The data source for this measure is the U.S. Census Bureau's American Community Survey 1-Year Estimates, table S1901. The percentage of all Austin MSA households whose income is less than 60% median family income (MFI) within the City of Austin was calculated by dividing the number of households whose income is less than 60% MFI in Austin by the number of households whose income is less than 60% MFI in the Austin MSA.
