The Zoning Map is part of the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO). The UDO codifies the land use policies of the Comprehensive Plan and Buffalo Green Code planning documents. It combines land use, subdivision, and public realm (e.g.; streets, parks, and sidewalks) standards into a single, user-friendly document.The Buffalo Green Code Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) and the Zoning Map divides the City of Buffalo into the following zones: A. The Division of Planning and Zoning supports and advises the following three regulatory boards: Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Historic Preservation Board.
This dataset contains approvals made by the three regulatory boards and Division of Planning staff.
The Planning Board makes determinations on Major Site Plans and Subdivisions. The planning staff makes determinations on Minor Site Plans.
The Preservation Board reviews all exterior changes to landmark properties and properties located within City of Buffalo Preservation Districts as per Chapter 337 of City of Buffalo Code.
The Zoning Board of Appeals reviews all applications seeking relief from what is required by the Unified Development Ordinance.
