    Description

Our Co-design team is from the University of Texas, working on a Department of Energy-funded project focused on the Beaumont-Port Arthur area. As part of this project, we will be developing climate-resilient design solutions for areas of the region. More on www.caee.utexas.edu. We captured aerial photos in the Port Arthur Coastal Neighborhood Community and the Golf Course on Pleasure Island, Texas, in June 2024. Aerial photos taken were through DroneDeploy autonomous flight, and models were processed through the DroneDeploy engine as well. All aerial photos are in .JPG format and contained in zipped files for each area. The processed data package includes 3D models, geospatial data, mappings, and point clouds. Please be aware that DTM, Elevation toolbox, Point cloud, and Orthomosaic use EPSG: 6588. And 3D Model uses EPSG: 3857. For using these data: - The Adobe Suite gives you great software to open .Tif files. - You can use LASUtility (Windows), ESRI ArcGIS Pro (Windows), or Blaze3D (Windows, Linux) to open a LAS file and view the data it contains. - Open an .OBJ file with a large number of free and commercial applications. Some examples include Microsoft 3D Builder, Apple Preview, Blender, and Autodesk. - You may use ArcGIS, Merkaartor, Blender (with the Google Earth Importer plug-in), Global Mapper, and Marble to open .KML files. - The .tfw world file is a text file used to georeference the GeoTIFF raster images, like the orthomosaic and the DSM. You need suitable software like ArcView to open a .TFW file. This dataset provides researchers with sufficient geometric data and the status quo of the land surface at the locations mentioned above. This dataset could streamline researchers' decision-making processes and enhance the design as well.

    Description

The Museum Fire and Flood mapping project used AZ NAIP LiDAR Data to create a three-dimensional model of Flagstaff within Blender. The Museum Fire and Flood were ideal for 3D mapping as the two closely related events were driven by elevation and topography in the mountains north of Flagstaff. Approximately 30 NAIP Point Cloud tiles were used for this project. A detailed LiDAR-based hillshade was created using texture and displacement tools within Blender. This methodology produced a detailed and unique shaded relief for the map that helps illustrate the region's topography. These cartographic methods demonstrate how high-severity fire in the watershed ultimately resulted in subsequent flooding in Flagstaff.Data: NIFC Open Data, AZ Geo Data Hub, PAG LiDAR, Flagstaff GIS

    Description

The 3D model of the City of Antwerp was created for internal use by the City Services, including for urban planning and environmental purposes. Such as calculating solar power of the roofs. Citizens can consult and download this model via this site. The XY coordinates are always expressed in Belgian Lambert 1972 and altitude is expressed in Meter TAW, this is low tide in Ostend. The ground plane is therefore not zero, but the height of the subsoil at that location relative to sea level. Creation: The model was created by Eurosense on behalf of the City of Antwerp. The source data is based on the Digital Height Model Flanders - https://overheid.vlaanderen.be/informatie-vlaanderen/products-services/digital height model-dhmv from 2014 and the GRB buildings, newer buildings in the city therefore have no height. You can view the 3D model here in this viewer: To the viewer - https://s3-ant1.antwerpen.be/prd-3d/viewer Download You can also download the 3D model in tiles of 1 km2. The terrain heights of the skp and glb format are also given. For this purpose, GIS users should download the data themselves from the Flemish government's website. There are 4 formats offered per zip file: KeyHole Markup language (.kmz) - https://developers.google.com/kml : for google applications The Graphics Layer Transmission Format (.glb) - https://www.khronos.org/gltf/ : used in 3D animation and gaming software including sketchFab and Blender The OGC CityGML Format (.gml) - https://www.ogc.org/standards/citygml : used in GIS applications. The Sketchup Format (.skp) - https://www.sketchup.com/ : for the program sketchup. To the download page - https://s3-ant1.antwerpen.be/prd-3d/dl

    Description

The attribute data for this point dataset come from U.S. Energy Information Administration, Form EIA-815, Monthly Bulk Terminal and Blender Report. A bulk terminal is a facility primarily used for storage, marketing, and, in many cases, blending of petroleum products, unfinished oils, biofuels, and natural gas liquids. The geographic area the report covers is the 50 States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and other U.S. possessions. The facility location data represent the approximate location based on research of publicly available information from sources such as Federal agencies, company websites, and satellite images on public websites.
