This indicator presents the natural gas prices charged to final consumers. Natural gas prices for non-household consumers are defined as follows: Average national price in Euro per Giga Joule (GJ) without taxes applicable for the first semester of each year for medium size industrial consumers (Consumption Band I3 with annual consumption between 10 000 and 100 000 GJ). Natural gas prices for household consumers are defined as follows: Average national price in Euro per GJ including taxes and levies applicable for the first semester of each year for medium size household consumers (Consumption Band D2 with annual consumption between 20 and 200 GJ).

As of May 2025, the average price for premium gasoline in Germany was around 176.9 euro cents per liter. This was a slight decrease compared to the year before.

This table contains consumer prices for electricity and gas. Weighted average monthly prices are published broken down into transport rate, delivery rates and taxes, both including and excluding VAT. These prices are published on a monthly basis. The prices presented in this table were used to compile the CPI up to May 2023. Prices for newly offered contracts were collected. Contract types that are no longer offered, but have been in previous reporting periods, are imputed. The average can therefore diverge from the prices paid for energy contracts by Dutch households.
