This collection comprises geospatial datasets used to create the Beaverdam Valley Neighborhood Association community map and the resulting map in pdf and jpeg formats. This scope of the map covers the borders of Buncombe County, North Carolina, the city limits of Asheville, NC, and the three registered neighborhoods of the Beaverdam Valley (Beaverdam Valley, Hills of Beaverdam, and Beaverdam Run). The source of Employee Demographic data is an employee self-reported system in our City of Asheville ERP software (Tyler Technology - Munis). Employees self-identify for Race and Ethnicity.

This polygon dataset is the official Zoning map of Buncombe County. Zoning is the classification of land into districts, with each district placing restrictions and regulations on the type of uses and development allowed in the district. This dataset only includes County zoning, and does not include any zoning within incorporated municipalities such as within the City of Asheville or Town of Weaverville. This data set is the boundaries of the public school districts in Buncombe County. It used determine school attendance assignments for elementary school, middle school and high school. Information is available for both Buncombe County and City of Asheville Schools.

Asheville Jurisdictions

This dataset includes all building inspections from 2000 to the present. Each building inspection record is identified by a unique “record_id” attribute that corresponds to an associated permit record. Please note that the City of Asheville launched a new permitting system in November 2013.
