This parcels data set is a spatial representation of municipal tax lots for Camden County, New Jersey that have been extracted from the NJ statewide parcels composite by the NJ Office of Information Technology, Office of GIS (NJOGIS). Parcels at county boundaries have been modified to correspond with the NJ county boundaries and the parcels in adjacent counties.Each parcel contains a field named PAMS_PIN based on a concatenation of the county/municipality code, block number, lot number and qualification code. Using the PAMS_PIN, the dataset can be joined to the MOD-IV database table that contains supplementary attribute information regarding lot ownership and characteristics. Due to irregularities in the data development process, duplicate PAMS_PIN values exist in the parcel records. Users should avoid joining MOD-IV database table records to all parcel records with duplicate PAMS_PINs because of uncertainty regarding whether the MOD-IV records will join to the correct parcel records. There are also parcel records with unique PAMS_PIN values for which there are no corresponding records in the MOD-IV database tables. This is mostly due to the way data are organized in the MOD-IV database.The polygons delineated in the dataset do not represent legal boundaries and should not be used to provide a legal determination of land ownership. Parcels are not survey data and should not be used as such.The MOD-IV (Tax Assessor's) table for the county is packaged together with the parcels as one download. The MOD-IV system provides for uniform preparation, maintenance, presentation and storage of property tax information required by the Constitution of the State of New Jersey, New Jersey Statutes and rules promulgated by the Director of the Division of Taxation. MOD-IV maintains and updates all assessment records and produces all statutorily required tax lists for property tax bills. This list accounts for all parcels of real property as delineated and identified on each municipality's official tax map, as well as taxable values and descriptive data for each parcel. Tax List records were received as raw data from the Taxation Team of NJOIT which collected source information from municipal tax assessors and created the statewide table. Three classes of impervious surfaces--buildings, roads, and other impervious--were mapped for New Jersey through a semi-automated process developed using eCognition software. The automated feature extraction workflow used a Geographic Object-Oriented Image Analysis (GEOBIA) framework to extract the three impervious classes from the source datasets which include digital imagery, LiDAR point clouds and several vector data sets including Land use/land cover, road centerlines and hydrographic features, using a rule-based expert system.

This feature class (shapefile) consists of point locations of public, private, and charter schools including pre-schools, day care facilities, adult and vocational schools in New Jersey, with minimal attributes. Most of the public schools were initially located in 2003 by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, and were checked in 2007-2016 by the NJ Office of Geographic Information Systems (OGIS), other organizations and volunteers. Charter schools were located in 2011 and checked through 2016 by OGIS against the 2016 NJ Department of Education table of public schools that also lists charter schools.Private schools were located initially in 2010, and updated later in 2014 only for Somerset County using the spatial data provided by Somerset County GIS team. The present data set is the result of checking and updating the previous locations by processing the tabular data that were acquired from NJDOE in August, 2016.

The New Jersey Office of Information Technology (OIT), Office of GIS (OGIS) has enhanced the previously published NJ Department of Transportation (DOT) Roadway Network GIS data set to create a fully segmented Road Centerlines of New Jersey feature class. This dataset includes fully parsed address information and additional roadway characteristics. It provides the geometric framework for display and query of relevant non-spatial data published as separate tables that can be joined to the feature class. The enhancement process included integration of multiple data sets, primarily those developed and maintained by county agencies in New Jersey and the US Census Bureau.

