Healthy Chicago Equity Zones is an initiative of the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) to organize and support hyperlocal, community-led efforts that promote health and racial equity. Chicago is divided into six Equity Zones, through which the City collaborates with regional and neighborhood organizations to address issues of common concern – like COVID-19 vaccine distribution, health care access, violence prevention, and food security – and improve quality of life at the neighborhood level.
