TwitterThis feature class shows locations of the historic places within incorporated City of Puyallup. It is Tax Parcel polygon based feature class of historic places that are listed on either the National, Washington State, Pierce County Historical Register or the City of Puyallup's (registry) historical preservation program.Ordinance #2986, effective September 11, 2011 established the City of Puyallup Register of Historic Places. Buildings placed on the Puyallup Register are included in this shapefile and are denoted as such. These properties also have a 'zone designation' of HR and are mapped on the City's Official Zoning Map found in City Hall. They are also noted on the online zoning map book.

TwitterThis feature class is a graphical representation of the residential target area (RTA) of the City of Puyallup's Multi-Family Tax Exemption (MFTE) Program applicability area. This feature class is a representation only and is not regulatory in any way. Puyallup Municipal Code (PMC) 3.70.050 States: "(1) Residential Targeted Area Designated. The area hereby declared to be the residential targeted area of the city of Puyallup includes all properties within the central business district (CBD) zone district as denoted on the official city zoning map. In addition, the residential targeted area shall also consist of all properties directly south of the existing central business district zone southern perimeter within the area bound by 3rd Street SW, 7th Avenue and 2nd Street SE. (2) If a part of any legal lot is within the residential targeted area, then the entire lot shall be deemed to lie within such area. (Ord. 2753, July 7, 2003)." Additional guidelines for the exemption can be found in PMC 3.70.070.

TwitterHistoric places found on any one of four registries are within this feature class. The registries are National, State, County, and City of Puyallup registry. A single historic place may or may not be on all of the registries. Places found on the City of Puyallup registry are denoted as such and carry a 'zone designation' of HR (Historic Registry). These places are identified with the HR designation on the Official Zoning Map, the online Zoning Map book and within the City's GIS database . Places designated as HR are the only properties which are in the City's local historic preservation program consistent with State and Federal requirements.

TwitterThis feature class identifies the parcels within the City of Puyallup where the interim middle housing ordinance #3323 and the revisions to the City's accessory dwelling unit standards defined in ordinance #3324 have a defined effect on the zoning and use allowances on those parcels.

TwitterThe feature class begins with 1987 casefiles because the city changed its zoning code that year. The feature class includes information found in case files about Condition Use Permits, Administrative Adjustments, and Variances for the City of Puyallup. Beginning in 2009 Administrative Conditional Use Permits were recorded. Case number nominclature changed in July 2008 when a new permitting software was implemented. Cases are Denied, Approved, or Approved with Conditions. Since July 2008 cases Approved with Conditions are rarely noted as most cases are approved with canned conditions. Only when extraordinary conditions are imposed will there be a notation of Approved with Conditions.