The statewide composite of parcels (cadastral) data for New Jersey was developed during the Parcels Normalization Project in 2008-2014 by the NJ Office of Information Technology, Office of GIS (NJOGIS.) The normalized parcels data are compatible with the NJ Department of the Treasury system currently used by Tax Assessors, and those records have been joined in this dataset. This composite of parcels data serves as one of the framework GIS datasets for New Jersey. Stewardship and maintenance of the data will continue to be the purview of county and municipal governments, but the statewide composite will be maintained by NJOGIS. Parcel attributes were normalized to a standard structure, specified in the NJ GIS Parcel Mapping Standard, to store parcel information and provide a PIN (parcel identification number) field that can be used to match records with suitably-processed property tax data. The standard is available for viewing and download at https://njgin.state.nj.us/oit/gis/NJ_NJGINExplorer/docs/NJGIS_ParcelMappingStandardv3.2.pdf. The PIN also can be constructed from attributes available in the MOD-IV Tax List Search table (see below). This feature class includes a large number of additional attributes from matched MOD-IV records; however, not all MOD-IV records match to a parcel, for reasons explained elsewhere in this metadata record. The statewide property tax table, including all MOD-IV records, is available as a separate download "MOD-IV Tax List Search Plus Database of New Jersey." Users who need only the parcel boundaries with limited attributes may obtain those from a separate download "Parcels Composite of New Jersey". Also available separately are countywide parcels and tables of property ownership and tax information extracted from the NJ Division of Taxation database. The polygons delineated in this dataset do not represent legal boundaries and should not be used to provide a legal determination of land ownership. The New Jersey Office of Information Technology, Office of GIS (NJOGIS), in partnership with several local GIS and public safety agencies, as well as the NJ Department of Transportation, has built a comprehensive statewide NG9-1-1 database meeting and exceeding the requirements of the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) 2018 NG9-1-1 GIS Data Standard (NENA-STA-006.1-2018). The previous New Jersey statewide road segment data (Tran_road_centerline_NJ), which included the road name alias information, has been transformed into the NENA data model to create the street name alias table.The existing road centerlines were loaded into New Jersey's version of the NENA NG9-1-1 data model using Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) procedures created with Esri's Data Interoperability Extension. The data subsequently have been updated and corrected.The road centerlines no longer contain any linear referencing information. The linear referencing will only be maintained by the NJ Department of Transportation as part of the NJ Roadway Network.

This data set consists of point locations of public, private, and charter schools in Camden County, NJ. The data set was created for general cartographic use and may not be completely up-to-date.
This data delineates New Jersey drought regions. Drought regions provide a regulatory basis for coordinating local responses to regional water-supply shortages. The six drought regions are based on watershed and water-supply considerations. Drought region boundaries coincide with municipal boundaries as referenced by the N.J. Dept of Environmental Protection (NJDEP). Each municipality in New Jersey is assigned to a drought region based on the watershed covering and supplying water to the municipality. Each data record of the file includes name of the drought region. This is the second version of the drought regions. It differs from the original delineation in two ways: 1) The number of drought regions were expanded from five to six in order to account for water-supply issues identified for the New Jersey coastal plain. The original version included the north part of the Coastal Plain in the central region. Version 2 separates a north coastal region, consisting of Monmouth and northern Ocean Counties, from the coastal region to the south. 2) Municipalities in Mercer County receiving water from the Trenton Water Dept. were moved into the southwest region from the northwest. Pennington and Hopewell boroughs were also moved to the southwest region. This is the third version of the drought regions and was released in May 2004. There are two changes from the second version. Roosevelt Boro in Monmouth County was moved to the southwest drought region (from the coastal north) and Berlin Twp in Camden County was moved to the coastal south drought region (from the southwest). Both changes were made in recognition of the location of actual water supply to these municipalities.

Prior to the year 2000, DVRPC’s aerial imagery consisted of mylar aerial photo enlargements or “atlas sheets”. These atlas sheets were produced from 9x9" aerial photos. The imagery dates from the years 1959, 1965, 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, & 1995. The 1959s and 1965s primarily cover the urbanized portion of the DVRPC region (the DVRPC region is made up of nine counties: Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia in Pennsylvania; Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, and Mercer in New Jersey). Subsequent years provide full coverage of the region, minus the occasional missing scan. In order to increase the efficiency of using the historical aerial imagery, the sheets were scanned into TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) files. Each TIFF file ranges between 35- 40MB in size. Unlike DVRPC’s more recent aerial imagery (2000 and later), the historical aerials are not “orthorectified” or “orthocorrected”. In other words, they are simply aerial images with no spatial reference or uniform scale. Through the process of georeferencing, Montgomery County GIS assigned a spatial reference which will enabled them to be used more readily in a GIS environment. That said, georeferencing is not orthorectifying or orthocorrecting. What it does allow is for the scan to be displayed relative to other spatially referenced GIS layers. A georeferenced scan does not have the properties of an actual orthoimage. Whereas an orthoimage can be used for making accurate measurements, a georeferenced image cannot, as it does not have the spatial accuracy and uniform scale of an orthoimage.
An elevation or topographic contour is a line that connects a series of points of equal elevation and is used to illustrate topography, or relief, on a map. It shows the height of ground above Mean Sea Level (M.S.L.). Numerous contour lines that are close together indicate hilly or mountainous terrain; when far apart, they represent a gentler slope. This layer consists of contours at a five foot interval for Montgomery County. Data was derived from DVRPC and was generated from an aerial topographic survey in 2005.The Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission's (DVRPC) 9-county region is made up of the following: Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties in Pennsylvania; and Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, and Mercer counties in New Jersey.The regional dataset can be be accessed via rest service or downloaded from PASDA
