    Description

Point feature class and related table containing the Precise Surveys measurement time series. Measurements include elevations, Northings and Eastings, distances, and point-to-point measurements. Northing and Easting measurements are in CA State Plane Coordinate systems, Elevations measurements are provided in NAVD88 or NGVD29. This dataset is for data exploration only. These measurements and point locations are not considered survey-grade since there may be nuances such as epochs, adjustments, and measurement methods that are not fully reflected in the GIS data. These values are not considered authoritative values and should not be used in-lieu of actual surveyed values provided by a licensed land surveyor. Related data and time series are stored in a table connected to the point feature class via a relationship class. There may be multiple table entries and time series associated to a single mark. Data was assembled through an import of Excel tables and import of mark locations in ArcGIS Pro. Records were edited by DOE, Geomatics, GDSS to resolve any non-unique mark names. This dataset was last updated 4/2024.

This GIS grid atlas contains precipitation frequency estimates for California based on precipitation data collected between 1850-2010. This atlas is an updated version of volume XI (California) of NOAA Atlas 2, published in 1973 and volume 1 of NOAA Atlas 14 (Semiarid Southwest), published in 2006. The grids provide information for durations from 5 minutes through 60 days, and for return periods of 1 year through 1000 years. All grids are in geographic coordinate system (NAD83 horizontal datum) and units are in 1000th of inches. The grid data also contains estimates for Semiarid Southwest from NOAA Atlas 14 Volume 1 Version 5. Please see the metadata page for the Semiarid Southwest portion of the grid.

    Description

The Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map (DFIRM) Database depicts flood risk information and supporting data used to develop the risk data. The primary risk classifications used are the 1-percent-annual-chance flood event, the 0.2-percent-annual-chance flood event, and areas of minimal flood risk. The DFIRM Database is derived from Flood Insurance Studies (FISs), previously published Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs), flood hazard analyses performed in support of the FISs and FIRMs, and new mapping data, where available. The FISs and FIRMs are published by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The file is georeferenced to earth's surface using the UTM projection and coordinate system. The specifications for the horizontal control of DFIRM data files are consistent with those required for mapping at a scale of 1:12,000.

    Description

Watershed Sciences, Inc. (WS) collected Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) data of the Klamath River and associated riparian zones from Klamath Falls, Oregon to Happy Camp, California for Woolpert, Inc. Acquisition of the data occurred between February 27th and March 15th, 2010. The total deliverable area, including a 100 m buffer, is 107,547 acres. The LiDAR survey uses a Leica ALS60 laser system. For the Klamath River survey area, the sensor was set to yield an average native pulse density of > 8 points per square meter over terrestrial surfaces. Up to 4 range measurements are possible per pulse, and all discernible laser returns were processed for the output dataset. OCM received 1,039 LAZ files from the Oregon Lidar Consortium. The files were in California State Plane zone 1 projected coordinate system, NAD83 (HARN) and geoid09. No metadata came with this dataset; information in this record is derived from the accompanying project report, which is linked below. Additionally, bare-earth DEMs produced from this dataset are available for download, and are linked in the Related Items section below.

    Description

🇺🇸 미국 English The Watershed Boundary Dataset (WBD) is a seamless, national hydrologic unit dataset. Hydrologic units represent the area of the landscape that drains to a portion of the stream network. (https://www.usgs.gov/national-hydrography/watershed-boundary-dataset) It is maintained by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in partnership with the states. The Department of Water Resources is the steward for the California portion of this dataset. The hydrologic units (HU) in the WBD form a standardized system for organizing, collecting, managing, and reporting hydrologic information for the nation. The HUs in the WBD are arranged in a nested, hierarchical system with each HU in the system identified using a unique code. Hydrologic unit codes (HUC) are developed using a progressive two-digit system where each successively smaller areal unit is identified by adding two digits to the identifying code the smaller unit is nested within. WBD contains eight levels of progressive hydrologic units identified by unique 2- to 16-digit codes. The dataset is complete for the United States to the 12-digit hydrologic unit. The 8-digit level unit is often referred to as HUC8 and is a commonly used reference framework for planning and environmental assessment. This particular version of the dataset was created by downloading the CA State extract of the National Hydrography Dataset from the USGS website https://www.usgs.gov/national-hydrography/access-national-hydrography-products and then performing a geoprocessing operation in ArcGIS Pro software to clip the HUC8s at the state of California political boundary. (https://data.cnra.ca.gov/dataset/california-county-boundaries2). A web map service was created with this dataset, but at it's original digitized resolution it can take a long time to render in a web map application. This dataset is a simplified version, created by use of the ArcGIS Simplify Polygon tool with the Douglas-Peucker Line simplification algorithm, reducing the vertex count from 1,095,449 to 9108. This dataset was reprojected from the original NAD 83 Geographic Coordinate System to WGS 1984 Web Mercator auxiliary sphere for use in web map applications. Any questions about this dataset may be sent to jane.schafer-kramer@water.ca.gov

    Description

Topographic data were collected by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in 2015 for Little Holland Tract in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta, California. The data were collected on foot using a global positioning system (GPS) backpack platform that consisted of survey-grade Trimble R10 and R7 global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receivers with Zephyr 2 antennas. Orthometric elevations relative to NAVD88 were computed using the National Geodetic Survey Geoid12a, and the final data were projected in Cartesian coordinates using the UTM Zone 10 North (meters) (NAD83[2011]) coordinate system. The mean estimated vertical uncertainty of the 2015 USGS GPS backpack survey is 3.5 cm.
