TA_CROWN_RSRV_NOTATIONS_SVW contains the spatial representation (polygon) of active and applied for Reserves and Notations. Reserves are a particular type of crown land tenure that grants an agency the right to implement a restriction on the use of crown land. Federal and Provincial government agencies and corporations may apply for the establishment of Land Act Reserves over high value sites required for public purposes, including research and education. Depending on the type of reserve (Order in Council, Map Reserve, Land Act Designation (which can be designated use or prohibitive use) and Notation of Interest) the area is withdrawn from disposition under the Land Act. The view was created to provide a simplified presentation of this single tenure type from the disposition information in the Tantalis operational system. Private map (managed forest code 50) used in the Story Map of Forest Management in Canada, 2017.Private lands were identified using provincial and territorial land ownership datasets. Detailed ownership datasets were not available in all jurisdictions, so proxies were used where necessary. In Saskatchewan, lands south of the province's Commercial Forest Zone were classified as Private. This includes some Crown lands, but these are generally small and not included in forest management plans or leased for commercial forestry purposes.Source: This web map shows the private areas used in the map of forest management in Canada, 2017 and includes the following tiled layer:Private (Managed Forest Code 50)Data provided by Alberta Agriculture and Forestry; British Columbia Ministry of Forests; Manitoba Sustainable Development; Natural Resources Canada; New Brunswick Department of Energy and Resource Development; Newfoundland & Labrador Department of Fisheries and Land Resources; Northwest Territories Department of Environment and Natural Resources; Nova Scotia Department of Lands and Forestry; Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry; Prince Edward Island Department of Communities, Land & Environment; Québec Ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs; Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment; and Yukon Energy, Mines and Resources.

    Description

This application allows users to interactively view Crown land interest data layers and explore land parcels. It is intended to be used as a research tool to assist land research on interests on British Columbia Crown land. The tool can be used to view Crown land interest data, imagery, add your own data, and print maps. This application does not include all interests on Crown land. Rather, it provides a curated selection of publicly available data. Only publicly available interest layers are included. No confidential layers are displayed. User-added data is only accessible to the individual who adds it. This data is stored temporarily and will not persist if the user clears their browser cache. Due to volume of data included layers may take time to load. To improve draw time, zoom in as closely as possible to your area of interest. Data is sourced live from the BC Geographic Warehouse, which may occasionally experience temporary outages. The information presented on this map is provided without prejudice for the purposes of land research. It is subject to revision and does not constitute a legal definition.

    Description

Layers in this dataset represent Public Land Survey System subdivisions for Canadian County. Included are Townships, Sections, Quarter Sections and Government Lots. This data was created from 2019 to 2021 as part of a project to update county parcel data in partnership with ProWest & Associates (https://www.prowestgis.com/) and CEC Corporation (https://www.connectcec.com/). Corners were located to the quarter section level and additional corners were determined for the South Canadian River meanders based on the original government surveys. Quarter section corners were located using Certified Corner Records ( filed by Oklahoma licensed professional surveyors with the Oklahoma Department of Libraries where those records included coordinates. When a corner record could not be found or did not include coordinates, other interpolation methods were employed. These included connecting known corner record locations to unknown corners using data from filed subdivisions or from highway plans on record with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. Where no corner records with coordinates were available and no interpolation methods could be used, aerial inspection was used to locate corners as the last option.Corner location accuracy varies as the method of locating the corner varies. For corners located using Certified Corner Records, accuracy is high depending on the age of the corner record and can possibly be less than 1 U.S. Foot. For corners located using interpolation methods, accuracy depends on the additional material used to interpolate the corner. In general, newer subdivisions and highway plans yield higher accuracy. For meander corners located using original government surveys, accuracy will be low due to the age of those surveys which date to the 1870's at the earliest. Additionally, corners that were located with aerials as the last available option cannot be assumed to be accurate. The data was built at the quarter section level first by connecting located corners and larger subdivisions were created from the quarter sections. For townships that extend into Grady County, township lines were only roughly located outside sections not in Canadian County.

