    Description

This dataset is part of the Cadastral National Spatial Data Infrastructure (CadNSDI) publication dataset for rectangular and non‐rectangular Public Land Survey System (PLSS) data. This dataset represents the GIS Version of the Public Land Survey System including both rectangular and non-rectangular surveys. The primary source for the data is cadastral survey records housed by the BLM supplemented with local records and geographic control coordinates from states, counties as well as other federal agencies such as the USGS and USFS. The data has been converted from source documents to digital form and transferred into a GIS format that is compliant with FGDC Cadastral Data Content Standards and Guidelines for publication. This data is optimized for data publication and sharing rather than for specific "production" or operation and maintenance. This data set includes the following: PLSS Fully Intersected (all of the PLSS feature at the atomic or smallest polygon level), PLSS Townships, First Divisions and Second Divisions (the hierarchical break down of the PLSS Rectangular surveys) PLSS Special surveys (non-rectangular components of the PLSS) Meandered Water, Corners and Conflicted Areas (known areas of gaps or overlaps between Townships or state boundaries). The Entity-‐ Attribute section of this metadata describes these components in greater detail. The CadNSDI or the Cadastral Publication Data Standard is the cadastral data component of the NSDI. This is the publication guideline for cadastral data that is intended to provide a common format and structure and content for cadastral information that can be made available across jurisdictional boundaries, providing a consistent and uniform cadastral data to meet business need that includes connections to the source information from the data stewards. The data stewards determine which data are published and should be contacted for any questions on data content or for additional information. The cadastral publication data is data provided by cadastral data producers in a standard form on a regular basis. Cadastral publication data has two primary components, land parcel data and cadastral reference data. It is important to recognize that the publication data are not the same as the operation and maintenance or production data. The production data is structured to optimize maintenance processes, is integrated with internal agency operations and contains much more detail than the publication data. The publication data is a subset of the more complete production data and is reformatted to meet a national standard so data can be integrated across jurisdictional boundaries and be presented in a consistent and standard form nationally.

    Description

This layer provides all marks and associated information that have an order of 6 or better. Cadastral surveys are required to connect to these marks if they are within a specified distance.

A cadastral survey network mark is a node which is (or was) occupied by a physical survey monument that meets accuracy standards suitable for cadastral requirements. i.e. Cadastral Survey Network Marks have a NZGD2000 horizontal coordinate order of 6 or better. The complete definition for these mark orders is defined by the following Standard. "https://www.legislation.govt.nz/regulation/public/2021/0095/latest/whole.html#LMS489621"

When a new cadastral survey network mark is named as part of a cadastral survey dataset (plan) its name consists of a mark type and number that is unique to that survey, followed by the plan number e.g. IS I DP 3456; IS II DP3456.

    Description

This layer provides the latest bearing (direction) and/or distance for cadastral boundaries.

When a cadastral survey is undertaken the relationship between boundary and non-boundary marks is ascertained or measured. • This commonly is in the form or a vector (bearing and distance), but occasionally just one component. • Some relationships are defined as arcs. In this data layer, the arc length is recorded in the distance field and a separate record holds the chord.

Only observations that have been captured in Landonline are available. This includes vectors that were re-captured in the Survey Capture Areas from survey plans lodged prior to Landonline and all survey observations since.

    Description

Often these parcels were surveyed before township surveys in their area. They may also be supplemental to them (as is the case with some Cadastral Islands). Sometimes these were laid out after a township survey was done, so some may be part of a geographic township. Cadastral Location includes the following: GTP Block - Timber block used by the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway for feeding steam engines, building bridges, and for supplying railway ties. Mining Location - A parcel of land whose surveyed boundaries were laid out during the late nineteenth century for the Crown sale of land for mining purposes to groups or individuals. Cadastral Island - Island delineated on survey plans. It may or may not be part of a geographic township. Other Location - A parcel of land whose surveyed boundaries were laid out during the late nineteenth century for the Crown sale of land for various agricultural or farming purposes to groups or individuals. These locations are mainly found in Northern Ontario and also exist in the un-surveyed territories.

    Description

This layer provides metadata about cadastral surveys along with reference points indicating the location of the survey.

A cadastral survey determines and describes the spatial extent (including boundaries) of interest of land within New Zealand. Each survey is allocated a unique reference number (that prior to Landonline included reference to the land district.

This data provides details that identify the type of survey, the purpose, description and key dates relating to the survey.

    Description

The second and third divisions are combined into this feature class as an intentional de-normalization of the PLSS hierarchical data. The polygons in this feature class represent the smallest division to the sixteenth that has been defined for the first division. For example In some cases sections have only been divided to the quarter. Divisions below the sixteenth are in the Special Survey or Parcel Feature Class.

This feature class is part of the Cadastral National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) CADNSDI publication data set for rectangular and non-‐rectangular Public Land Survey System (PLSS) data set.

This data set represents the GIS Version of the Public Land Survey System including both rectangular and non-rectangular surveys.

