    Description

A survey of people from 31 different countries around the world found that mental health was the biggest health problem respondents said was facing their country in 2024. Other health problems reported by respondents included cancer, stress, and obesity. The COVID-19 pandemic The COVID-19 pandemic impacted almost every country in the world and was the biggest global health crisis in recent history. It resulted in hundreds of millions of cases and millions of deaths, causing unprecedented disruption in health care systems. Lockdowns imposed in many countries to halt the spread of the virus also resulted in a rise of mental health issues as feelings of stress, isolation, and hopelessness arose. However, vaccines to combat the virus were developed at record speed, and many countries have now vaccinated large shares of their population. Nevertheless, in 2024, ** percent of respondents still stated that COVID-19 was the biggest health problem facing their country. Mental health issues One side effect of the COVID-19 pandemic has been a focus on mental health around the world. The two most common mental health issues worldwide are anxiety disorders and depression. In 2021, it was estimated that around *** percent of the global population had an anxiety disorder, while **** percent suffered from depression. Rates of depression are higher among females than males, with some *** percent of females suffering from depression, compared to *** percent of men. However, rates of suicide in most countries are higher among men than women. One positive outcome of the COVID-19 pandemic and the spotlight it shined on mental health may be a decrease in stigma surrounding mental health issues and seeking help for such issues. This would be a positive development as many people around the world do not or cannot receive the necessary treatment they need for their mental health.

    Description

According to the data from 2025, some 16 percent of respondents said that rising health care costs were the most important health issue facing the United States. Cancer ranked second on the list with 15 percent. Issues with healthcare costsCurrently, the most urgent problem facing American healthcare is the high costs of care. The high expense of healthcare may deter people from getting the appropriate treatment when they need medical care or cause them to completely forego preventative care visits. Many Americans reported that they may skip prescription doses or refrain from taking medication as prescribed due to financial concerns. Such health-related behavior can result in major health problems, which may raise the long-term cost of care. Inflation, medical debt, and unforeseen medical expenses have all added to the burden that health costs are placing on household income. Gun violence issueThe gun violence epidemic has plagued the United States over the past few years, yet very little has been done to address the issue. In recent years, gun violence has become the leading cause of death among American children and teens. Even though more than half of Americans are in favor of tougher gun control regulations, there is little political will to strongly reform the current gun law. Gun violence has a deep traumatic impact on survivors and society, it is developing into a major public health crisis in the United States.

    Description

[Abstract] The author has been in a suboptimal state of health for an extensive period of time and had experienced difficulties in work and life. The goal was to identify a simple method for implementing self-treatment. The author used a method referred to as ‘inward vision’ to observe, perceive, feel, and record her own physical condition. A set of simple and convenient self-diagnostic methods to determine the location and characteristic of a disease was summarised through consideration of these ‘records of perceived observation’. A series of oral capsules constituting traditional Chinese remedies was developed based on these records and findings from the extant literature. The set of Chinese remedies is extraordinary and unusual, comprising dozens of species of traditional Chinese herbal remedies. There are a considerable number of different combinations of these herbs used for the treatment of numerous diseases and symptoms. It is safe and easy to consume. Over the years, the author has self-treated various symptoms and improved her health. If a large proportion of people are able to self-treat their illnesses, the world would be improved. It would be a step forward in the ability of humans to fight diseases. The diagnostic and therapeutic method described herein is simple, convenient, efficient, and cost-effective. This could be efficacious in solving socio-economic problems such as lack of access to effective medical treatment. It can be used to conduct research on several aspects, including food, plants, animals, and medical equipment. Furthermore, ‘inward vision’ as a method of thinking may be helpful to researchers in other disciplines.

The author Xiuli Yang is the founder of Yang’s six-position treatment method and the developer of the Zhenshanliyang series Chinese remedies.

    Description

Chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs) pose a significant global health burden, exacerbated by aging populations and fragmented healthcare systems. This study employs a comprehensive literature review method to systematically evaluate the integration of medical and preventive services for chronic disease management in the context of big data, focusing on pre—hospital risk prediction, in—hospital clinical prevention, and post—hospital follow—up optimization. Through synthesizing existing research, we propose a novel framework that includes the development of machine learning models and interoperable health information platforms for real—time data sharing. The analysis reveals significant regional disparities in implementation efficacy, with developed eastern regions demonstrating advanced closed—loop management via unified platforms, while western rural areas struggle with manual workflows and data fragmentation. The integration of explainable AI (XAI) and blockchain—secured care pathways enhances clinical decision—making while ensuring GDPR—compliant data governance. The study advocates for phased implementation strategies prioritizing data standardization, federated learning architectures, and community—based health literacy programs to bridge existing disparities. Results show a 30–35% reduction in redundant diagnostics and a 15–20% risk mitigation for cardiometabolic disorders through precision interventions, providing a scalable roadmap for resilient public health systems aligned with the “Healthy China” initiative.

