This spreadsheet has the aim to provide an overview about tools and frameworks for social media archiving, as a variety of open source tools implemented in different programming languages and with different features exist. It is an adapted version of the "Comparison of web archiving software" by the Data Together Initiative which is licensed under CC BY 4.0: https://github.com/datatogether/research/tree/master/web_archiving. We kept the table structure with its clear column definitions and added new columns, these definitions can be found in the column definitions sheet; some columns do not apply or are not our main focus and thus we kept them empty for now. The observations sheet contains a description of each tool which also served as basis for several column values in the comparison sheet. Initially we focus on tools which are dedicated social media harvesting tools. Please note that general web archiving tools such as listed in the table of the Data Together initiative may be used to harvest social media data too. However, these tools might require a specific setup to cope with the peculiarities of social media data, hence we initially did not include these tools. Contributions and feedback are welcome and we also envision to contribute results back to the Data Together initiative. This dataset consists of 2000 conversations from 5 programming related Q&A channels, hosted on Slack, and accompanies the paper "Automatically Identifying Archival-worthy, Software-related Slack Conversations". In addition to the text of the conversations, each conversation has been annotated as either archival worthy or not. Our definition of archival-worthiness is:
"If a conversation contains information that could be useful to other users, whether in the Slack channel or elsewhere, then it should be archived. These conversations have no determinate length and no need for objectivity. A conversation should be archived based on the availability and ease of identifying information that could help a person to gain useful software-related knowledge."
Data Origin: Numerous public Slack chat channels (https://slack.com/) have recently become available that are focused on specific software engineering-related discussion topics, e.g., Python Development (https://pyslackers.com/web/slack). The data reflects a portion of the conversations on public channels related to Python, Clojure, Elm and Racket programming.
Data Pre-Processing: To protect privacy, we replace usernames with fake names, and replace absolute times with relative times (in seconds). The conversations are disentangled from the overall chat stream with each unique thread in the dataset specifying a conversation in the channel. Archival-worthy conversations are marked with 1, while non-archival-worthy with 0.

Integrated Global Radiosonde Archive is a digital data set archived at the former National Climatic Data Center (NCDC), now National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI). This dataset contains monthly means of geopotential height, temperature, zonal wind, and meridional wind derived from the Integrated Global Radiosonde Archive (IGRA). IGRA consists of radiosonde and pilot balloon observations at over 1500 globally distributed stations, and monthly means are available for the surface and mandatory levels at many of these stations. The period of record varies from station to station, with many extending from 1970 to 2016. Monthly means are computed separately for the nominal times of 0000 and 1200 UTC, considering data within two hours of each nominal time. A mean is provided, along with the number of values used to calculate it, whenever there are at least 10 values for a particular station, month, nominal time, and level.