    Description

Data set for providing cadastral maps in digital form in DXF format. The data comes from the ISKN database (Cadastre Information System). The cadastral map includes a semi-final and descriptive folder. The location contains the boundaries of plots, cadastral areas and administrative units, building perimeters and point fields. The descriptive elements include text inscriptions (par-customs numbers, geographical nomenclature, etc.), map marks (marks of land types, etc.) and lines (borders of protected areas, etc.). When converting data into DXF format, some digital map data (information about point number and position point quality code, symbols on lines, etc.) are lost. The data set is provided as open data (CC-BY 4.0 license). The data is based on ISKN (Cadastre Information System). The cadastral map is provided along the cadastral territories in the JTSK coordinate system (EPSG:5514). There are only areas with a cadastral map in digital form (to 10. 01. 2022 is 97.82 % of the territory of the Czech Republic, i.e. 77 150.84 km²). Data is provided in DXF format. Data is compressed for download (ZIP). More cadastral Act 256/2013 Coll., Decree on the Land Registry No 357/2013 Coll., Decree on the Provision of Data No. 358/2013 Coll., as amended.

    Description

This layer provides survey mark information for marks that are not part of a parcel A non-boundary mark is any survey mark that is not on a boundary point. The points in this dataset represent physical survey monuments usually placed for cadastral requirements. The data set also includes geodetic marks. Non-boundary marks now enter the Landonline system predominately as part of a cadastral survey dataset (plan) and occasionally via the geodetic processes. For Cadastral marks (i.e.the majority) its name consists of a mark type and number (and is unique to that survey), followed by the ‘plan’ number e.g. IS I DP 3456; IS II DP3456. Note: Non-boundary marks used to connect cadastral surveys to the geodetic network are those of 6th order (or better) and this subset is available as the NZ Cadastral Survey Network Marks layer. This dataset extends the Landonline stored data by including the network accuracy which is based upon its assigned Landonline order - refer LINZS25006 (https://www.linz.govt.nz/resources/regulatory/standard-tiers-classes-and-orders-linz-data-linzs25006?document=256). The accuracy provided relates to the accuracy of coordinates of the mark and has little relevance to the accuracy of the boundary in relation to other boundaries. For example, if the coordinates of the mark were used to locate it, a user would expect to find the existing mark within the accuracy (distance) stated.

    Description

The polygon (vector) shapefiles represent Public Land Survey System (PLSS) sections, or 1-square mile areas of land, with information about Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land and mineral use authorizations for mineral materials. The land areas specified by BLM authorizations vary in size and orientation, and may cross one or more PLSS section boundaries. For spatial consistency, the information was aggregated to the square mile PLSS section boundary. The original source data from BLM Cases Recordation database (LR2000) were specific to the day they were generated (March 6, 2016) and subsequent data pulls will likely be different.

Download .zipThis data set represents the GIS Version of the Public Land Survey System including both rectangular and non-rectangular surveys. The metadata describes the lineage, sources and production methods for the data content. The definitions and structure of this data is compliant with FGDC Cadastral Data Content Standards and Guidelines for publication. This coverage was originally created for the accurate location of the oil and gas wells in the state of Ohio. The original data set was developed as an ArcInfo coverage containing the original land subdivision boundaries for Ohio. Ohio has had a long and varied history of its land subdivisions that has led to the use of several subdivision strategies being applied. In general, these different schemes are composed of the Public Land Surveying System (PLSS) subdivisions and the irregular land subdivisions. The PLSS subdivisions contain townships, ranges, and sections. They are found in the following major land subdivisions: Old Seven Ranges, Between the Miamis (parts of which are known as the Symmes Purchase), Congress Lands East of Scioto River, Congress Lands North of Old Seven Ranges, Congress Lands West of Miami River, North and East of the First Principal Meridian, South and East of the First Principal Meridian, and the Michigan Meridian Survey. The irregular subdivisions include the Virginia Military District, the Ohio Company Purchase, the U.S. Military District, the Connecticut Western Reserve, the Twelve-Mile Square Reservation, the Two-Mile Square Reservation, the Refugee Lands, the French Grants, and the Donation Tract. Description

The polygon (vector) shapefiles represent claim areas within Public Land Survey System (PLSS) sections aggregated by serial (claim) numbers with information about Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land and mineral use authorizations for plans of operations and notices. The land areas specified by BLM authorizations vary in size and orientation, and may cross one or more PLSS section boundaries. For spatial consistency, the information was aggregated to the square mile PLSS section boundary and by serial numbers. The original source data from BLM Cases Recordation database (LR2000) were specific to the day they were generated (March 6, 2016) and subsequent data pulls will likely be different.

    Description

Government Land Office maps (GLOs) are a result of the effort to survey all United States public lands before settlement. Starting in 1812 land was divided into square six mile blocks called townships, then subdivided into sections and ranges. Each subdivided area was surveyed and given its own map or GLO. During this process surveyors were required to indicate cultural resources such as roads and Indian trails and standardized symbols were used to represent geographic features. These GLOs are now maintained by the Bureau of Land Management as part of the official Land Status and Cadastral Survey records. As land was divided into parcels of individual ownership additional cadastral survey maps were created over time. For this reason there are often multiple GLOs or "cadastral survey maps" for one township / range, generally numbered one through four. For this seamless GLO layer, DAHP focused solely on the more historical GLOs which were usually listed as image number one or two for that specific township / range in the BLM Cadastral Survey records. In some cases no GLOs were available for review. Such areas included National Forest Lands, National Parks, Indian Reservations, and remote wilderness areas.
