TwitterThis U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) data release provides a digital geospatial database for the geologic map of the eastern part of the Challis National Forest and vicinity, Idaho (Wilson and Skipp, 1994). Attribute tables and geospatial features (lines and polygons) conform to the Geologic Map Schema (USGS NCGMP, 2020) and represent the geologic map as published in U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Miscellaneous Investigations Series Map I-2395 (Wilson and Skipp, 1994). The database represents the geology for the 2.7-million-acre map plate at a publication scale of 1:250,000. The map covers primarily Butte, Custer, Lemhi and Blaine Counties, but also includes minor parts of Clark County. TwitterThe geologic and structure map of Choteau 1 x 2 degree quadrangle (Mudge and others, 1982) was originally converted to a digital format by Jeff Silkwood (U.S. Forest Service and completed by the U.S. Geological Survey staff and contractor at the Spokane Field Office (WA) in 2000 for input into a geographic information system (GIS). The resulting digital geologic map (GIS) database can be queried in many ways to produce a variey of geologic maps. Digital base map data files (topography, roads, towns, rivers and lakes, etc.) are not included: they may be obtained from a variety of commercial and government sources. This database is not meant to be used or displayed at any scale larger than 1:250,000 (e.g. 1:100,000 or 1:24,000. The digital geologic map graphics and plot files (chot250k.gra/.hp/.eps and chot-map.pdf) that are provided in the digital package are representations of the digital database. They are not designed to be cartographic products.

Twitter1:24,000 scale Geologic Map of the Iceberg Canyon Quadrangle, Clark County, Nevada and Mohave County, Arizona. Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology Map 166. Detailed geologic mapping by Robert J. Brady, Joan E. Fryxell, and Brian P. Wernicke in 2011. Map includes description of 40 geologic units. The GIS work was in support of the U. S. Geological Survey COGEOMAP program. The Geodatabase specifies feature datasets and feature classes, together with feature attributes, subtypes and domains, suitable for the printed geologic map. In addition to basic geology (lithology, contacts and faults, etc.), the maps may include metamorphic overprints, cross-sections, and explanatory legend-graphics such as correlation charts, used to supplement columnar legends. Includes results of geochemical analyses and age determinations of igneous rocks. The map, text, and GIS work are available for purchase at the links provided under online availability.

Download .zipThis coverage was created from zoning maps provided by the Clark County Planning Commission and the Springfield Department of Public Works, Division of Engineering. The Clark County Maps were dated October, 1973 and the Springfield maps were March, 1972 revised by Springfield Planning, September, 1980. County zoning was in force in Bethel, Green, Harmony, Mad River, and Moorefield Townships while Geman, Pike, and Springfield Townships had county zoning. Madison and Pleasant Townships had no zoning.
The coverage was digitized from these maps utilizing a run length encoding technique sampling along horizontal lines which represented the midline of cells with a height of 250 ft. The measurement increment along these horizontal lines was one decafoot (10 feet). The quadrangle files were then merged into a county file which was subsequently converted to ARC/INFO format.
The user should bear in mind that this coverage is only an approximation of the boundaries as originally drafted . Additional details on the digitizing process are available on request.
Original coverage data was converted from the .e00 file to a more standard ESRI shapefile(s) in November 2014.Contact Information:GIS Support, ODNR GIS ServicesOhio Department of Natural ResourcesReal Estate & Land ManagementReal Estate and Lands Management2045 Morse Rd, Bldg I-2Columbus, OH, 43229Telephone: 614-265-6462Email: gis.support@dnr.ohio.gov Data Update Frequency: As Needed
