This map shows the schools, school districts, and Board of Education districts in Carteret County, North Carolina. The coordinate system for this data is NAD 1983 State Plane North Carolina FIPS 3200 Feet. School districts are decided by the Board of Education and Board of Education districts are decided by the Board of Commissioners. All data was digitized by the Carteret County Information Technology Department- GIS Division.

This data indicates physical addresses located in Carteret County and is used for 911 services to be able to locate homes needing emergency assistance. It is updated on a continual basis as people request addresses and new homes or businesses are built. This data set is a digital soil survey and generally is the most detailed level of soil geographic data developed by the National Cooperative Soil Survey. The information was prepared by digitizing maps, by compiling information onto a planimetric correct base and digitizing, or by revising digitized maps using remotely sensed and other information.

The purpose of this data is to show the boundaries of municipalities and their respective extraterritorial jurisdictions (ETJ's) in Carteret County. These data can be useful for reference by the general public, as well as permitting and planning and inspections.This dataset is a collection of polygons representing boundaries of municipalities within Carteret County. These polygons were mapped using information from the Carteret County Tax Department, the Carteret County Register of Deeds, and each municipality's planning department. The dataset is updated by the GIS Division of the Carteret County IT Department on a monthly basis, as well as whenever new annexations are recorded.

This data represents cemeteries in Carteret County. The data was generated using Carteret County Tax Parcel Data and the "The Carteret County_Cemetery_Book_2007", edited by Robert G. Lewis, Ph.D and made available by the Carteret County Historical Society

This data set is a collection of polygons representing the boundaries of subdivisions wholly or partially within the County of Carteret (North Carolina) political boundary. The subdivisions were mapped using the legal description field in the county tax parcel layer (e.g. "LOT 1 SEA GATE"), map books from the Carteret County Register of Deeds office, and new surveys of parcel divisions. The subdivisions are closed polygons with unique names and the number of lots and square footage calculated. The data was first created in 2013 and was updated from November of 2014 to January of 2015 by the Carteret County IT Department.
