This dataset contains model-based census tract level estimates for the PLACES 2021 release in GIS-friendly format. PLACES is the expansion of the original 500 Cities project and covers the entire United States—50 states and the District of Columbia (DC)—at county, place, census tract, and ZIP Code Tabulation Area (ZCTA) levels. It represents a first-of-its kind effort to release information uniformly on this large scale for local areas at 4 geographic levels. Estimates were provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Division of Population Health, Epidemiology and Surveillance Branch. PLACES was funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) in conjunction with the CDC Foundation. Data sources used to generate these model-based estimates include Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) 2019 or 2018 data, Census Bureau 2010 population estimates, and American Community Survey (ACS) 2015–2019 or 2014–2018 estimates. The 2021 release uses 2019 BRFSS data for 22 measures and 2018 BRFSS data for 7 measures (all teeth lost, dental visits, mammograms, cervical cancer screening, colorectal cancer screening, core preventive services among older adults, and sleeping less than 7 hours a night). Seven measures are based on the 2018 BRFSS data because the relevant questions are only asked every other year in the BRFSS. These data can be joined with the census tract 2015 boundary file in a GIS system to produce maps for 29 measures at the census tract level. UNI-CEN Standardized Census Data Tables contain Census data that have been reformatted into a common table format with standardized variable names and codes. The data are provided in two tabular formats for different use cases. "Long" tables are suitable for use in statistical environments, while "wide" tables are commonly used in GIS environments. The long tables are provided in Stata Binary (dta) format, which is readable by all statistics software. The wide tables are provided in comma-separated values (csv) and dBase 3 (dbf) formats with codebooks. The wide tables are easily joined to the UNI-CEN Digital Boundary Files. For the csv files, a .csvt file is provided to ensure that column data formats are correctly formatted when importing into QGIS. A schema.ini file does the same when importing into ArcGIS environments. As the DBF file format supports a maximum of 250 columns, tables with a larger number of variables are divided into multiple DBF files. Income derived from the decennial Census data reflects the income earned in the prior calendar year, whereas income derived from the American Community Survey (ACS) data reflects the prior 12 month period; note that this inconsistency has a minor effect on historical comparisons (see Income and Earnings Data section of the ACS General Handbook - https://www.census.gov/content/dam/Census/library/publications/2020/acs/acs_general_handbook_2020_ch09.pdf). ACS 1-year data is used for larger geographies – Bay counties and most metropolitan area counties – while smaller geographies rely upon 5-year rolling average data due to their smaller sample sizes. Note that 2020 data uses the 5-year estimates because the ACS did not collect 1-year data for 2020.
Quintile income for 1970-2000 is imputed from decennial Census data using methodology from the California Department of Finance. Bay Area income is the population weighted average of county-level income.
Income has been inflated using the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for 2021 specific to each metro area; however, some metro areas lack metro-specific CPI data back to 1970 and therefore adjusted data uses national CPI for 1970. Note that current MSA boundaries were used for historical comparison by identifying counties included in today’s metro areas.

This dataset provides Census 2021 estimates that classify usual residents in England and Wales by their country of birth, this dataset comprises a more detailed breakdown of birth country. The estimates are as at Census Day, 21 March 2021.
Census 2021 rounded migration estimates for local authorities in England and Wales were originally released on 28 June 2022 in rounded form. The bulletin explored change over time, regional variations and the composition of the population by sex and by five-year age group.
This update provides unrounded migration estimates from Country level down to Output Area.
Area type
Census 2021 statistics are published for a number of different geographies. These can be large, for example the whole of England, or small, for example an output area (OA), the lowest level of geography for which statistics are produced.
For higher levels of geography, more detailed statistics can be produced. When a lower level of geography is used, such as output areas (which have a minimum of 100 persons), the statistics produced have less detail. This is to protect the confidentiality of people and ensure that individuals or their characteristics cannot be identified.

The country in which a person was born.
For people not born in one of in the four parts of the UK, there was an option to select "elsewhere".
People who selected "elsewhere" were asked to write in the current name for their country of birth.
The 2021 Tonga HIES is the new update of this kind, after the 2015/2016, 2009 & 2001 versions. This survey aims to provide indicators on Household Living Standard using monetary aspect (amount of income and expenditure), non-monetary aspect (calory consumed, assets own, imputed rents…) and more social approach (education, health, food security status…). Survey outputs have multiple uses in various domains such as public health (food nutrition analysis), economic development (poverty), system of National Account (consumption aggregates), and they represent a key source of information to populate many National SDGs.

Household Income and Expenditure Survey (HIES) covered all persons who were considered to be usual residents of private dwellings.
Sample survey data [ssd]
The Tonga 2021 HIES sample design is based on a two stages sample design, where each stage corresponds to a random selection: - Stage 1: random selection of census blocks (using the probability of selection proportional to size) - Stage 2: random selection of households (from the selected blocks). Within each selected blocks, 12 households were randomly selected (uniform probability) The survey aims to disseminate results at strata level where stratas are defined on geographical combination of provinces and urban rural areas. The sample sizes were calculated at the strata level, with the aim of minimizing the sampling error (and relative sampling error) within each strata.
The sampling frame used was the 2016 population census.
Computer Assisted Personal Interview [capi]
The 2021 Tonga Household Income and Expenditure Survey (HIES) questionnaire was developed in English and Tongan language and it follows the Pacific Standard HIES questionnaire structure. It is administered on CAPI using Survey Solution, and the diary is no longer part of the form. All transactions (food, non food, home production and gifts) are collected through different recall sections during the same visit. The traditional 14 days diary is no longer recommended in the region. This new method of implementing the HIES present some interesting and valuable advantages such as: cost saving, data quality, time reduction for data processing and reporting. Only a sub sample of the selected HIES sample was asked to fill a 2-week diary (in addition to the core recall HIES questionnaire). But only the recall sections are used to compute the HIES outputs and aggregates, this sub sample HIES diary was made for research purposes.

This dataset contains gridded human population with a spatial resolution of 1 km x 1 km for the UK based on Census 2021 (Census 2022 for Scotland) and Land Cover Map 2021 input data. Data on population distribution for the United Kingdom is available from statistical offices in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland and provided to the public e.g. via the Office for National Statistics (ONS). Population data is typically provided in tabular form or, based on a range of different geographical units, in file types for geographical information systems (GIS), for instance as ESRI Shapefiles. The geographical units reflect administrative boundaries at different levels of detail, from Devolved Administration to Output Areas (OA), wards or intermediate geographies. While the presentation of data on the level of these geographical units is useful for statistical purposes, accounting for spatial variability for instance of environmental determinants of public health requires a more spatially homogeneous population distribution. For this purpose, the dataset presented here combines 2021/2022 UK Census population data on Output Area level with Land Cover Map 2021 land-use classes 'urban' and 'suburban' to create a consistent and comprehensive gridded population data product at 1 km x 1 km spatial resolution. The 2021 short form Census questionnaire was sent out to 100% of all households. The 2021 long form Census questionnaire was sent out to 25% of all households. Because one is a census and one is a sample survey, variables that are available in both the 100% data and 25% sample may have different values.
