    Variables measured
Male and Female Population Under 5 Years, Male and Female Population over 85 years, Male and Female Total Population for Age Groups, Male and Female Population Between 5 and 9 years, Male and Female Population Between 10 and 14 years, Male and Female Population Between 15 and 19 years, Male and Female Population Between 20 and 24 years, Male and Female Population Between 25 and 29 years, Male and Female Population Between 30 and 34 years, Male and Female Population Between 35 and 39 years, and 9 more
    Measurement technique
The data presented in this dataset is derived from the latest U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey (ACS) 2019-2023 5-Year Estimates. To measure the three variables, namely (a) male population, (b) female population and (b) total population, we initially analyzed and categorized the data for each of the age groups. For age groups we divided it into roughly a 5 year bucket for ages between 0 and 85. For over 85, we aggregated data into a single group for all ages. Description
    About this dataset

    Context

The dataset tabulates the data for the Little Canada, MN population pyramid, which represents the Little Canada population distribution across age and gender, using estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey (ACS) 2019-2023 5-Year Estimates. It lists the male and female population for each age group, along with the total population for those age groups. Higher numbers at the bottom of the table suggest population growth, whereas higher numbers at the top indicate declining birth rates. Furthermore, the dataset can be utilized to understand the youth dependency ratio, old-age dependency ratio, total dependency ratio, and potential support ratio.

    Key observations

    • Youth dependency ratio, which is the number of children aged 0-14 per 100 persons aged 15-64, for Little Canada, MN, is 29.3.
    • Old-age dependency ratio, which is the number of persons aged 65 or over per 100 persons aged 15-64, for Little Canada, MN, is 27.4.
    • Total dependency ratio for Little Canada, MN is 56.7.
    • Potential support ratio, which is the number of youth (working age population) per elderly, for Little Canada, MN is 3.6.

This Alberta Official Statistic compares the distribution of Alberta’s population by age and sex for two Census years (2006 and 2011). Age and sex are the most basic characteristics of a population. Every population has a different age and sex composition – the number and proportion of males and females in each age group. These characteristics are typically represented in a population pyramid.

    Description

Contained within the 3rd Edition (1957) of the Atlas of Canada is a map that shows three condensed maps of the percentage of population: under 20 years of age, 20-64 years of age, and over 64 years of age illustrated by the census division, circa 1951. Each of these maps is accompanied by a pie chart showing the percentage distribution by province and territory. The two remaining maps show urban and rural sex ratios using the number of males to 100 females by census division as of 1951. The rural sex ratio map is accompanied by a chart showing the ratio of males to 100 females by province and territory. As well, a chart accompanies the urban sex ratio map and shows the ratio of males to 100 females for chief urban centers. A set of age-sex pyramids that show the 1951 percentage distribution of males and females by quinquennial age groups for Canada, each province and the territories are also included.

    Description
    About this dataset

    Context

The dataset tabulates the data for the Canadian, TX population pyramid, which represents the Canadian population distribution across age and gender, using estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey 5-Year estimates.

    • Youth dependency ratio, which is the number of children aged 0-14 per 100 persons aged 15-64, for Canadian, TX, is 35.0.
    • Old-age dependency ratio, which is the number of persons aged 65 or over per 100 persons aged 15-64, for Canadian, TX, is 17.4.
    • Total dependency ratio for Canadian, TX is 52.4.
    • Potential support ratio, which is the number of youth (working age population) per elderly, for Canadian, TX is 5.7.

These long-term population projections by single year of age and sex have been developed by applying the component cohort survival model to assumptions about future trends in fertility, mortality and migration. Age and sex are presented as percentages of the total population for the estimated (1996-2022) and projected (2023-2051) periods. These visualizations use the low, medium and high scenario assumptions.

Patio Heater Pyramid Style Market Outlook

According to our latest research, the Global Patio Heater Pyramid Style market size was valued at $1.05 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach $2.22 billion by 2033, expanding at a robust CAGR of 8.7% during the forecast period of 2024–2033. The primary driver behind this impressive growth trajectory is the increasing consumer preference for outdoor living spaces, which has been further amplified by the rise in home improvement activities and the hospitality sector’s focus on enhancing outdoor guest experiences. The surge in demand for aesthetically pleasing yet functional heating solutions has positioned pyramid-style patio heaters as a favored choice among both residential and commercial users globally.

    Regional Outlook

North America currently holds the largest share of the global Patio Heater Pyramid Style market, accounting for over 37% of total revenue in 2024. This dominance is attributed to the region’s mature outdoor living culture, high disposable incomes, and a robust hospitality sector, especially in the United States and Canada. The widespread adoption of outdoor patio heating solutions in both residential and commercial settings, combined with favorable climatic conditions that encourage year-round outdoor activities, has bolstered market growth. Stringent safety regulations and a strong presence of leading manufacturers have further contributed to the market’s maturity and stability in North America, making it a benchmark for innovation and product quality.

The Asia Pacific region is anticipated to be the fastest-growing market, with a projected CAGR of 11.2% through 2033. Rapid urbanization, increasing investments in the hospitality and tourism industries, and a growing middle-class population with rising disposable incomes are the key growth engines in this region. Countries such as China, Japan, and Australia are witnessing a surge in demand for outdoor heating solutions as urban dwellers seek to maximize their living spaces. Moreover, the proliferation of luxury hotels and restaurants is driving the adoption of patio heater pyramid styles to enhance guest comfort and ambiance. Aggressive marketing strategies, coupled with expanding e-commerce channels, are also accelerating market penetration in this region.

Emerging economies in Latin America and the Middle East & Africa are experiencing steady but more localized growth. While these regions hold a smaller share of the global market, there is significant potential for expansion as consumer awareness increases and the hospitality sector evolves. However, challenges such as limited product availability, higher import costs, and inconsistent regulatory frameworks can impede rapid adoption. Nonetheless, governments’ focus on bolstering tourism and infrastructure development, alongside the gradual shift towards premium outdoor amenities, is expected to create new opportunities for market players targeting these emerging markets.
