The Morro Bay shore station is maintained by Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. The station has been operational since 2007 and consists of four sensors. This station is fixed to the North T-pier approximately one meter below the surface and located near the mouth of Morro Bay. These sensors provide near-real time observations of ocean water conductivity, salinity, temperature, depth, dissolved oxygen, chlorophyll fluorescence, turbidity and nitrate. These nearshore sensors are part of the Central and Norther California Ocean Observing System (CeNCOOS). They measure various water quality parameters at fixed points along the California coast. acknowledgment=Data collection was supported by multiple awards to California Polytechnic State University and an award from NOAA's Integrated Observing System to the Central and Northern California Ocean Observing System at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute (NA11NOS0120032). cdm_data_type=TimeSeries cdm_timeseries_variables=station,longitude,latitude comment=Data produced by Ryan Walter with partial funding from CeNCOOS (cencoos_communicatons@mbari.org) contributor_email=webmaster.ndbc@noaa.gov,,cencoos_communications@mbari.org,feedback@axiomdatascience.com contributor_name=NOAA National Data Buoy Center (NDBC),World Meteorological Organization (WMO),Central & Northern California Ocean Observing System (CeNCOOS),Axiom Data Science contributor_role=contributor,contributor,contributor,processor contributor_role_vocabulary=NERC contributor_url=https://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/,https://wmo.int/,http://cencoos.org/,https://www.axiomdatascience.com Conventions=IOOS-1.2, CF-1.6, ACDD-1.3, NCCSV-1.2 coverage_content_type=physicalMeasurement defaultDataQuery=sea_water_pressure,sea_water_ph_reported_on_total_scale_internal_qc_agg,sea_water_turbidity,sea_water_turbidity_qc_agg,sea_water_ph_reported_on_total_scale_external,sea_water_pressure_qc_agg,sea_water_temperature,fractional_saturation_of_oxygen_in_sea_water,sea_water_ph_reported_on_total_scale_external_qc_agg,sea_water_practical_salinity_qc_agg,fractional_saturation_of_oxygen_in_sea_water_qc_agg,sea_water_practical_salinity,sea_water_ph_reported_on_total_scale_internal,sea_water_electrical_conductivity_qc_agg,sea_water_electrical_conductivity,mass_concentration_of_oxygen_in_sea_water,mass_concentration_of_chlorophyll_in_sea_water,sea_water_temperature_qc_agg,z,mass_concentration_of_chlorophyll_in_sea_water_qc_agg,time,mass_concentration_of_oxygen_in_sea_water_qc_agg&time>=max(time)-3days Easternmost_Easting=-120.8589 featureType=TimeSeries geospatial_lat_max=35.37085 geospatial_lat_min=35.37085 geospatial_lat_units=degrees_north geospatial_lon_max=-120.8589 geospatial_lon_min=-120.8589 geospatial_lon_units=degrees_east geospatial_vertical_max=0.0 geospatial_vertical_min=0.0 geospatial_vertical_positive=up geospatial_vertical_units=m gts_ingest=true history=Downloaded from California Polytechnic State University, Center for Coastal Marine Sciences at http://cpool1.marine.calpoly.edu/cpool/CCMS_MorroBay/ id=20679 infoUrl=https://sensors.ioos.us/#metadata/20679/station institution=California Polytechnic State Univeristy, San Luis Obispo instrument=SeaBird ISO_Topic_Categories=Oceans keywords_vocabulary=GCMD Earth Science Keywords. Chief Scientist: Todd Martz Function: Measuring Ocean Acidification in the Field. The SeapHOx can measure not only the pH of seawater but other crucial parameters such as dissolved oxygen, temperature, and salinity. This data was collected from a SeapHOx sensor mounted on a mooring in the outer lagoon area of Agua Hedionda. Data collection started in 2019 and is ongoing. cdm_data_type=TimeSeries cdm_timeseries_variables=station, longitude, latitude Conventions=ACDD-1.3, COARDS, CF-1.6, NCCSV-1.2 Easternmost_Easting=-117.3275 featureType=TimeSeries geospatial_lat_max=33.1425 geospatial_lat_min=33.1425 geospatial_lat_units=degrees_north geospatial_lon_max=-117.3275 geospatial_lon_min=-117.3275 geospatial_lon_units=degrees_east infoUrl=https://sio.ucsd.edu institution=Scripps Institution of Oceanography Northernmost_Northing=33.1425 sourceUrl=(local files) Southernmost_Northing=33.1425 standard_name_vocabulary=CF Standard Name Table v29 subsetVariables=station, latitude, longitude testOutOfDate=now-1day time_coverage_end=2021-01-06T05:04:48Z time_coverage_start=2019-08-22T17:00:25Z Westernmost_Easting=-117.3275

The California Harmful Algal Bloom Monitoring and Alert Program (CalHABMAP) collects weekly phytoplankton and water quality data at eight piers along the Central and Southern California coast. HABMAP provides timely updates on HAB events, and aids in understanding the timing, extent, and impact of these events on humans and the marine ecosystem. cdm_data_type=TimeSeries cdm_timeseries_variables=Location_Code, longitude, latitude Conventions=COARDS, CF-1.6, ACDD-1.3, NCCSV-1.2 defaultGraphQuery=time,Temp,&time>=now-180day&.draw=linesAndMarkers&.marker=5 Easternmost_Easting=-124.2234 featureType=TimeSeries geospatial_lat_max=40.72343 geospatial_lat_min=40.72343 geospatial_lat_units=degrees_north geospatial_lon_max=-124.2234 geospatial_lon_min=-124.2234 geospatial_lon_units=degrees_east geospatial_vertical_max= geospatial_vertical_min= geospatial_vertical_positive=down geospatial_vertical_units=m infoUrl=https://calhabmap.org institution=CalHABMAP keywords_vocabulary=GCMD Science Keywords Northernmost_Northing=40.72343 sourceUrl=(local files) Southernmost_Northing=40.72343 standard_name_vocabulary=CF Standard Name Table v29 subsetVariables=Location_Code, latitude, longitude testOutOfDate=now-132days time_coverage_end=2024-08-28T17:40:00Z time_coverage_start=2017-08-16T19:00:00Z Westernmost_Easting=-124.2234
