The Freight Analysis Framework (FAF5) - Regions dataset was created from 2017 base year data and was published on April 11, 2022 from the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) and is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT)/Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) National Transportation Atlas Database (NTAD). The 2017 Commodity Flow Survey (CFS) contains 132 zones for U.S. domestic regions, which are directly carried over to the geography definitions for the FAF (Version 5) Regions. These geographic areas can be classified as one of the following three types: (1) Metropolitan Area (MA): The state part of a selected metropolitan statistical area (MSA) or combined statistical area (CSA). (2) The Remainder of State (ROS): The portion of a state containing the counties that are not included in the MA type CFS Areas defined above. (3) Whole State: An entire state where no MA type CFS Areas are defined within the state.

The basis for these features is U.S. Geological Survey Scientific Investigation Report 2017-5024 Flood Inundation Mapping Data for Johnson Creek near Sycamore, Oregon. The domain of the HEC-RAS hydraulic model is a 12.9 mile reach of Johnson Creek from just upstream of SE 174th Avenue in Portland, Oregon to its confluence with the Willamette River. Some of the hydraulics used in the model were taken from Federal Emergency Management Agency, 2010, Flood Insurance Study, City of Portland, Oregon, Multnomah, Clackamas and Washington Counties, Volume 1 of 3, November 26, 2010. The Digital Elevation Model (DEM) utilized for the project was developed from LiDAR data flown in 2015 and provided by the Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries. Bridge decks are generally removed from DEMs as standard practice. Therefore, these features may be shown as inundated when they are not. Judgement should be used when estimating the usefulness of a bridge during flood flow. Comparing the bridge to the surrounding ground can be more informative in this respect than simply looking at the bridge itself. Two model plans were used in the creation of the flood layers. The first is a stable model plan using unsteady flow in which the maximum streamflow is held in place for a long period of time (a number of days) in order to replicate a steady model using an unsteady plan. The stable model plan produced the areas of uncertainty contained in the sycor_breach.shp shapefile. The second is an unstable model plan that uses unsteady flow in which the full hydrograph (rising and falling limb) is represented based on the hydrograph shape of the December 2015 peak annual flood. The unstable model plan produced the flood extent polygons contained in the sycor.shp shapefile and the depth rasters and represents the best estimate of flood inundation for the given streamflow at U.S. Geological Survey streamgage 14211500.

Condition or domain being studied Exhaustion is a mostly temporary reaction to prolonged physical or mental strain, such as distress. In some cases, exhaustion can be long-lasting, even chronic. This leads to a severe impairment of the affected person's life. If the persistent exhaustion is not based on a psychological or organic cause this condition is referred to as chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) (Martin et al., 2013; Martin, 2015).
According to previous meta-analyses in the field, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is considered effective and has the highest level of evidence in the treatment of chronic fatigue syndrome (Martin et al., 2013). The National Institutes for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guideline also recommended CBT for the treatment of CFS in 2007. However, with the publication of the 2021 guideline, there was a change in thinking in which CBT was now only classified as a complementary therapy. An update of the current state of research is needed regarding two aspects. First, the last meta-analysis which examined the efficacy of CBT in the treatment of CFS was published eleven years ago (Castell et al., 2011). Second, the release of the 2021 NICE guidelines is debated: While patient associations mostly welcome the changes, many voices of the scientific community criticize the methodological approach of the guideline and its conclusion regarding the individual therapies, especially regarding CBT and therapies with a focus on activity enhancement of the patients (e.g., Turner-Stokes, 2020; Vink et al., 2022). The purpose of this meta-analysis is to examine the efficacy of cognitive behavioral therapy in adult CFS patients.
However, looking only at the efficacy of a treatment is not sufficient. Acceptance in terms of dropping out from an intervention should also be considered. An effective treatment is only beneficial on a larger scale if patients accept it and thus started in the first place (Swift et al. 2017). Currently, there is a large gap in research regarding the study of acceptability of cognitive behavioral therapy in adults with chronic fatigue syndrome. Existing meta-analyses are limited to the efficacy of specific interventions in the treatment of chronic fatigue syndrome. Dropout rates, if reported, are solely listed descriptively. To close this research gap, the planned meta-analysis examines the percentage of individuals participating in (efficacy) trials who terminate treatment prematurely. In addition, it will examine at what point these individuals discontinue treatment.

Autonomous transportation systems have the potential to greatly impact the way we travel. A vital aspect of these systems is their connectivity, facilitated by intelligent transport applications. However, the safety ensured by the vehicular network can be easily compromised by malicious traffic with the exponential growth of IoT devices. One aspect is malicious traffic identification in Vehicular networks. We proposed a hybrid approach uses automated feature engineering via correlation-based feature selection (CFS) and principal component analysis (PCA)-based dimensionality reduction to reduce feature matrix size before a series of dense layers are used for classification. The intended use of CFS and PCA in the machine learning pipeline serves two folds benefit, first is that the resultant feature matrix contains attributes that are most useful for recognizing malicious traffic, and second that after CFS and PCA, the feature matrix has a smaller dimensionality which in turn means that smaller number of weights need to be trained for the dense layers (connections are required for the dense layers) which resulting in smaller model size. Furthermore, we show the impact of post-training model weight quantization to further reduce the model size. Results demonstrate the effectiveness of feature engineering which improves the classification f1score from 96.48% to 98.43%. It also reduces the model size from 28.09 KB to 20.34 KB thus optimizing the model in terms of both classification performance and model size. Post-training quantization further optimizes the model size to 9 KB. The experimental results using CICIDS2017 dataset demonstrate that proposed hybrid model performs well not only in terms of classification performance but also yields trained models that have a low parameter count and model size. Thus, the proposed low-complexity models can be used for intrusion detection in VANET scenario.
