1:62,500 scale Geologic Map of the Rhyolite Ridge Quadrangle, Esmeralda County, Nevada, USGS, GQ-1325. Detailed geologic mapping by Paul T. Robinson, John H. Stewart, Richard J. Moiola, and John P. Albers in 1976. Previous work includes the Geologic map of the Benton quadrangle (Crowder, Robinson, and Harris, 1972); Geologic map of the Mount Barcroft quadrangle (Krauskopf, 1971); Geologic map of the Blanco Mountain quadrangle (Nelson, 1966); Geologic map of the Piper Peak quadrangle (Stewart, Robinson, Albers, and Crowder, 1974). Geology of the Rhyolite Ridge Quadrangle, Esmeralda County, Nevada, with description of 56 geologic units. The GIS work was in support of the U.S. Geological Survey COGEOMAP program. The Geodatabase specifies feature datasets and feature classes, together with feature attributes, subtypes and domains, suitable for the printed geologic map. In addition to basic geology (lithology, contacts and faults, etc.), the maps may include metamorphic overprints, cross-sections, and explanatory legend-graphics such as correlation charts, used to supplement columnar legends. Description

Fugro Horizons Inc. acquired highly accurate Light Detection and Ranging (lidar) elevation data for the Twin Cities metropolitan region in east-central Minnesota in Spring and Fall 2011, with some reflights in Spring 2012. The data cover Anoka, Benton, Carver, Dakota, Goodhue, Hennepin, Isanti, Kanabec, Meeker, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Ramsey, Scott, Sherburne and Washington counties.

Most of the data was collected at 1.5 points/square meter. Smaller areas were collected with 2 points/square meter and with 8 points/square meter:
    1. 1.5 points/square meter covers Morrison, Mille Lacs, Benton, Isanti, Sherburne, Anoka, Meeker, Hennepin, Washington, Carver, Scott, and Goodhue counties.
    2. 2 points/square meter covers the Dakota Block (southern 2/3 of Dakota County)
    3. 8 points/square meter covers portions of Minneapolis/St. Paul and the City of Maple Grove
See map of block boundaries: https://www.mngeo.state.mn.us/chouse/elevation/metro_data_delivery_dates.pdf

Data are in the UTM Zone 15 coordinate system, NAD83 (HARN), NAVD88 Geoid09, meters. The tiling scheme is 16th USGS 1:24,000 quadrangle tiles.

The vendor delivered the data to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in several formats:

    1. One-meter digital elevation model
    2. Edge-of-water breaklines
    3. Classified LAS formatted point cloud data

DNR staff quality-checked the data and created three additional products: two-foot contours, building outlines and hillshades.

This metadata record was created at the Minnesota Geospatial Information Office using information supplied by the vendor and by DNR.

    Description

This data set is a digital soil survey and generally is the most detailed level of soil geographic data developed by the NationalCooperative Soil Survey. The information was prepared by digitizingmaps, by compiling information onto a planimetric correct baseand digitizing, or by revising digitized maps using remotelysensed and other information. This data set consists of georeferenced digital map data and computerized attribute data. The map data are in a soil survey area extent format and include a detailed, field verified inventoryof soils and miscellaneous areas that normally occur in a repeatable pattern on the landscape and that can be cartographically shown at the scale mapped. A special soil features layer (point and linefeatures) is optional. This layer displays the location of features too small to delineate at the mapping scale, but they are large enough and contrasting enough to significantly influence use and management. The soil map units are linked to attributes in the National Soil Information System relational database, which gives the proportionate extent of the component soils and their properties. The following Layers have been merged into one data layer and the goal is to have one seamless data layer in MSTM coordinate projection when NRCS completes its digital conversion process and as with any data set if you have questions or identify errors you should always go back to the orignal source for clarification. This data set is for viewing and for convience. Last update was 02-12-2008. Counties included are as follows: Adams, Alcorn, Amite, Benton, Carroll, Calhoun, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Claiborne, Clarke, Clay, Coahoma, Copiah, Covington, Desoto,Forrest, Franklin, George, Grenada, Hancock, Harrison, Hinds, Holmes, Humphreys, Issaquena, Itawamba, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Jefferson Davis, Jones, Kemper, Lafayette, Lamar, Lawrence, Lauderdale, Lee, Leflore, Lincoln, Lowndes, Madison, Marion, Marsha, Monroe, Montgomery, Neshoba, Newton, Noxubee, Oktibbe, Panola, Pearl, Pike, Pontotoc, Prentiss, Quitman, Rankin, Sharkey, Simpson, Stone, Sunflower, Tallahtachie, Tate, Tippah, Tishmingo, Tunica, Union, Warren, Washington, Wathall, Webster, Wilkinson, Yalobusha, Yazoo