Market Dynamics of Big Data Analytics in Healthcare Market

Key Drivers for Big Data Analytics in Healthcare Market

Growing Use of EMR and EHR to Increase the Demand Globally:

One aspect that has contributed to the widespread implementation of EHR is government backing for their adoption, given their advantages over traditional paper-based health records. Adoption of EHRs benefits ambulatory practices and patients alike because they enhance patient care, facilitate faster access to records, and improve care coordination; increase practice efficiency and reduce costs through reduced paperwork; foster patient participation and transparency; and improve diagnostic and patient outcomes through accurate prescribing. For instance, To safeguard and legitimize digital healthcare data, the Indian government introduced the Digital Information Security in Healthcare Act (DISHA) in March 2019. The purpose of DISHA is to control the creation, gathering, storing, processing, sharing, and ownership of individually identifiable health information and patient health data. Reduced transcribing expenses, less time spent on paperwork, better billing documentation, fewer or no chart pulls, and storage, and better patient outcomes and care can all help cut down on operating expenses. It is said that putting this into practice saves a lot of money. Moreover, hospitals and medical practitioners can reduce unnecessary and excessive spending by utilizing analytical tools. Research has also shown that medical errors can result in billion-dollar expenses, including higher medical malpractice lawsuit costs and additional expenses for patients who require therapy to recover from errors in medicine. In addition, The application of predictive analytics can improve patient care and lower the likelihood of disease in the future. Thus, it is anticipated that the growing demand to lower operating costs in the healthcare sector will contribute to the expansion of big data analytics in healthcare market.

Key Restraint Factor for the Big Data Analytics in Healthcare Market

Rising Concerns About Safety Could Prevent Market Expansion:

The technology creates serious questions about data security and privacy, as well as about issues like fake data creation, the need for real-time protection, and its desire. Description

Background: Digital data sources have become ubiquitous in modern culture in the era of digital technology but often tend to be under-researched because of restricted access to data sources due to fragmentation, privacy issues, or industry ownership, and the methodological complexity of demonstrating their measurable impact on human health. Even though new big data sources have shown unprecedented potential for disease diagnosis and outbreak detection, we need to investigate results in the existing literature to gain a comprehensive understanding of their impact on and benefits to human health. Objective: A systematic review of systematic reviews on identifying digital data sources and their impact area on people's health, including challenges, opportunities, and good practices. Methods: A multidatabase search was performed. Peer-reviewed papers published between January 2010 and November 2020 relevant to digital data sources on health were extracted, assessed, and reviewed. Results: The 64 reviews are covered by three domains, that is, universal health coverage (UHC), public health emergencies, and healthier populations, defined in WHO's General Programme of Work, 2019–2023, and the European Programme of Work, 2020–2025. In all three categories, social media platforms are the most popular digital data source, accounting for 47% (N = 8), 84% (N = 11), and 76% (N = 26) of studies, respectively. The second most utilized data source are electronic health records (EHRs) (N = 13), followed by websites (N = 7) and mass media (N = 5). In all three categories, the most studied impact of digital data sources is on prevention, management, and intervention of diseases (N = 40), and as a tool, there are also many studies (N = 10) on early warning systems for infectious diseases. However, they could also pose health hazards (N = 13), for instance, by exacerbating mental health issues and promoting smoking and drinking behavior among young people. Conclusions: The digital data sources presented are essential for collecting and mining information about human health. The key impact of social media, electronic health records, and websites is in the area of infectious diseases and early warning systems, and in the area of personal health, that is, on mental health and smoking and drinking prevention. However, further research is required to address privacy, trust, transparency, and interoperability to leverage the potential of data held in multiple datastores and systems. This study also identified the apparent gap in systematic reviews investigating the novel big data streams, Internet of Things (IoT) data streams, and sensor, mobile, and GPS data researched using artificial intelligence, complex network, and other computer science methods, as in this domain systematic reviews are not common.
