    Description

This dataset is no longer being updated as of 5/11/2023. It is being retained on the Open Data Portal for its potential historical interest.

This dataset shows positive COVID-19 Cases in Cambridge by neighborhood. It is reported to Cambridge by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts once per day. Of Note:

Population data are from Cambridge Community Development, and are sourced from the 2013-2017 American Community Survey estimates, and may differ from actual population counts.

Cases for which the home address is missing, misspelled, or incorrect (i.e., not an actual Cambridge address) may not be represented on the maps. For these reasons, the total case count reflected in the maps is lower than the current case count for the city.

The maps reflect the time period of March 10, 2020 (first known positive case) through present. Cases are not removed from the maps when a resident recovers or passes away. The maps do not include COVID-19 cases among Cambridge residents in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.

Data are updated once per day. Case counts are subject to change.

The Cambridge Public Health Department (CPHD) is using a tool called “geocoder,” developed by the City’s Information Technology Department, to assign the home addresses of cases to one of the city’s 13 neighborhoods. The geocoder tries to match each case address to the City's official address list. Cambridge's geocoder is run locally and off-network to ensure health data privacy.

To learn more about the demographics of the city’s neighborhoods, see City of Cambridge Neighborhood Statistical Profile 2019.

    Description

This table includes residential building permits issued from 1996 through December 31, 2023. Each listing includes the permitted address, map-lot parcel identification number, Cambridge neighborhood, prior use, permitted use, number of permitted units, and number of units lost or gained,

The date reflects the year during which a building permit was first issued for a development project. This is not an indication of the date of completion. This list only includes projects that removed an existing building, constructed a new building or combined or split units within an existing structure. Major rehabilitation projects that did not change a structures unit count are not included here. All data is subject to revision.

Data sources include the Cambridge Assessing Department, the Cambridge Development Log, and the Cambridge Inspection Services Department.

Description City of Cambridge, MA, GIS basemap development project encompasses the land area of City of Cambridge with a 200-foot fringe surrounding the area and Charles River shoreline towards Boston. The basemap data was developed at 1" = 40' mapping scale using digital photogrammetric techniques. Planimetric features; both man-made and natural features like vegetation, rivers have been depicted. These features are important to all GIS/mapping applications and publication. A set of data layers such as Buildings, Roads, Rivers, Utility structures, 1 ft interval contours are developed and represented in the geodatabase. The features are labeled and coded in order to represent specific feature class for thematic representation and topology between the features is maintained for an accurate representation at the 1:40 mapping scale for both publication and analysis. The basemap data has been developed using procedures designed to produce data to the National Standard for Spatial Data Accuracy (NSSDA) and is intended for use at 1" = 40 ' mapping scale. Where applicable, the vertical datum is NAVD1988.

    Description

This map is part of the series that covers the whole of Australia at a scale of 1:250 000 (1cm on a map represents 2.5 km on the ground) and comprises 513 maps. This is the largest scale at which published topographic maps cover the entire continent. Each standard map covers an area of 1.5 degrees longitude by 1 degree latitude or about 150 kilometres from east to west and 110 kilometres from north to south. There are about 50 special maps in the series and these maps cover a non-standard area. Typically, where a map produced on standard sheet lines is largely ocean it is combined with its landward neighbour. These maps contain natural and constructed features including road and rail infrastructure, vegetation, hydrography, contours (interval 50m), localities and some administrative boundaries. The topographic map and data index shows coverage of the sheets. Product Specifications Coverage: The series covers the whole of Australia with 513 maps. Currency: Ranges from 1995 to 2009. 95% of maps have a reliability date of 1994 or later. Coordinates: Geographical and either AMG or MGA (post-1993) Datum: AGD66, GDA94, AHD. Projection: Universal Traverse Mercator (UTM) Medium: Paper, flat and folded copies.

    Description

This table includes residential building permits issued from 1996 to the present (within the last six months). Each listing includes the permitted address, map-lot parcel identification number, Cambridge neighborhood, prior use, permitted use, and change in the number of residential units.

The date reflects the year during which the building permit was issued for the project, not the date the project was completed. This list only includes projects that removed an existing building, constructed a new building or combined or split units within an existing structure. Major rehabilitation projects that did not change a structures unit count are not included here. All data is subject to revision. Less information is available/included for permits prior to 2019.

Data sources include the Cambridge Assessing Department, the Cambridge Development Log, and the Cambridge Inspection Services Department.

Description City of Cambridge, MA GIS basemap development project encompasses the land area of City of Cambridge with a 200 foot fringe surrounding the area and Charles River shoreline towards Boston.

Purpose City of Cambridge 1" - 40' base map layers from an April 14, 2010 flyover. Basemap layers created by Infotech America.

    Description

AUSGeoid98 data files contain a 2 minute grid of AUSGeoid98 data covering the Australian region, which you can use to interpolate geoid-ellipsoid separations for the positions required. You can use your own interpolation software, or you can use Geoscience Australia's Windows Interpolation software (Winter). The data files are text files in a standard format that cover the same area as standard topographic map areas. Files covering both 1:250,000 (approximately 100 x 150 km) and 1:1,000,000 (approximately 400 x 600 km) map areas are available. There is a 4 minute overlap on all sides of each area. Data format: AUSGeoid98 data files have a header record at the start of each file, to distinguish them from the superseded AUSGeoid93 data files. AUSGeoid98 data files show the geoid-ellipsoid separation to 3 decimal places, while the superseded AUSGeoid93 data files showed only 2 decimal places. AUSGeoid98 deflections of the vertical were computed from the geoid-ellipsoid separation surface, while the AUSGeoid93 deflections of the vertical were computed from OSU91A.
