Map has national coverage but opens in Milwaukee. Use the map's bookmarks or the search bar to view other cities. Bookmarks include what are generally thought of as "affordable" cities - Fresno, Salt Lake City, New Orleans, Albuquerque, El Paso, Tusla, Raleigh, Milwaukee - but yet there are many seniors whose housing costs are 30 percent or more of their income. "The burden of housing costs combined with climbing health care expenses can significantly reduce financial security at older ages" according to the Urban Institute. The number of senior households is projected to grow in the coming years, making the issue of economic security for seniors even more pressing.Housing costs are defined as burdensome if they exceed 30 percent of monthly income, a widely-used definition by HUD and others in affordable housing discussions. For owners, monthly housing costs include payments for mortgages and all other debts on the property; real estate taxes; fire, hazard, and flood insurance; utilities; fuels; and condominium or mobile home fees. For renters, monthly housing costs include contract rent plus the estimated average monthly cost of utilities (electricity, gas, and water and sewer) and fuels (oil, coal, kerosene, wood, etc.) if these are paid by the renter.Income is defined as the sum of wage/salary income; net self-employment income; interest/dividends/net rental/royalty income/income from estates & trusts; Social Security/Railroad Retirement income; Supplemental Security Income (SSI); public assistance/welfare payments; retirement/survivor/disability pensions; & all other income.Only households with a householder who is 65 and over are included in these maps. The monthly net (after taxes) and gross (before taxes) earnings (i.e. income from salaries) in Romania between 1991 and 2020 (current) are available through this dataset. The data is provided / each month.
For most of the population in Romania, main income is from salary earnings. This dataset is analyzing the evolution of gross and net (after taxes) income in Romania, between 1991 and 2020 (present). The data source is the Romanian Statistic Institute. The data is provided monthly.
Starting with 1990, post-communist economy depression, failing international markets for post-communist countries and internal political turmoil, correlated with rampant corruption in privatization of public sector resulted in an increasingly devaluation of the national currency Leu (ROL), or in other words, an aggressive inflation. In 2005, a revaluation of the national currency by Romanian National Bank equated 1 ROL to 10,000 new Romanian Leu or RON. This is the reason why from Jan 2005 we see a massive drop in the values (values divided with 10,000).
Taxation as well shows an evolution with some landmarks we need to detail here.
Until 2005, taxation was progressive. The state could hardly collect the taxes and unique solution they could imagine was to increase the taxes.
From 2005, there is a flat income taxation of 16%. It applied to the gross revenue, but besides the income taxes, other taxes, applied to the gross revenue (National Health Insurance, Retirement National Plan) as well as to the net revenue. Totally, there were 7-8 taxes applied to the gross income (partially directly, partially through net income, the actual total tax amounting to ~45-50% in average). Therefore, between 2005 and 2010 we can see a tax of ~23.5% to 27.5% (increasing) - this is the part of the total tax deducted from the gross earnings. From 2010 to 2018, tax percent is almost unchanged.
In 2018, a new fiscal reform was passed and from then, all taxes applied to gross income and the average tax decreased from a total of ~45% from the gross earnings to 40% from gross earnings).
The data is collected by the National Institute of Statistics from Romania.
Can you follow the devaluation (due to rampant inflation) in the '90s, followed by a valuation of domestic currency? Can you estimate the amount of income taxes (difference between gross and net earnings), and study its change from 1991 to 2020?

TwitterUncover the factors that lead to employee attrition
Attrition in business can mean the reduction in staff and employees in a company through normal means, such as retirement and resignation, the loss of customers or clients to old age or growing out of the company’s target demographic.Changes in management style, company structure, or other aspects of the company might cause employees to leave the company voluntarily, resulting in a higher attrition rate. Another possible cause of attrition is when a company eliminates a job completely.
Uncover the factors that lead to employee attrition and explore important questions such as ‘show me a breakdown of distance from home by job role and attrition’ or ‘compare average monthly income by education and attrition’. This is a data set previously used by IBM data scientists.