Abstract (en): This study was conducted to provide a consistent and comprehensive description of convicted persons' entrance into and departure from correctional custody and correctional supervision. To accomplish this goal, data were gathered from official state prison records on topics such as race, sex, and age of inmates, length of time in jail, length of time in prison, and type of offense committed. The data were collected from the state prison systems of 38 states, as well as the Federal Prison System, the California Youth Authority, and the District of Columbia. ICPSR data undergo a confidentiality review and are altered when necessary to limit the risk of disclosure. ICPSR also routinely creates ready-to-go data files along with setups in the major statistical software formats as well as standard codebooks to accompany the data. The election studies are designed to present data on Americans' social backgrounds, enduring political predispositions, social and political values, perceptions and evaluations of groups and candidates, opinions on questions of public policy, and participation in political life. A Black supplement of 263 respondents, who were asked the same questions that were administered to the national cross-section sample, is included with the national cross-section of 1,571 respondents. In addition to the usual content, the study contains data on opinions about the Supreme Court, political knowledge, and further information concerning racial issues. Voter validation data have been included as an integral part of the election study, providing objective information from registration and voting records or from respondents' past voting behavior. Abstract (en): This survey collected data from 1,373 nonprofit museums in 50 states and the District of Columbia. The sample was drawn from a universe of museums developed in a 1978 National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) museum universe study. The purpose of the study was to estimate the characteristics and educational roles of the nonprofit museum universe. For the purpose of this survey, a museum was defined as an institution organized on a permanent basis for essentially educational or aesthetic purposes, which utilizes a staff, owns or uses tangible objects whether animate or inanimate, cares for these objects, and exhibits them to the public on a regular basis. A stratified, random sample was drawn from a sampling frame of 4,408 museums identified by the 1978 Museum Universe Survey. The survey instrument was mailed to museum directors on December 12, 1979. Non-respondent follow-ups included a reminder letter, telephone follow-up and a second survey mail-out, followed by a final telephone follow-up. The purpose of the study was to estimate the characteristics and educational roles of the nonprofit museum universe. The study was conducted for the National Center for Education Statistics by Macro Systems, Inc. This survey collected data from 1,373 nonprofit museums in 50 states and the District of Columbia. The survey instrument was mailed to museum directors on December 12, 1979. Non-respondent follow-ups included a reminder letter, telephone follow-up and a second survey mail-out, followed by a final telephone follow-up. A 94 percent response rate was achieved. All surveys went through extensive manual and machine edit checks to detect and correct logic and consistency errors. All errors in the submitted data were resolved with museum directors by telephone; an average of three calls per museum were made. Non-critical data items still missing following a reasonable number of follow-up attempts were imputed based on responses of peer museums. Each responding museum was appropriately weighted to represent the 1978 universe of nonprofit museums. In the course of the survey, 49 duplicates were detected in the universe and the original universe size of 4,629 was appropriately adjusted (4,580). Additionally, 21 sampled museums were determined to be not yet open, 3 permanently closed, and 5 did not meet the definition of a museum. The museums in these last three categories are estimated to comprise approximately 172 museums in the universe. Thus, 4,408 nonprofit museums were estimated to be open to the public. Each responding museum was appropriately weighted to represent the 1978 universe of nonprofit museums. Abstract (en): The UNIFORM CRIME REPORTING PROGRAM DATA: SUPPLEMENTARY HOMICIDE REPORTS, 2010 (SHR) provide detailed information on criminal homicides reported to the police. These homicides consist of murders; non-negligent killings also called non-negligent manslaughter; and justifiable homicides. UCR Program contributors compile and submit their crime data by one of two means: either directly to the FBI or through their State UCR Programs. State UCR Programs frequently impose mandatory reporting requirements which have been effective in increasing both the number of reporting agencies as well as the number and accuracy of each participating agency's reports. Each agency may be identified by its numeric state code, alpha-numeric agency ("ORI") code, jurisdiction population, and population group. In addition, each homicide incident is identified by month of occurrence and situation type, allowing flexibility in creating aggregations and subsets. This dataset provides daily and zonal mean variables derived from the ERA5 reanalysis, including terms of the transformed Eulerian mean (TEM) momentum budget.
All variables (zonal, meridional and vertical wind speed, temperature, zonal wind tendencies from Eliassen-Palm (EP) flux divergence and advection, EP fluxes and the residual streamfunction) are obtained from 6-hourly and native vertical and 0.5 degrees spatial resolution data. Zonal mean wind tendency from parameterizations is also provided (from the forecasts). Data are obtained from the MARS archive.
Data are provided as one .zip file per decade (only partial for the 2020s and 1950s). Monthly means of the same quantities are provided in a companion dataset (10.5281/zenodo.7081721).

Data Set Overview The Venus Express (VEX) Radio Science (VeRa) Data Archive is a timeordered collection of raw and partially processed data collected during the Venus Express Mission. This is a Solar Conjunction measurement covering the time 20061017T21:10:01 to 20061018T00:30:00. This data set contains archival raw, partially processed, and ancillary/supporting radio science data acquired during the Routine Operations phase of the Venus Express (VEX) mission using ground facilities of the European Space Agency (ESA) and/or the NASA Deep Space Network (DSN). This includes: persons who are considered high-risk for COVID-19 due to recent travel, contact with a known case, exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 as determined by a healthcare professional, or some combination thereof. PUI’s also include people who meet laboratory testing criteria based on symptoms and exposure, as well as confirmed cases with positive test results. PUIs include any person who is or was being tested, including those with negative and pending results. All PUIs fit into one of three residency types: 1. Florida residents tested in Florida2. Non-Florida residents tested in Florida3. Florida residents tested outside of Florida Florida Residents Tested Elsewhere: The total number of Florida residents with positive COVID-19 test results who were tested outside of Florida, and were not exposed/infectious in Florida.Non-Florida Residents Tested in Florida: The total number of people with positive COVID-19 test results who were tested, exposed, and/or infectious while in Florida, but are legal residents of another state. Total Cases: The total (sum) number of Persons Under Investigation (PUI) who tested positive for COVID-19 while in Florida, as well as Florida residents who tested positive or were exposed/contagious while outside of Florida, and out-of-state residents who were exposed, contagious and/or tested in Florida.Deaths: The Deaths by Day chart shows the total number of Florida residents with confirmed COVID-19 that died on each calendar day (12:00 AM - 11:59 PM). This spreadsheet has the aim to provide an overview about tools and frameworks for social media archiving, as a variety of open source tools implemented in different programming languages and with different features exist. It is an adapted version of the "Comparison of web archiving software" by the Data Together Initiative which is licensed under CC BY 4.0: https://github.com/datatogether/research/tree/master/web_archiving. We kept the table structure with its clear column definitions and added new columns, these definitions can be found in the column definitions sheet; some columns do not apply or are not our main focus and thus we kept them empty for now. The observations sheet contains a description of each tool which also served as basis for several column values in the comparison sheet. Initially we focus on tools which are dedicated social media harvesting tools. Please note that general web archiving tools such as listed in the table of the Data Together initiative may be used to harvest social media data too. However, these tools might require a specific setup to cope with the peculiarities of social media data, hence we initially did not include these tools. Contributions and feedback are welcome and we also envision to contribute results back to the Data Together initiative.
