland fire. yyyy = calendar year, SSUUUU = Point Of Origin (POO) protecting unit identifier (5 or 6 characters), xxxxxx = local incident identifier (6 to 10 characters) RevisionsJan 4, 2021: Added Integer fields 'Days Since...' to Current_Incidents point layer and Current_Perimeters polygon layer. These fields are computed when the data is updated, reflecting the current number of days since each record was last updated. This will aid in making 'age' related, cache friendly queries.Mar 12, 2021: Added second set of 'Age' fields for Event and Perimeter record creation, reflecting age in Days since service data update.Apr 21, 2021: Current_Perimeters polygon layer is now being populated by NIFC's newest data source. A new field was added, 'IncidentTypeCategory' to better distinguish Incident types for Perimeters and now includes type 'CX' or Complex Fires. Five fields were not transferrable, and as a result 'Comments', 'Label', 'ComplexName', 'ComplexID', and 'IMTName' fields will be Null moving forward.Apr 26, 2021: Updated Incident Layer Symbology to better clarify events, reduce download size and overhead of symbols. Professional Plus will replaces the Creator user type provision on your institution's account.In the new ArcGIS User model, Professional Plus users will have access to ArcGIS Pro through ArcGIS Online.If the following changes are not made, users will not be able to access ArcGIS Pro through their ArcGIS User Identity.
