    Description

This table contains data from the community survey conducted as part of an Audit of the City's Cultural Centers. We surveyed members of the Austin community using a survey developed by the audit team. Survey questions generally asked respondents' opinions on cultural center programs, staff, fees, and facilities. The survey opened January 3 and closed January 27, 2020. Austin community members were invited to take the survey through social media outreach and direct email invitations. The survey and outreach materials were written in English and translated into Spanish, Vietnamese, and Simplified Chinese. A total of 1,330 community members responded to the survey. Respondents were asked only to respond for centers they had visited in the last two years and could respond for more than one center. In this summary of question responses, those who selected "strongly agree" or "agree" were included in the total for "agree" and those who selected "strongly disagree" or "disagree" were included in the total for "disagree." Percentages may not total 100 due to rounding.

This is the Northeast Fisheries Science Center Bottom Trawl Survey database for Northwest Atlantic marine organisms. Survey cruises use a bottom trawl to sample randomly selected stations in an attempt to delineate the species composition, geographic distribution, and abundance of various resources. Fish and selected invertebrate species are identified. Weight, length, total catch numbers, age structures, maturity stages, sex determinations and food content are recorded or collected during the survey cruises but only weight, total catch numbers, and sex determinations are available here. Ichthyoplankton and zooplankton data is available for a subset of the stations. Geographic coverage is from Cape Hatteras to the Gulf of Maine and from the coast to the slope water.

    Description

This dataset contains results from 311 customer surveys. Someone who calls 311 for an issue is sent a small survey after the City believes it has addressed the issue. Not everyone is surveyed, due to some calls being anonymous, or not being able to locate the requester's mailing address.

Results are provided on a 1-5 scale. 1 is unacceptable, 2 is poor, 3 is acceptable, 4 is good, 5 is excellent.

Because the cards are physically mailed out there is a time delay between when a service request is closed and when the City is able to enter the survey results into our system. This data set refreshed daily.

Multiple results per 311 case are possible due to multiple people requesting the same service for the same location. For example, if 10 people ask 311 to have the City repaint a crosswalk at 12th and Grand Street, each of them will be mailed a survey and the results will show in this dataset.

    Description

This dataset contains data from the National Center for Education Statistics' Academic Library Survey, which was gathered every two years from 1996 - 2014, and annually in IPEDS starting in 2014 (this dataset has continued to only merge data every two years, following the original schedule). Description

This dataset is the centerpiece of Pew Research Center's 2014 Religious Landscape Study, a nationally representative telephone survey conducted June 4-Sept. 30, 2014, among a sample of 35,071 U.S. adults. Approximately 60 percent of the interviews were conducted with respondents reached on cellphones (n=21,160) and 40 percent were completed on landlines (n=13,911). A minimum of 300 interviews were conducted in every state and the District of Columbia. Interviewing was conducted in English and Spanish. The survey is estimated to cover 97 percent of the non-institutionalized U.S. adult population; 3 percent of U.S. adults are not reachable by telephone or do not speak English or Spanish well enough to participate in the survey. No adjustments have been made to the data to attempt to account for the small amount of non-coverage.

The size of the national sample is unusually large for a religion survey. There are two main reasons for this. First, the large sample size makes it possible to estimate the religious composition of the U.S. with a high degree of precision. After taking into account the survey's design effect (based on the sample design and survey weights), the margin of error for the results based on the full sample is +/- 0.6 percentage points.

Second, the large sample size makes it possible to describe the characteristics of a wide variety of religious groups, including relatively small groups that cannot be analyzed using data from smaller surveys. With more than 35,000 respondents in total, the Religious Landscape Study includes interviews with roughly 350 in religious groups that account for just 1 percent of the U.S. population, and with 100 or more people in religious groups that are as small as three-tenths of 1 percent of the overall population. For instance, the study includes interviews with 245 Jehovah's Witnesses, a group that accounts for less than 1 percent of the U.S. population and is typically represented by only a few dozen respondents in smaller surveys.

    Description

This Pew Research Center survey is a nationally representative sample of U.S. teens and their parents. The data in this nationally representative sample was gathered using a self-administered web survey, and conducted among 1,811 dyads, with each dyad - or pair - comprised of one U.S. adolescent ages 13 to 17 and one parent per adolescent. The findings from this survey are detailed in the following reports, available on the Pew Research Center website: "https://www.pewforum.org/2019/10/03/for-a-lot-of-american-teens-religion-is-a-regular-part-of-the-public-school-day/" Target="_blank">Report 1,"https://www.pewforum.org/2020/09/10/u-s-teens-take-after-their-parents-religiously-attend-services-together-and-enjoy-family-rituals/" Target="_blank">Report 2. In addition to questions on religious practices, beliefs, and identity, this survey also asked teens a series of knowledge questions about the Holocaust, in order to compare adolescents and adults on knowledge of these topics. That "https://www.pewforum.org/2020/01/22/what-americans-know-about-the-holocaust/ " Target="_blank">report can also be found on the Pew Research Center website.
