This collection contains individual-level and 1-percent national sample data from the 1960 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Census Bureau. It consists of a representative sample of the records from the 1960 sample questionnaires. The data are stored in 30 separate files, containing in total over two million records, organized by state. Some files contain the sampled records of several states while other files contain all or part of the sample for a single state. There are two types of records stored in the data files: one for households and one for persons. Each household record is followed by a variable number of person records, one for each of the household members. Data items in this collection include the individual responses to the basic social, demographic, and economic questions asked of the population in the 1960 Census of Population and Housing. Data are provided on household characteristics and features such as the number of persons in household, number of rooms and bedrooms, and the availability of hot and cold piped water, flush toilet, bathtub or shower, sewage disposal, and plumbing facilities. Additional information is provided on tenure, gross rent, year the housing structure was built, and value and location of the structure, as well as the presence of air conditioners, radio, telephone, and television in the house, and ownership of an automobile. The American Community Survey Education Tabulation (ACS-ED) is a custom tabulation of the ACS produced for the National Center of Education Statistics (NCES) by the U.S. Census Bureau. Welcome to the survey of PHA Engagement with Homeless Households. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has contracted with Abt Associates and its subsidiary Abt SRBI to conduct this survey. The information collected will allow researchers to explore and document how Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) currently serve homeless households. Our purpose is to establish a baseline level of PHAs’ current engagement in serving homeless households and to better understand the current opportunities provided by PHAs that have an explicit preference for homeless households. Findings of this study will enable HUD to:
--identify the variety of mechanisms that PHAs employ to target homeless households for assistance;
--highlight innovative ways in which PHAs may be engaging with homeless households;highlight the broader set of community partners providing services to homeless people.
Through this study PHAs will learn from each other about different approaches to assisting homeless families. Responses to this survey will be used for research purposes only and will NOT be used for compliance monitoring. Area type
Census 2021 statistics are published for a number of different geographies. These can be large, for example the whole of England, or small, for example an output area (OA), the lowest level of geography for which statistics are produced.
For higher levels of geography, more detailed statistics can be produced. When a lower level of geography is used, such as output areas (which have a minimum of 100 persons), the statistics produced have less detail. This is to protect the confidentiality of people and ensure that individuals or their characteristics cannot be identified.

Lower tier local authorities provide a range of local services. There are 309 lower tier local authorities in England made up of 181 non-metropolitan districts, 59 unitary authorities, 36 metropolitan districts and 33 London boroughs (including City of London). This data collection consists of modified records from CENSUS OF POPULATION AND HOUSING, 1970 [UNITED STATES]: PUBLIC USE SAMPLES (ICPSR 0018). The original records consisted of 120-character household records and 120-character person records, whereas the new modified records are rectangular (each person record is combined with the corresponding household record) with a length of 188, after the deletion of some items. Additional information was added to the data records, including typical educational requirement for current occupation, occupational prestige score, and group identification code. This version also differs from the original public use census samples in other ways: persons aged 15-75 were included, no majority males were included, but the majority males from CENSUS OF POPULATION AND HOUSING [UNITED STATES], 1970 PUBLIC USE SAMPLE: MODIFIED 1/1000 5% STATE SAMPLES (ICPSR 7922) were included for convenience, 10 percent of the Black population from each file was included, and Mexican Americans (identified by a Spanish surname) from outside the five southwestern states of Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas were not included in this file. Variables provide information on the housing unit, such as occupancy and vacancy status of house, value of property, commercial use, ratio of rent and property value to family income, availability of plumbing facilities, sewage disposal, complete kitchen facilities, heating facilities, flush toilet, water, television, and telephone. Data are also provided on household characteristics such as household size, family size, and household relationships. Other demographic variables specify age, sex, place of birth, state of residence, Spanish descent, marital status, race, veteran status, income, and ratio of family income to poverty cutoff level. The main users of the information provided by the Census are the government, education facilities (such as schools and tertiary organizations), local authorities, businesses, community organizations and the public in general.
The objectives of Census changed over time shifting from earlier years where they were essentially household registrations and counts, to now where a national population census stands supreme as the most valuable single source of statistical data for Wallis & Futuna. This Census allowed to determine the legal population of Wallis and Futuna in all geographical aspects: Wallis island, Futuna island, the 3 "circonsriptions" (Alo, Sigave, Uvea) and 5 districts (Alo, Sigave, Hahake, Hihifo, Mua).
Census data is now widely used to evaluate: - The availability of basic household needs in key sectors, to identify disadvantaged areas and help set priorities for action plans; - Benefits of development programmes in particular areas, such as literacy, employment and family planning;
In addition, census data is useful to asses manpower resources, identify areas of social concern and for the improvement in the social and economic status of women by giving more information about this part of the population and formulating housing policies and programmes and investment of development funds.

The Census is covering all people alive on the reference date (23rd of July 2018), that are usually living in Wallis and Futuna - whichever nationality they are, for at least 12 months. The Census covered all household and communitiy members. Communities are considered to be: boarding schools, gendarmerie, retirement homes, religious communities, but also people living in mobile dwelling (e.g. boats) and homeless people.

These Public Use Microdata Sample (PUMS) files contain records representing 1-percent samples of the occupied and vacant housing units in the United States and the people in the occupied units in 2000. The 2005 Republic of Palau Census of Population and Housing will be used to give a snapshot of Republic of Palau's population and housing at the mid-point of the decade. This Census is also important because it measures the population at the beginning of the implementation of the Compact of Free Association. The information collected in the census is needed to plan for the needs of the population. The government uses the census figures to allocate funds for public services in a wide variety of areas, such as education, housing, and job training. The American Community Survey (ACS) is an ongoing annual survey on a range of social, economic, demographic, and housing characteristics of the US population. For the purpose of our research study, we used the 5-year tabulations, which gave access to zipcode- and tract-level estimates of the variables.
Census of population and housing refers to the entire process of collecting, compiling, evaluating, analyzing, and publishing data about the population and the living quarters in a country. It entails the listing and recording of the characteristics of each individual person and each living quarter as of a specified time and within a specified territory. It is the source of information on the size and distribution of the population as well as its demographic, social, economic, and cultural characteristics. These information are vital for making rational plans and programs for national and local development.
In April 2011, a national census of population and housing was conducted in the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI). It is the 11th census of population to be undertaken in this century since the first census was undertaken in 1920.
The 2011 Census of Population and Housing is designed to take an inventory of the total population and housing units in the RMI and to collect information about their characteristics. The census of population is the source of information on the size and distribution of the population as well as information about the demographic, social, economic and cultural characteristics. The census of housing, on the other hand, provides information on the supply of housing units, their structural characteristics and facilities which have bearing on the maintenance of privacy, health and the development of normal family living conditions. These information are vital for making rational plans and programs for social and economic development.

Data items in this collection include the individual responses to the basic social, demographic, and economic questions asked of the population in the 1960 Census of Population and Housing. Data are provided on household characteristics and features such as the number of persons in household, number of rooms and bedrooms, and the availability of hot and cold piped water, flush toilet, bathtub or shower, sewage disposal, and plumbing facilities. Additional information is provided on tenure, gross rent, year the housing structure was built, and value and location of the structure, as well as the presence of air conditioners, radio, telephone, and television in the house, and ownership of an automobile. Other demographic variables provide information on age, sex, marital status, race, place of birth, nationality, education, occupation, employment status, income, and veteran status. The data files were obtained by ICPSR from the Center for Social Analysis, Columbia University.
