    Description

    Prior to 1974 the data was based on surveys of existing house sales in Dublin carried out by the Valuation Office on behalf of the D. O. E. Since 1974 the data has been based on information supplied by all lending agencies on the average price of mortgage financed existing house transactions. Average house prices are derived from data supplied by the mortgage lending agencies on loans approved by them rather than loans paid. In comparing house prices figures from one period to another, account should be taken of the fact that changes in the mix of houses (incl apartments) will affect the average figures. Data for 1969/1970 is not available for Cork, Limerick, Galway, Waterford and Other areas The most current data is published on these sheets. Previously published data may be subject to revision. Any change from the originally published data will be highlighted by a comment on the cell in question. These comments will be maintained for at least a year after the date of the value change. National and Other Areas figure changed for 2015 on 27/6/15 as revised data received from Local Authorities Prices includes houses and apartments measured in € .hidden { display: none }

    Description

    As part of the Regional Housing Initiative (RHI), the team conducted a submarket analysis. This analysis identifies 2020 census tracts with similar housing characteristics (density, price, market conditions) and groups them accordingly. This submarket analysis uses a Latent Profile Analysis (LPA) via the mclust package in R to group the region's 1,407 eligible census tracts (tracts with no households or population were removed) into one of eight submarkets. The team reviewed the existing conditions of these submarkets to identify their housing challenges and appropriate policies and strategies for each submarket. Census tables used to gather data from the 2016-2020 American Community Survey 5-Year Estimates. Data Dictionary

The history of condominiums in Japan During the period of rapid economic growth in the 1960s, public housing apartment buildings made of concrete, called Danchi, gained increasing popularity in Japan. This also meant a shift away from multi-generational households to nuclear family households. As a part of this development, construction companies started to build the first condominiums, followed by the first condominium boom in the mid-1960s. Today, the number of residential condominiums in Japan is still growing. The condominium market in Japan Greater Tokyo and Greater Osaka together accounted for almost two-thirds of the supply of new condominiums in Japan. Condominium prices have been on an upward trend recently. The average price per square meter of new apartment units was the highest in the Greater Tokyo Area. Amid rising property prices across Japan, pre-owned condominiums also saw a price increase.
