The average monthly rent stood at 12.9 euros per square meter in that period. That was slightly higher than the national average. Overall, the majority of households in Spain live in an owner-occupied home.
The annual prime rent for warehouses over 5,000 square meters in the occupier logistics market in Barcelona reached 96 euros per square meter in the last quarter of 2023. In Madrid and Valencia, prices were lower, at 78 euros per square meter and 66 euros per square meter.
Ciutat Vella and L’Eixample were the most expensive districts for housing in Valencia, Spain in December 2023. The average house price per square meter in both districts exceeded 3,000 euros. Rascanya, on the other hand, had the most affordable house prices, amounting to 1,551 euros.
The return rate of investment in rental housing stood at 10.1 percent points in Gandía, in the province of Valencia in 2022. It ranked as the city where it was the most profitable to rent out a house based on the value of a property on sale and the annual income derived from house rents. Valencia, Murcia, and Alicante were some of the provinces with the highest return on investment.
