This publication annually describes the composition and the number of persons employed in eleven public sectors. The Ministry of Internal Affairs provide from 2002 the public sector police force itself.

    This table contains figures on the average income (personal transfer income, personal income, standardised income) of the working population aged 15 to 75 (excluding the institutional population). These data are specialised by employment position and broken down by gender, age, educational level, migration background and household position.

    Data available from: 2005-2014

    Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final.

    Changes as of 27 February 2018: None, this table has been discontinued.

    Changes as of 7 April 2017: The preliminary figures for 2014 have been replaced by final figures 2014. In addition, the underlying encodings of the classifications used in this table have been adjusted. These are in line with the standard codes laid down by CBS.

    When will there be new figures? This table has been discontinued. On 8 February 2017, income data were revised. The revised data will become available from 2011, for which new tables will be launched. For more information on the revision, see the link to the press release in paragraph 3.

    In 2005, an estimated 18 201 000 people reported employment income (earnings), an increase of more than 1.5 million from five years ago. The national median earnings of persons 15 years and over was $26 850. These earnings were one component of household total income. The national median income for 12 437 470 households in 2005 was $53 634 up 2.3% from 2000. The map shows by census subdivision the median household income in 2005 constant dollars.
