In 2023, there were about 5.81 million males and 5.56 million females between the ages of 25 and 44 living in Canada, which was the most out of any age group. The next largest age group was between the ages of 45 and 64, with 5.01 million males and 5.11 million females.

In 2022, among first-time HIV cases in Canada where race and/or ethnicity was reported, 30.5 percent of cases were identified as white. Indigenous people (including First Nations, Inuit, Métis, and those identified as Indigenous-not otherwise specified) accounted for 22.6 percent of cases, and 18 percent were reported as Black. Even though the country is often perceived as a model when it comes to inclusion, ** percent of people surveyed in Canada in May 2021 believed that some races are naturally superior to others. This opinion was most prevalent among Canadians who voted for the Conservative Party in the 2019 federal elections (** percent), and among voters of other political parties than the main ones (** percent). In contrast, the most likely to view all races as equal in terms of natural characteristics were New Democratic Party voters.

As of 2021, ** percent of Canadians believed that the fact that the population includes many people of different racial backgrounds makes Canada a better country. This proportion was higher among people who had voted for the Liberal Party or the New Democratic Party (** percent) in the 2019 federal elections, or among Green Party voters (** percent). By contrast, ** percent of respondents who voted for an other party disagreed, as well as almost a quarter of Conservative Party and Bloc Québecois voters.