The purpose of this dataset is to show Crown land selection boundaries and information as outlined by the Treaty Land Entitlement (TLE) Agreements in Manitoba, pursuant to the Crown Lands Act 5(1)(d). This is a dynamic dataset — data can change daily.Site selections are generally identified and submitted on hard copy 1:50,000 National Topographic System (NTS) maps by the applicable First Nations. Selections are digitized using, where possible, 1:50,000 NTS map sheet base mapping, satellite or aerial imagery in the background. The method used is dependent on the location of the selection and the availability of digital base mapping in the area. A record may contain multiple polygons that have been combined to form one record.Best efforts have been taken to reasonably illustrate the parcels. Please note that this dataset supersedes the Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park Trails and Fish Creek Trails datasets. The dataset also includes provincial trails designated under the Trails Act and established as provincial trails under the Public Lands Act, through Ministerial Order. These provincial trails include the trail tread (the surface on which people travel) as well as a boundary which is minimum 10m either side of the centerline of the trail tread. The boundary is defined in the Trail Designation: Ministerial Order. This boundary is to ensure associated structures are captured within the trail boundary, such as signs, parking areas, and warming shelters and ensure the safety of people using the trail system. If any discrepancy occurs between the Alberta Public Land Use Zone (PLUZ) maps and data the maps shall take precedence. For provincial trails, Public Land Use Zone maps have not been updated to reflect provincial trails. Users must adhere to the signs and notices for the applicable trail.

The title to the land is privately held by a First Nation corporation until it gets transferred to the Government of Canada, however the mines and minerals and other residual interests may be owned by the Crown (Government of Manitoba) and they are required to be transferred to the Government of Canada (subject to third party interest resolution, if applicable). The sites are generally identified by title with reference to a plan of survey, metes and bounds description. Locations are mapped using existing cadastral or parcel mapping data, or reasonably illustrate the site within the dataset. A record may contain multiple polygons that have been combined to form one record. All boundaries are to be considered approximate and for illustrative purposes only. For more information on Treaty Land Entitlement (TLE) Agreements please visit the Manitoba government website: https://www.gov.mb.ca/inr/treaty-land-entitlement/index.htmlFields included [Alias (Field Name): Field description]OBJECTID (OBJECTID): Sequential unique whole numbers that are automatically generatedSite ID (SITE_ID): Site ID number of the selected siteArea in Square Metres (AREA): Area in square metresArea in Acres (ACREAGE): Area in acresBand Council Resolution Number (BCR_NO): Band Council Resolution numberName of the First Nation Making the Land Selection (BAND_NAME): Name of the First Nation making the land selectionSite Number (SITE_NO): Site number of the selected siteSelection Name (SELECTION): Name of the selected site

    Description

Forests cover large areas of Canada but only some of these forests are actively managed. The Map of Forest Management in Canada provides a generalized classification of forest management in Canada, including: protected areas, Treaty/Settlement Lands (including Treaty Lands identified in Final Agreements, Land Claim Agreements and Settlements), Indian Reserves, other federal reserves (including military training areas), provincial and territorial reserves and restricted use areas, private lands, short- and long-term Crown forest tenure areas and areas with no current Crown timber dispositions. The Managed Forest Map of Canada dataset provides a wall-to-wall classification of lands in Canada. It does not differentiate areas of forest from non-forest. The Managed Forest Map of Canada differs from maps defining the area designated as “managed forest” for greenhouse gas inventory reporting purposes and does not replace those maps. Instead, the Managed Forest Map of Canada shows areas that are currently managed, as of June 2017, and provides generalized management type classification for those areas. Collaborating agencies plan to update the dataset periodically as needed, and remain open to receiving advice from experts concerning refinement priorities for future versions.

    Description

Tile layer of private, managed forest code 50 used in the Story Map of Forest Management in Canada, 2017.Private lands were identified using provincial and territorial land ownership datasets. Detailed ownership datasets were not available in all jurisdictions, so proxies were used where necessary. In Saskatchewan, lands south of the province's Commercial Forest Zone were classified as Private. This includes some Crown lands, but these are generally small and not included in forest management plans or leased for commercial forestry purposes.Data provided by Alberta Agriculture and Forestry; British Columbia Ministry of Forests; Manitoba Sustainable Development; Natural Resources Canada; New Brunswick Department of Energy and Resource Development; Newfoundland & Labrador Department of Fisheries and Land Resources; Northwest Territories Department of Environment and Natural Resources; Nova Scotia Department of Lands and Forestry; Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry; Prince Edward Island Department of Communities, Land & Environment; Québec Ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs; Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment; and Yukon Energy, Mines and Resources.
